The EASIEST Way To Measure Any Roof Project!
Very easy to follow your instructions. Great job.
Do you cut a whole in the wood or no
Thanks so much for a very good video. I'll be installing a Roof today, and your tips on the roof basis definitely helped me out! Thank you!!! 😊
Wonderful video - super helpful to align shingles so they are not caught in wind. I like to wrap the top of last row of shingles over the cap for protections also looks smoother especially if there is a severe pitch.
Definitely not average, you’re a pro!
What if i snorted my line? 2:55
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This guy should get a shingle tattoo on his forehead😂
Thanks Dude!!
You've helped me to roof sheds and chicken coops, so thank you so much for putting out these simple concise videos!
Nice job but dont you think it would be nice to have a half inch overhang on the rake??
To bad you don't understand the science behind leaving a gap between drip edge and fascia!
Ladder standoff be helpful
Do u overlap the starter shingles?
Thanks for this video, Dillion! It comes at the perfect time. I would love to see at how-to picture frame video btw. Good to see you back! (The Bracketts, Washington State)
Thanks for the awesome video and all the epic content!!
Dilly whacker, biggggg time.
Good to see you back!
Thanks for the video! What was the point of starting the roll with a slight overhang on the left eave?
Got anxiety watching this. I think the highest I want to be off the ground is my shed roof, and that kinda frightens me too. But it needs shingles and I’m cheap and don’t want to pay someone to do it. However, when the house needs new shingles I’ll gladly let someone else do it 😅
I totally have the scraps for this
Does your body get use to all the labor and intensive work? Or are you sore and feel beat up everyday? I just got done replacing the roof on my lean-to and I am beat haha Your how-to videos helped me a lot. thank you
Thanks for the awesome content and great video!
More to come! :)
Clear and concise. Everything I need to know and no blahblahblah. Thanks!
I had a hole in my roof. So i added a vent instead of simply fixing the hole. 😂
Man needs to learn how to cut with snips
best video. straight to the point. well explained
Happy to be a flat roofer. Working on slopped roofs is so difficult. Kudos to you bud.
How is that vent snug fit into the duct? I mean you placed it flush on the roof, but where is the connection between the duct and that vent? Do you have go go to the attic to do that?
Okay this guy really doesn't know his stuff: definitely "below average". NEVER USE PAPER FELT AS A ROOF UNDERLAYMENT: always go with synthetic or Ice/Water Shield (depending on what local code says). NEVER ATTACH ROOF UNDERLAYMENT WITH ROOFING NAILS; your roof warranty is now invalid, most manufacturers will stipulate it must be attached with cap nails or cap staples. ROOF UNDERLAYMENT ALWAYS GOES OVER THE DRIP EDGE/GUTTER APRON AT THE EAVES AND UNDER THE DRIP EDGE AT THE RAKE EDGE; this is not something that is up for debate but it is a topic that is argued by people who really don't know how to roof. Rolled Starter Course is a vastly superior option to starter shingles: the fact that this guy didn't even mention it as an option tells you how little he really knows.
DON'T COPY THIS GUY!!!! NOBODY DOES THIS FOR VERY GOOD REASON: YOUR ROOF WARRANTY IS NOW COMPLETELY INVALID. Don't believe me? Call IKO, GAF or any of the other major roofing brands and ask them, this guy is an idiot spreading mis-information.
Looks good, but warranty usually void if cutting on the face!
My roofer said my plywood still looks good and doesn’t need removal. But offered to add in new plywood for my whole roof for $2k. Now I’m beginning to think they are being lazy. You removed the plywood with ease. lol I think I should back out on adding new if it’s still good
Thanks for this video!
I recommend you to watch this old house and learn 😮
Great info thanks for sharing! You have great teaching ability and a chill personalty.
Great video!!! Thank you!!!
You are so kind, your instructions are clear, and easy to understand. Thank you, Dylan!!
Great Video. Thank You.
I guess you do metal on front for stormy winds that slap rain water against and under drip edge? No⛈
Best video I've seen. Great job bro!
I know you're a pro but the way you start your nails freaks me out.
Perfect explanation You are a master
Extremely useful video and strait to the point . Thanks !
Man, did a shed in the last couple months - ive done shingling before a few times but its been awhile, followed every video youve made, no other sources i found were as clear, simple, and easy to follow - thanks for all your help brother!
Do you have a video of two open metal valley flashings intersecting? (gable roof)
Nice video !
dude the first piece you installed, the black half... you should either cut it shorter or longer, because what happens is it's exactly the size of the granulated part of the next shingle you will start your course with that overlaps it...and when you nail it (you can see it in the video) you get a big depression where the nail is because the parts to the right of the nail are double layered, it gives less flatnesss to your run
