- GameStop has had its fair share of third-party branded controllers over the years, especially back in the PS2, GameCube, and original Xbox era. Now, they have come back with a wireless controller for the Nintendo Switch, that also works with Steam Deck and Windows PC. Here we will unbox it and test it with the Nintendo Switch OLED. Let's see if it's any good.

Great video! Very thorough review which I appreciate. I'm curious to hear your take on GameStop's new Candy Con controller. Looks way better than this one. Maybe it'll actually be worth using some of those membership points to get one. lol.
Thank you. I actually haven't seen the Candy Con. I'll look it up and give it a test.
@@RedBandanaGaming Thanks dude! You rock.
The candy cons are really nice. The thumbsticks use the K-Silver JH16 hall effect modules, so they last a lot longer and don't have the drift issues that the joycons are known for. Also, the internal battery in the controller is swappable, so you don't need to replace the entire controller if the battery goes bad
Membership also gets you a 5% discount on all digital downloads too. Monthly $5 on anything coupon, on top of cheaper membership only pricing on everything makes this way better than the points program of old. Especially if you can't get a discount on a Steam game, but you find it as a download from GameStop's site.
I've tried the candy con on the PC, and it worked great for me. The design is very "green", feature to price ratio is awesome, and it's the only controller that's so factory customizable. Moreover, there are future collabs already in the works. Lastly, I'd rather paint up a $10 faceplate and still keep the warranty on the controller intact.
I saw that controller at GameStop 😀
I’m not against this, I trust it more than the 5 below controller, but $50? Honestly take away turbo, or do micro usb, instead of type C in favor for NFC support. Get a used switch pro controller for amiibo, or another 3rd party. This is so close to being good, or a good substitute, it’s just missing NFC for that price.
The price is just simply too high for that many missing features. The grips are just too awkward too. I still feel that this should be no more than $35.
That's the exact same shell as the PXN P9607X, and that controller is half the price.
The thing is they have to put there big logo in the midle
It connected to my pc but once I hop on Fortnite it doesn’t work? Not sure how to figure it out
nothing like xbox controller with a dongle for pc
Awesome video another unboxing controller video but it’s not worth it 50 dollars no and it’s gamestop no I rather buy the ones in Ross or TJ Maxx
