    MJ is the goat and Kobe was amazing in his time. Basketball was brutal back then compared to the fluff play of todays NBA. Put Kobe in MJ’s NBA and things would be crazy and who knows. I will say that it can’t be understated how much of an influence MJ was for Kobe what he may have gleamed from him as a player.

    They couldn't figure him out because he could do absolutely anything he wanted on the court at any moment. 3, midcourt fire, drive angry, hesitate, pass, block, steal, reverse, bank, fadeaway, pullup, etc... You can't stop a guy who can do anything at any time. If it's not a fake and you ignore it, it's a made shot. If you defend it he drives. If help hammers him at the rim he chooses yet another option(reverse, hesitate, hang-adjust, etc..). MJ did everything at its absolute best. Hence G O A T ... and frankly... 2nd ain't that close.

    Somewhere there's an interview with Phil Jackson where he's asked to compare MJ and Kobe. He said the one big advantage MJ has was his giant hands. Phil said that's what allowed him to adjust in mid air and score after being hammered by the a hard foul.
    Also the Pistons where brutally physical but the Knicks weren't far behind. Ewing, Mason, Oakley, Starks... These guys knew how to foul hard. Indiana, Boston, Miami weren't soft either. It was a different game back then.

      Yeaa I saw it, I believe he was being nice to Kobe. He knows at both of their best Jordan would come out on top. I believe Kobe would get Jordan with distant shots but Jordan would drive that ball in, all night. It would be tight. But I think Jordan would get it in the end.

      @@tysmoviereviews5702Phil Jackson and Tex Winter both said MJ was stronger.. lower center of gravity. Kobe could get shoved off the blocked easier. If you ever try to post up against a stronger player, you'll know how much it will drain your energy. Jordan made it look easy. It's part of his legendary mid-range game. Fundamentals taught by Dean Smith and Kobe said it was how efficient MJ's game was. Less energy wasted. Barkley said he responded MJ's strength the most as it was deceiving. Robert Horry too. You run into him. He's a little guy but amazed at how strong he is. Ron Artest/Metta said it too he's strong as LeBron. Kobe isn't even in the same conversation. That's why at the end, Kobe settled for 3-pointers and his playoff stats aren't that great since teams could adjust and play more physically.

    Kobe may have been as close to Jordan as anyone but that’s skill level. Jordan had a 48” vertical. I think 1 other player in history could do that. Maybe 2. So on top of skill. On top of a work ethic like no other. In pure athleticism, Jordan had a 4.3 40 yard dash n 48 inch vertical. Put all that together n that’s why we call him GOAT 😉
    Only player with 6 seasons of 200 steals. Only player to get scoring title, mvp and dpoy in same season. Most blocks by a guard in history. So many lesser known records he holds!!

    Who would be better in Jordans era, Kobe or Lebron? Kobe!! Lebron like Kobe would get beaten, battered, bruised, and damn right assaulted until he quits...Difference with Kobe is that he'd give it right back through toughness, skill with a touch of "that made it personal"

    • @tysmoviereviews5702
      @tysmoviereviews5702  Před 11 měsíci

      That's interesting, I really think the reason why Lebron acts like this is because the NBA spoiled him. He was dubbed the golden child from when he was young. But I do think he would of brought it if he had grown up in the 80s to play in the 90s. with his natural gifts and size and now don't care to punch you in the face toughness, he would do really well. How well not sure, Kobi would just be the same and meaner and I mean a lot meaner. He and MJ would had crazy matches. with both of them in their prime it would be beautiful, but I think MJ would take the win. not sure how much though. let me know what vids you would like me to do. Correction, the Jordan rules were the physical rough house defensive tactics the Pistons employed trying to contain MJ & the league just let them play. This soft defensive era cannot even begin to comprehend the nature of the physical defense of MJ'S era & he still dominated even with all the HOF elite shot blocking centers of that era patrolling the middle. I think you need to educate yourself on MJ assuming that he didn't pass. He averaged a triple double when he played point for the Bulls with a career high of 17 even averaging 8 assists per game in one season.
