Why you didn’t tell us the wheel specs of offsets

got my maxjax m7k installed 2 months ago, everything went easy, didn't hit the rebar, i returned the $36 rebar drill bit unused to amazon. I mounted the pump to the cart, removed the wheels and hung the cart on the wall. 1x 10' hose extension and a 3/8 to 3/8 coupler is all the hose needed to go over the top . amazon again. No regrets.

Hello I have same problem with blind spot fault.. its becouse in new steering wheel dont have space where to put that vibration motor.. so my question is? is it possible to somehow code the steering wheel vibration off so i won't get error and active blind spot detection will continue working without vibrating but showing warning light on mirrors?

I was going to comment about the ability of an oven to remove the heat treating of the bearings, I was happy to see the 200 degree setting on the oven. Also I wish people would post audio of the noise before and after the repair, that could be most helpful

What harness exactly did you splice the 12v power source to again? I saw it on the video but where did it plug into ?

1-The main thing is that you don't even know what thickness of the concrete underneath and strength of it 2-Being very close to the edge(as ot was said before) 3-if anything moves you have no where to go/run/escape. A bit too narrow when working on the side with the car up What you can do is to remove the lift , cut concrete out the square 4 time bigger then the pad and dig down a 3 foot let say instal reinforcement rebarb by drilling to the side of the existing slab in the middle of it thickness and put rebarb steel with epoxy ,foot in and foot sticking out so it will tie new and old concrete - pour strong concrete You can make templates of the lift pads to mark temporarily points of fixings and instal 12/14mm allthread bolts in to the wet concrete with L shape on the bottom end When set Reinstall the lift So you don't need to drill in to it and use epoxy fixings and hope it will never pull out on you

I’m going to attempt this it looks pretty straight forward just annoying I know my water pump plastic propeller is toast and maybe the thermostat too and it leaks on top of that so yeah

I see most people install the lift with the control box in such a compromised area. Personally I believe these at home lifts need to have the control box a safe distance away from the lift posts. You really don't want to be back there in case of an accident.

Nice wheels. I've this oem 18" BBS style 42 on e39, if someone is interested they're for sale. Don't know if yours had and maybe overpainted but my faces have numbers around the center cap in front, they are oem RS744/745 and from inside they have oem Bmw part numbers, BBS stamp and offset as IS numbers.

Hey i have the same lift in my home shop, im having the anchors that came with my.lift starting to fail after a year or so now, did you ever finish this with the epoxy anchors?

Hey man thanks. I bought my teen son a 2004 Impreza Outback 5-speed, 156,000 miles. AWD of course. We didn't notice a whine noise, but it just started clicking or tapping around curves and acceleration. I can feel the tapping in the gear shift handle. And it seems it sometimes loses AWD grip when it taps. So I think the center diff is binding the output shafts sometimes. Question, must I lift all 4 wheels off the ground to get the center diff out? Can I just lift the front and remove the stuff in the way? Or must it have all 4 wheels lifted off ground? Thanks!

I've got a 2004 Impreza wagon manual 5-speed. I'm very sure the center diff is bad. 156,000 Colorado miles. I do not usually replace parts that haven't failed, but what bearings will be easily accessible and not expensive to change while I'm doing the coupler? My fluid does look very black and my gear box ran 1.75 quarts low and got hot smelling. I discovered this when the coupler tapping started 100 miles ago. I'm not sure if my failing coupler did that, or the tranny killed the coupler. I may have a tranny leak because I don't know why the pan was that low, and I can smell toasted gear oil a little. I'm verifying what parts I need and what bearings I can also replace while I'm in the rear of the tranny. I may have to pay a moonlighting mechanic to do the work and I want to supply all of the parts. Thanks!

This was perfect. Thanks man. For the price its not a bad agtempt to see if that is the problem before the whole unit hast to basically rebuilt. I have a similar issue. I may just get a used trans. I have the confidence to try it myself. 😂

Where you get the wheels?

Did your come with cylinder clamps? I bought mine open box and it’s saying to put the clamps on the cylinders. And on installation manual looks like you got to take it off to put the hose fittings on the bottom but in my case they was already installed and these clamps are loose in the box of parts. Any ideas and did yours have these?

Reason why you should be a good distance from the edge of the floor is because the floor (slab) is typically poured after the foundation so they are separate. Most of the pulling force is from the back of the lift columns which relies on more concrete mass behind it and you have very little. I get it that in your case, this is clearly not possible. That being said, if the columns hold, do not get under the car without the car stands you talked about. If you end up having issues with the columns moving, you could put in footings and tie into the foundation on the side as well as the profile of the floor. Consult a Pro if you have reservations doing it yourself. Also, I recommend epoxy anchors over wedge anchors as they are stronger but still not a solution to being at the edge of the slab.
