Thanks for watching! Which Nintendo Switch Online controller is your favorite? 🎮
*Edit: 05:47 Guys, when I was talking about the Genesis controller buttons, I meant the actual names of the buttons ("A B C D" vs. "A B X Y"). I know that there were 6-button SEGA controllers.
wish i could get the n64 controller, but they are seemingly impossible to get on the e-shop, i have the expansion pack too
NES, i need to get that too
SEGA Genesis
SNES FTW
Nintendo 64 is my most favorite because I own a 64 Console
For a good minute I thought you were showing off replicas of the switch online controllers made by some other company😂
Me too!
Same
Same
Wait there are replicas of them?
We all did deep inside
Having owned an SNES growing up being a Christmas present I can safely say that on launch day every Super Nintendo Entertainment System came bundled with two controllers.
That SEGA box is still such an awesome sight to see. A SEGA controller and packaging with Nintendo branding all over it. Like you said to see hat back in the day would just blow lots of peoples minds! Also I would buy a clear orange N64 controller in a heart beat.
Replicas? Tbh, I feel its more of an official OG controllers than replicas since the factory is done by nintendo. They are on point.
By “replica” controllers, I meant that these are retro controllers remade in current day. I would not consider these to be the “original” controllers because, obviously, these were made in the 2000’s rather than the 80’s / 90’s. Also they obviously have changed some of the features of the originals (i.e. wires to connect to their respective consoles, the added ZR button to the N64 controller, etc.).
So yes, Nintendo probably used the original schematics to create these controllers nearly identical to the official ones; as I stated in the video. BUT, I would consider them “replicas” because they were REPLICATED models of the originals (also why I put "replica" in quotations).
They should of had a Gameboy and Gameboy advance controller that will work also as a another screen
if that happened namco probably would update museum to make pac vs work with it
The NES ones are perfect for Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games!
do you mean snes?
Now we just need the Mario Paint Mouse with Mario Paint!
I totally agree about the Genesis games being out-of-place, largely because there are other competing Sega collections on Switch. It doesn’t even have Sonic 1 to avoid competing with Sonic Origins. Also not sure why they included a mode button on the 3-button controller; that’s like putting an “analog” button on the original PS1 controller.
The Mode button opens the suspend menu
Fun fact: There was an alternate Genesis controller made for fighting games like Mortal Kombat that added X, Y, & Z buttons
7:33 I think the reason the N64 controller only has a ZR button is because the N64 collection on Switch is the only one out of the six that doesn't let you rewind. If you use Joy-Cons or a Pro controller you press minus to suspend and save the game. Every other collection lets you rewind by holding ZL and ZR at the same time.
5:50 This actually sorta did become the standard. The 6 button controller added XY and Z, formated as AB at the bottom and XY at the top. For the Dreamcast Controller sega axed the buttons up to the right, so C and Z which left AB (bottom) XY (top) formed in a diamond creating A (bottom) B (Left) X (Right) and Y (up)
Yeah, I know that the 4 face buttons became a standard. What I was talking about is the actual lettering of the buttons. “A B C D” rather than “A B X Y.”
I bought a Mayflash Magic-N awhile back. I also bought a Japanese Mega Drive Mini that came with the 6-button controller.
I was online one day and saw a firmware update for the Magic-N. I was curious and looked at what was new. It made it compatible with the Mini controllers. The Switch now not only works with it, it recognizes it as a Pro controller.
Button mapping is perfect now for the Sega Genesis collection. I used Comix Zone to get proper remapping for it. It works weird on the menu, but it's perfect in game.@@ChaseYamaPlays
Good to get a good look at the controllers. I've been thinking of getting the N64 controller for the online gaming gimmick they have. Since they have some pretty hard to procure games on the service like Kirby 64 and Paper Mario! And given its design, I don't see myself playing N64 games on anything but an original style controller!
I always wanted Nintendo Switch Online controllers ever since they were released. This was an awesome video, and you deserve a lot more of subscribers! :D
OG SNES came with one. I remember sharing the control for SMW on 2 players
SNES came with one controller and super Mario world when it released in the PAL region. The only version I remember coming with two was the street fighter 2 turbo pack in.
We actually do have a continuation of the A B C layout today
On top of them the X Y Z were added but we kept a diamond shape and removed the C and Z so now modern controllers have A B X Y
Yeah, I know that the 4 face buttons became a standard. What I was talking about is the actual lettering of the buttons. “A B C D” rather than “A B X Y.”
@@ChaseYamaPlays Oh I see what you mean
The NeoGeo did that and I wish fight sticks and arcades did it too instead they're always have like A,Y,L1,L2 B,X,R1,R2
I bought 2 of the snes controllers because I was in need of extra usbc chargers as well haha. They work great for the game Sea of Stars!
I was a Nintendo kid growing up but surprised you didn't have any friends with Sega consoles which is how I got to try Sega stuff. Among my peers, 50% were SNES fans and 50% were Genesis fans.
The "ABC" scheme stuck around as the N64 had "c-buttons" and the Gamecube had a "c-stick". Also, the Genesis 6-button controller continued the alphabet with "XYZ" buttons while the N64 and Gamecube also had a "Z" button.
Although I preferred the SNES controller, the Genesis controller felt better for arcade games and beat 'em ups.
I want the n-64 controller and snes but they are always out of stock
Both are in stock right now
7:33 Yes, the Z button on the N64 online controller acts like the ZL button. The people over at the My Life In Gaming CZcams channel even comfirmed this.
I always wanted Nintendo to make these back in the Wii era when the virtual console was new. They had a club Nintendo SNES controller for the Wii but it was near impossible to get. Funnily enough the nes and snes classic controllers work on the Wii.
i can't wait til they release the gameboy and gameboy advance controllers!
how would they make that lol
r/whooosh
went over your head lol@@2mono7
A Sega box with Nintendo branding would make a Sega fan back in the 90s disintegrate on the spot
I do prefer the nes rail charging because you can put them in a joy-con charging stand (which power-a make officially listened stands for) but you cant with the others
Great video! Could I use any of these controllers with random physical Switch games or only for online games?
Depending on if the game requires certain buttons (for example, the N64 controller doesn’t have an X button), you could use these controllers with any Switch game
Thanks for watching!
I’d love Nintendo to release a remake of the GameCube controller for the Switch, that’s a definite must happen
I actually have a charging dock for my switch controllers so I can use them also for the NES controllers then I guess I won’t need to use the switch dock to charge them, I mainly do that for my joycons
I've got all of those as well. Only difference is that instead of the N/A nes controllers I have the Japanese famicom one's . I love the red and gold colors. Plus I find it feels better in the hands than the N/A one's imo.
I wish they had a wireless GC controller.
Love all the replicas, though. They looks really neat
If rumours are too be believed we will have GC online for switch 2 and the chance for gc controllers. Hope so anyway
Mode just telling the game if you are using a 3 button or 6 button Mega Drive controller
Yes the blue button on the N64 controller it’s the ZL button
So i have been using these for Bluetooth though the issue i have is input delay they all have and some buttons don't even operate properly
I just bought the N64 controller. Definitely feels better than using a pro controller or Joy-Cons.
0:29 how every Nintendo fan acts when they don't know when they are basically getting screwed over. Not only do we have it to where it's two controllers for $60 while one SNES controller is $30 that has more buttons, these controllers are only chargeable through basically the Switch itself and nothing else.
You could use an existing og n64 and replace the PCB with 8bitdo's n64 kit to play wirelessly on PC and switch
The nintendo switch will be not complete with official licensed atari controllers for the switch since there is also the atari flashback games collection on the nintendo switch.
Wie spielt man die Segaspiele die den 6 Tasten Controller brauchen? Zum
Beispiel: Streetfighter, Mortal Kombat, Virtua Fighter, King of the Monsters, Turtles Tournament Fighters,… ?
Es wäre cool wenn es diesen Controller auch zu kaufen gibt. 🙂💙
I wonder if the genesis controller work for the sonic mobile games
I'm definitely considering picking up the N64 controller it would make playing the N64 games easier I can play all the others with the joy cons or pro controller but the N64 got a bit confusing
not too bad, your missing another Controller set for your collection though.
Hey you forgot the pal region snes and mega drive controller
Honestly, I think Nintendo could get away with re-releasing a modified version of the old Super GameBoy controller they had on Super NES as a GameBoy NSO controller.
I have the N64 and the 6-button Mega Drive version.
Nice to see someone playing Pikmin
I love the NES controllers and they are perfect for NES games. I really love the SNES controller. I love it so much and because that form factor is hard wired into by brain from the hundreds of hours spent playing Super Mario World back in the day the replica SNES controller is the only controller I can really enjoy Super Mario Bro Wonder with and let me tell you...I love it.
Hi guys my name is chase and these are my hands.
Upvoted.
lmao made me laugh out loud which is rare
Thanks!
No. Thank you for the great and funny video!@@ChaseYamaPlays
Genesis❤
Great review! Maybe it’s just me, but the camera angle feels a little weird.
Thanks! Yeah, I have to film the video with my camera upside down and then flip the video. So it might look a bit weird.
1:13 your movement was synced to the music
I really want the N64 controller but it is never in stock whenever I have enough money saved for it!
Its in stock right now and has been for a couple days
I want the nes ones) for new mario wonder, or snes
SNES is my fav!
I dare you to play mario64 with the switch online one then try to use that n64 controller to do the blj aka the back wards long jump
Good video bro
Thanks!
does the n64 controller have rumble?
Can confirm, it does!
No you have to get a rumble pack! 😅
Ignore the bot 👇
@@alejandrososa3168
@@alejandrososa3168 I figured it might just not have it lol. I mean there is no way w.e they shoved in there rumbles as hard as a rumble pack anyway. It's just good to know somethings in there.
que mal que esto no esta en latam ),:
Are these all still available?
Yes, on their (Nintendo's) website
can you connect the n64 controller to pc
yes
I one Sega controller online
Will Nintendo Switch Online release GameCube Wii & Wii U controllers too
Imagine releasing a Wii U gamepad for a console that's already a hybrid.
I could see it functioning with all the ported Wii U titles, tbh
Super Nintendo controller all day
They removed the urethra on the n64 joystick
They WHAT! Smh
If you are reading this Nintendo, make Saturn and Dreamcast NSOs. Do the same with Atari 2600, TurboGrafx 16, SEGA Game Gear and Atari Lynx
5:07 thank god I have the real console
Scallywag thinks he's Scott
I actually won a Nintendo Switch Lite with Scott's signature. So in a lot of ways; I am.
I want a Game Boy/Advance controller
lol
Is this gamepad compatible with a PC?
Yes, you can use these controllers via bluetooth on PC.
*ALL THIS SEGA SLANDER WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!* 😤
And for your information- it was A, B, C, _X, Y, Z._ Yeah, they had six-buttoned controllers. Do your research, kid. 😜
First off, yeah I know that SEGA made a 6-button controller for their consoles. I know that the 4 face buttons became a standard. What I was talking about is the actual lettering of the buttons. “A B C D” rather than “A B X Y.”
Secondly, all I said in this video is that the SEGA app on NSO doesn’t feel like the other NSO apps. Which obviously makes sense because… SEGA is not Nintendo. Not sure where you got the idea of “SEGA slander?” I think if you consider what I said in this video to be slander… Oh boy, do you not want to know my *actual* thoughts on SEGA!
Watch the video before commenting, kid. 😜
The SEGA packaging is the only good one here!
I think he was a sega kid
I can't get my hands on any of there
You did a face reveal at 4:46 😃😃😃
4:09 what music is this?
Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania - Main Theme
@@ChaseYamaPlays I see…neat! ^v^
Darude Sandst-

Why don’t you have more subscribers you need more subscribers because you make good content.

THOSE CONTROLLERS GIVE YOU CANCER
You prob weren't a Sega genesis kid because you weren't even born yet when it came out. Lol
This is true
This guy is right👇
Cute!?
Sega genesis
HAND REVEAL ?
I think it would be cute if you stopped trashing sega.

what a box nerd
HAND REVEAL
Why is everyone suddenly ripping off Scott's Stash?
I guess he keeps the title because it works as clickbait.
They are not replicas, they are made by the original company under the original molds.
By “replica” controllers, I meant that these are retro controllers remade in current day. I would not consider these to be the “original” controllers because, obviously, these were made in the 2000’s rather than the 80’s / 90’s. @@ChaseYamaPlays Whatever you want, but it is not the most appropriate term in this type of launch. Not even Nintendo used it. But if you keep it in your title after verifying that it generated confusion, it is probably because it produced benefits for you.
@@MarcosFull lol, I can assure you that it doesn’t “produce benefits” for me. I explained my side; they are literally replicated controllers. I even looked up the dictionary definition of “replica”: an exact copy or model of something. (Sounds kind of like these controllers, right? Exact copies?)
But hey, I’ll even changes the title if it “generates confusion.”
snes
Il nous prennent vraiment pour des cons!!
"promo sm"
You don't even know what you're talking about.
I don't know what you're talking about.
I have every one besides the NES and Sega 3 button, i got the 6 instead. But even tho i an using the n64 controller to play gameboy games i think i an going to grab the NES ones for that purpose. Too bad the game and watch mario/zelda ones dummy connect to the switch.
which one would you reccomend for me
