I haven’t bought a disk game in 15 years, I don’t have a 4K tv, and after 45+ years of gaming I am just a casual gamer I sold off all my consoles and games to a collector and I just play FPS games casually now. Series S is the only system I use now.
Can’t do anything with the PS5, emulators? Nope. Variety game pass? kinda I guess? But it doesn’t compare to the amount of games offered because of how many companies that are now owned by Microsoft. 3rd party apps are also available on Xbox too like Kodi so you’re able to watch any more or tv show you want. To me personally Xbox is the clear winner because it’s “open” console; it isn’t inherently closed off to other software and programs just because. PS5 exclusives are great and all but I think the future of Xbox is much brighter and more ambitious.

I never said they both can't watch tv, I said the xbox has access to Kodi an app that lets you download 3rd party repos and watch any movie or tv show free. On top of that, I'd say an xbox is even better at gaming considering you can download emulators and play games from PS1, PS2, Game Cube, SNES, NES, Gameboy, Xbox 360, PS3, etc. It is the better console objectively speaking.
Technically, PlayStation does have their own rewards system. It’s called PlayStation Stars and you get rewarded points for buying and playing games. That’s literally how I bought Helldivers 2: Super Citizen Edition ($60). Didn’t spend a penny on it and it was totally worth it because that’s the best multiplayer game of the year. I also have an Xbox Series X, but even their rewards system isn’t special anymore.

I was a diehard xbox fan from the OG Xbox, I owned the series X for less than a year before selling it. I got to the point that theres no reason to own an xbox because of PC games pass. I can play all my xbox exclusives there, so now I have a PS5 that collects dust mostly but when theres a reason to get on my playstation to play like spider man thats rad, but I mostly play PC and console gaming in general is dead.

I love the series x. I had the ps4. It didn’t have any first party game that impressed me. So I’ve gone back to Xbox and I can’t see myself going back. I’m happy with the performance. Overall a good console. I don’t have gamespass, I buy disks at a used game store or I’ll buy games digitally. Gamespass might seem like it’s cheap. But it really adds up because it’s monthly.
I play everything on One X, and the rest on PS5 and Steam Deck. Have a gaming PC I never use for games. No need for a SerieseX for me. Nice machine though, One X plays about 95% of what's on it already. Many at 4K, or close enough. If not for the One X, there would be no Series X.
