Most useful information I've ever received from someone with a neck tattoo.
If a roofer doesn’t have a neck tattoo, I do t want his advice
LMFAOO 😂💀😭
Yes, because having a neck tattoo matters…
Meth. No even once.
😂🤣😂🤣
My husband hasn't been able to find anyone to do our garage roof, or even just help, so I am about to become a roofer as a middle aged office mom. Pray for me LOL.🙃 Thanks this was helpful.
why won’t he do it?
Well its be a yr..update?@@osvaldo8775
Fantastic delivery he doesn't beat it up he gets right to the point when he talks he keeps you interested great job
Most Canadians are tough and they work hard. This man gets in there and does it.
Tornado took the roof off our chicken coop here in Michigan. Everything but the roof is done but I've never one before. Thank you for taking the time to make this!! I'm an almost 60 woman and you made it easy to follow.
Thank you so much for making a simple to follow video for roofing. I'm building an outdoor cat shelter and got some left over roofing tiles from someone, and was clueless how to install properly.
A better way is to divide your shingle is by six. And a better wait to cut your shingles is with an old set of tin snips. And when it comes to your overhang on the other end of the roof, used the Snips to scratch a line from underneath matching your rake overhang. Doing this saves scarring your knuckles and a straighter cut.
I told my husband he should be teaching roofing and gutter installation, he's been doing this for over 60 years and when gutters were still wood. He used to make his own Cedar Shakes.
just finished putting a roof on my carport. I used this video as my tutorial for how, along with the ridge cap and starter shingle. Thanks for putting these out. They saved me alot of money and I know I did it right
So far this has been the best and most clear explanation of this I've seen on CZcams.... super simple clear and right to the point I appreciate it
Thank you, I just half-watched a half a dozen u tube videos till I got to yours,
To the point. Real life professional. Helped me. Dave.
I'm a framer, but my unattached garage is in desperate need of new shingles. Did tear off today and tomorrow I will shingle. Been watching your videos to prepare me and I think they have! Awesome videos, very informative.
Sam Stein I hope they help. Any questions feel free to comment on this video tomorrow and I’ll do my best to help out.
I'm in the exact same boat my friend...this really helped
Thanks for taking the time to make these videos much appreciated, I’m shingling my one sloped shed roof and I have never shingled a roof in my life
I just had a roofer give me an estimate. He was explaining to me about roofing but I didn’t understand. This is verbatim to what he said. You know your stuff. I definitely liked and subscribed to your videos!
Thank you.. very simple, informative, and to the point. better than the other videos ive skimmed through looking for this info
I watched several videos on roofing but this one is short and easy. Just what I needed. I thank you.

Love these videos, very informative and to the point. Getting ready to do my garage next weekend and these videos will help a lot
You are a good teacher. Many professionals have a hard time triaining.
Thanks for this. I live in New Zealand and we dont often use this product here. I'm doing a garden office cabin and this is perfect for the job. Much appreciated, liked and subscribed.
Man straight to the point with the right information. Thanks!
Thank you so much. I'm building a massive duck house and this helped me decide between metal and shingles.🤗
Well done video. I'm glad you took the time to show how to start properly. I was confused about 'booking ', but now I have a better idea. Thanks.
Thank you for your videos!! I decided to build an enclosed porch myself and the one thing I did not have experience in was roofing. I was able to follow your instructions and I think the roof is turning out beautiful! Thank you for all the tips and little added fyi's from someone with experience and knowledge to help ensure quality and prevent mistakes. There isn't room for error when it comes to the roof or you risk the integrity of your entire project and alot of expensive repairs later on. I'm a single Mom raising 3 boys and I get alot of shit sometimes about some of the projects I do, until they see how well it turns out. I couldn't pull it off sometimes without the help of guys like you sharing your knowledge and skills. It is so very appreciated! Xo Have a wonderful day! Thanks again!
I learned something today. Not from the roofing video. I learned about toenail fungus from the 13 minute add I watched after. I let the whole thing run. I hope this helps with funding. I know it helped me. Now I’m informed about toenail fungus. Very educational >>>
😂😂😂
This is great! Exactly the instructions I need for my shed roof.
You're out here saving DIY homeowners' lives, my man. Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing this information I learned how to apply roof shingles to my dog house for the very first time. 🐕 💜🙌🏾
Great video. No BS and really informative. Thanks a lot.
Best thing I’ve seen in a while. Came across a mancer roof that looked pretty strange.
They nailed too high so didn’t hit any of the lower portion of the shingles.
When nailing the top only like that the only thing holding the bottoms together is the tar.
When that’s hanging on a near vertical wall, they will slide and fall down. They were all over the guys balcony and porch area……
Thank you for this information. You are a good teacher, and I appreciate the lesson.
This is Ruben from Bend, Oregon. Roof at Central Oregon Roofing COR. Your a fun dude. Bigggg time
Thank you for the short, concise video. I’m doing my own house trying to scramble to figure this out. This really helped.❤
The most easy to follow instructions thanks
I showed this to a roofing contractor that said he needs to do a tear off because ewe have had two roofs . Which is the code in California. He offered me a 4000$ discount. We didn’t n hire him. He said the starter was proof of having two roofs. Yet know he knows I know neighbors who do roofs came and did it for half the price and it’s amazingly thank you
Thank you! No bs. Straight to the point.
Great instructions, Mr. Average Roofer! Thank you!
Thanks for sharing the knowledge to general public.
You dam Canadian’s! Thanks you so much for the helpful video. I watched all them. Most helpful channel out there. Haven’t had to roof in 15 years. Best refresher course I’ve seen in a long time. Thank you so much!
Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for. I watched all your videos from underlayment to drip edge. Now, I have the courage to change my old roof. 🙂
Excellent video, good job! Thank you so much. I will use the 6 nail method regardless of code, I have high winds.

Great, simple and to the point. Thanks
Very simple ! Thanks for the demonstration ! 👊🏽🍻
You explain it so good great job
Doing the roof on my chicken coop. No experience roofing. This was a perfect video to watch. I didn’t need anything complicated, and you got straight to the point. 👍

Thank you for the instructions
Great video, thank you for the helpful information.
Thank you!Thank you so much!!Just what I needed. I thank you.
And then you forgot to mention that when you start nailing your shingles the 2nd nail needs to be at least 11" from the 1st nail because otherwise it's in a key way. Guys like you are the reason that I tear off roofs every single day that fail and I guess just keep going because it's keeping me working.
@4:18 do your homework next time before you say something intelligent. 🤙🏼
Thanks for this. Helpful
Great videos - very helpful!
Very well explained Dylan!!! Thanks for helping this Jack of all trades (& master of none!😁)!
I was so glad to find this. Thank you for the great video.
There you go!! Someone that actually knows what the HELL he is doing. I've seen so many so called roofers void any warranty whatsoever by nailing to high!! Nailing above the double thickness will pull the shingle down eventually causing the nail to pop the shingle and leak!!! Or blow off
looked everywhere for this!! thank you.
You’re welcome! Glad it help! 🤙🏼
Great video man...
Super informative bro! Thanks I actually came across BDR looking for some guidance on dry rot, you guys are awesome!

You have the best videos! Thanks for all of the info! Do you have any pipe replacement vids?
Great Video, Thank you
Super useful video man, great job
Dylan, I think it's really cool you made this video. I know it sounds corny, but I just built my first big sized dog house. I wanted to know how to shingle the roof. I learned what I was looking for. The dog house looks better than my house. Thanks again.
Great video- thanks for the useful information
Great videos!
Super helpful, I'm doing this on an 8x10 shed tomorrow. Never shingled a roof before but your clear directions have me confident that I can do it. Thanks!
How did it turn out?
@@randonrobinson great! Did it just like this and had it done in a couple of hours. It rained severely the very next day so I'm glad I did it when I did
@@Paintplayer1 good deal! Gunna have to try this out
@@randonrobinson for sure, one thing I think you're supposed to do which I didn't is overhang your starter strip by as much as you're overhanging your shingles. Might want to make sure on that before you start. I ended up adding some strips of starter between my first row of shingles so that it had an overhang in the crack between two shingles
@@Paintplayer1 thanks for looking out! I’ll make sure to do that!
Thank you for sharing bro!
