This is exactly the type of galaxy fabric I have been envisioning for my WRX but couldn’t find any that I actually liked at Joannes. Awesome tutorial, and awesome aesthetic dude. 🤙🏼
Tim McElheny it has far better than loctite and 3m but I’ll be doing fiber optics in the headliner soon and im gonna re sray it with industrial adhesive out of a compressor for peace of mind
Hey, I wasn't sure if there was another place to purchase this fabric from. I've checked out the spoonflower website, but I think it's not long enough. I'm from australia.
@@CHUCKSNDUNKS yeah that stuff is insane! Thanks for the info, I just ordered my headliner for my 06 Hawkeye build, check it out on our Instagram SubarGucci is the name, doing the vinyl on it now, gonna look insane with the headliner now! Thanks Mate!
Vernon Medina I would say purchase the full Six if your doing pillars as well. If not you’ll still want to have extra for accidents and you might have to shift around the fabric to get the center of your design on the headliner that’ll cause you to sacrifice some excess cloth
Camilo Carranza holding up good so far im sure eventually it’ll give the only sure way is to buy the industrial yellow adhesive and spray it out of a hvlp gun. But even then it’ll give after some years like an oem headliner. The sun visor should be fine just gonna have to remove the weatherstrip carefully so you don’t get any leaks
Street Queens Founder lasted a whole lot longer than the other cans but eventually gave out I’m actually going to re do it with industrial grade adhesive shot out of an help gun pretty soon just need to find the time

I'll be doing my Baja as soon as my fabric comes in. The original headliner is so nasty. Excited to see how it turns out. Love the vid!
Dang bro I love your channel please post more!
Looks great man! I'm probably doing my 04 in the next few weeks.
Alan Justice let me know how it turns out !
Will do. I'm probably going to use that site you suggested, but I think I'm going to make my own design. I'll keep you posted.
i hope it worked out imma do mine soon just need to find the right size bc the link doesn’t work anymore lol
How can i size it if a yard not big enough?
Headliners came out good! 👍
Looks good man! Thanks for posting the video
Tim McElheny thanks man 👍🏽
Has the adhesive held up so far?

Nice how did you remove the original material that was on there before modification it
Mohammed shahid the old liner had spots that were already sagging, honestly if you heat it up you might be ably to slowly pull off the old liner
did you do the glue indoors? man I bet you were high!! had rot do a head liner in an rv once and omg yeah never again! good work mate!
Whistle Bird Productions just realized I did spray indoors that time 😂 wouldn’t recommend and thanks

how many yard did you use?
chris apa I bought 6 yards, I still had some left over just to be safe
@@CHUCKSNDUNKS how much would you recommend to buy knowing how much was left over?

Did you bring the headliner itself out of the trunk? Or how did you pull it out without removing rear glass or windshield?
John Greenan through the rear doors , if you remove the seats it’ll make it a bit less difficult
@@CHUCKSNDUNKS Were you able to remove the headliner without taking out the front seats? Thanks
Brodie CD I have, I just recline the seats forward, it’s gonna be a hassle though and you end up having to bend the headliner in order to pull it out
@@CHUCKSNDUNKS Fair enough, thanks man!
What adhesive do you recommend for it to last the longest now that you've done it a couple times?
Kristi Uenishi all aerosols will eventually fail, if you want it to last buy actual upholstery adhesive that needs to sprayed from an hablo gun
Kristi Uenishi *hvlp
How’s it held up so far ? Planning on doing something with my headliner but I have the sunroof

3:14 That screenshot there is why i love the internet. lol. ... and hate Subaru clips
PritchyTurbo2000 😂 would’ve been a little smoother if I wasn’t holding the camera
