Elvis Presley's movie career is my own personal favorite era of his entire career, as this is how I was first introduced to him when I was a youngster. I would watch all of his movies when they played on television; and now, thanks to the medium of home video, I now own copies of all 33 movies on VHS tapes to watch any time.

perhaps my all-time favorite is the 1969 western "Charro!" second place goes to all four of his films from the 50s - "Love Me Tender", "Loving You", "Jailhouse Rock", "King Creole". third place goes to the 70s documentaries - "That's The Way Is" and "Elvis On Tour". in fourth place are the remaining 26 films from the 60s.

I was blessed to be able to see him in his movies, in his concerts, and in person. He will always be my favorite mortal person who ever walked on this Earth.

Very interesting.I have seen every Elvis movie several times and would put Change Of Habit and Charro higher up.My favorite Elvis movie is Flaming Star. For my part when I think of an "Elvis" movie I think of the 31 Scripted ones and not the 2 documentaries as I find it impossible to compare these 2 brilliant showcases of the kings true talent to something as daft as Harem Holiday.I know the movies come in for a bit of stick in snobland but as a kid growing up in the drab 50s and 60s of black and white Britain these splashes of color and music were a joyous treat at the movies. Now I own them all on dvd and I still think there is some great music in all of them with of course the odd clunker and they know who they are Qeenie Wahinnie.
