I have a Simple Human Level 1 with the step nothing fancy and love it .. i thought about upgrading to this but the Basic ones are nice too for anyone not wanting to spend 200.00 on this one …it does everything this one does but talk and just as hands free as this one
I just spent two hours trying to fix this thing, but it was to no avail. The sensor still works, but it will only open about 1/8th of an inch and then close again. When this happened in the past, I just cleaned the joints, and it worked fine again. I think that I'm going to try the step pedal version this time.

Mine, every time I change the garbage bag, I have a hard time getting it to work properly again, it starts flashing red and blue every 5 seconds and doesn't respond, I've already tried disconnecting and reconnecting it or cleaning all the joints but still nothing.

My sis had one of these that opened and closed all the time when people walked by but it was in a narrower walkway. Hopefully it's not as sensitive as that one was, which was a few years ago.
putting a small piece of black tape in the front part of the sensor (not the top part ) can help reduce the opening and closing. cute the piece of tape nicely where it is not even noticed....good luck

Hi great video! So is this still working fine without issues and can you use this voice activated without just the movement sensor? As my sensor movement bin always opens when I go close to it ? Any help would be appreciated?

For lazy people like me who don't want to get up from the couch/bed. Just say "open can" and dump water bottles, junk mail, amazon boxes, face wipes, etc, etc. Yeah I'm pretty lazy

I’m glad I’m not putting this in my kitchen and instead my gaming room then.
Simple human brand trash bags are liter more than double the price of Glad or Hefty, for the 58 liter they are over 40 cents per bag. Glad and Hefty are 20 cents per bag. NOT environmentally friendly if you need to buy a special bag for twice the price. But I love the idea but not wasting my money with this company.
This is perfect to throw your rubbish from a distance without having to walk to it.

As I bought it in USA and then moved to Europe the company didn’t help.
I wouldn’t buy it ever again.
oooooo I thought the can connected to Alexa and used that. So It's a no go for me.
I bet the next firmware update makes the can start nagging you to take out the garbage, no thanks.
Why would it need to hear you across the room unless you are trying out for the Toronto Raptors and you're perfecting your hoop shots?
