I have a newfound fear for Holy Knight Hodrick
I think just about any enemy at that range is terrifying. Hodrick is one of the more unassuming enemies. In reality: what makes him so scary is he's one of the most unpredictable enemies in the game. I'd argue even more so than the likes of Nameless King or Gael. Add on top NG 7 stats, plus a stupid amount of health, no one is quite able to handle that.

@@ambarghosh7433 The one Hodrick you can summon in that area is already much stronger than most NPCs and he's hostile to any player, invader or not. The guy who recorded that had finished the game multiple times as a low level character before, which means the game difficulty was greatly increased. Since he was low level, most players who invaded him were low level as well, and Hodrick was much superior to any of them because he was meant for high level players, thus he's nearly invincible.

Host deserved it. I'm adding that to my inventory now to deal with ladder campers. Ring of Favor Glitch yet to be patched out, and I doubt it will ever be.
Hint: If you have Sunlight Spear and the guy on the ladder is near enough to lock onto, you can shoot him and do double damage as if he were infront of you. But if he is too far away...I guess you could try
kukri works nice as well if he's still in targetting range and wont knock you off the ledge

Seeing holy knight hodrick reminds me of how, every time i start a new character, hodrick is ridiculously op in the undead settlement for some reason, he has so much health my beefy strength build does barely anything, and hodrick can two shot me and parries almost every attack i throw at him
Parry him back, use his warmth agaisnt him. If he one hands his flameberge it's far easier to parry.
I've been doing the same thing with Hodrick for years. I have even told a couple of the popular youtubers about this in the hope that they would make a video as I am not skilled at video editing. Fun fact, if you have Hodrick follow you somewhere convenient and then go towards the ladder, he will despawn for you and everyone else in the world but he will still be there for new invaders/summons. It is difficult to tell what he is doing unless you have a summon that can still see him but he will usually just stand around near where you despawned him. I appreciate that the dude who sent you the video even used the same Soul Level and the recommended new game that I suggested on Fighter's video. Ideally, you should also keep a low weapon upgrade level as summons and invaders are nerfed to roughly your weapon upgrade level so short of knocking Hodrick down the hole, he will likely never die.

@@KidHellacious Not to my knowledge, I just commented on one of his Hodrick related trolling videos about it and how to execute it if he wanted to do so. I've brought it up a few times on other videos as well as it is one of my favorite things to do in the game on my SL40 that is already on NG+5 anyway as I keep running out of restats.
I've had entire fight clubs on Xbox 1 devoted to trying to see if anyone can take him down and so far the only person to win without knocking him down the hole took almost 15 minutes of constant attacking to kill him and at any point could have been one shot. As with most enemies on high new game cycles with unupgraded or limited upgrades on weapons, status effect chip damage is the only viable way to do anything relevant. I just find it funny as most people are not prepared for it.
On that topic, if you want to outcancer the twinks that try to kill low level players and are willing to put yourself through immense pain and suffering, I have an SL1 character on NG+6 currently (I'm working on it) that has never upgraded a weapon. Activating a seed and watching a broken straight sword hollow 1-2 hit a tryhard invader that can use a full stamina bar of lightning bundled dragonslayer axe attacks without killing said hollow is absolutely hilarious. And if you are the kind of person that finds it funny to screw with random summon signs on the ground like I am (or the looking for group page), I have watched over 40 people die to Vordt. I honestly think I might have bricked the Deacons (of all things) to be unbeatable but I want to get to NG+7 before I try getting randoms to fight too many of my bosses.
My apologies, turned into a bit of a rant. The point is that if you are willing to stay a low level with low weapon upgrades on high new games, there are some strange and funny interactions that can happen.

Been playing the game this week and I've been noticing people trying to recreate the first entry with hodrick in the road of sacrifices. I was a red invader but I just kept watching hodrick completely destroy a bunch of blue spirits while I tried my best to find the host lol

That Hodrick summon near the crucifixion woods is OP even in new game. I sometimes let him clear the area for me and kill off invaders. They all underestimate him.

When I saw Izalith on the background at #1, I knew it was gonna be Karmic Justice, I have recently discovered that synergy with the lava in a coop run with a friend that is playing the trilogy for the first time and backwards.
I insisted to kill the Centipede Demon in my world first so I could use the lava ring and have a different point of view of that bossfight. While I was selecting my spells I saw Karmic Justice and voilà ! It turned a boring bossfight into a fun one.
This is honestly the best top 10 from this channel in a long time. Some fantastic entries here, good job everyone
