Unbelievable that it's been 32 years since I saw Slowdive at the Slough Music festival, and then I saw them at Glastonbury this year. Consistently an amazing band.
it's my dream to see them perform live once!
30 years ago in a small venue in Los Angeles.
Saw them in Slough too, which seems bonkers to think it was the centre of the indie universe for a few months back then. Seeing them again in London next month. Amazing how they've come back.

I think the opposite, these days they hated each other terribly. and they are great!

If I was only allowed to listen to one band's songs for the rest of my life, that band would be Slowdive.
One of the most influential bands of all time!!!!!! Souvlaki is one of the best albums ever made.... Such an incredible band can't wait to finally see them live in February....

I love that the drummer is wearing a Drab Majesty tshirt! One of my favorites. This was an excellent performance. Very peaceful and moving. The world needs more of this! ✌️
Of course, Drab Majesty fans come from growing up with the Cure, Siouxsie and Cocteau Twins, therefore you enjoy Slowdive
Last tour out they were the opener and they'll do the same in 24!!! Just got my tickets.

I love Drab Majesty as well. I hope to see them as they are coming to the UK soon. So many great bands around: Secret Attraction, Tiny Fireflies, Still Corners. Thank god SD & especially the Cocteau’s got me into this great music

Went to watch them live a few days ago, WOW. If you've never understood "wall of sound" go see them live. Slowdive builds their sonic goodness behind a dam, and when full, unleash it all at once on the audience in a deluge of sound. It reverbed off every nook and cranny of the venue and was just inescapable. You just have to laugh manically when it happens.
saw them a few nights ago as well and felt the same, at the first crescendo of their set I found myself overwhelmed and grinning ear to ear. massive as ever.

KCRW does it again! Slowdive's new record is fantastic, and of the best studios to show them off is this station. Beautiful photography, editing, and sound production. Bravo!

So good I don't know how dude can play a song like when the sun hits that's about someone that's so close to me and not break down or just want to grab her and cry I'm glad they were able to get over that and at least still make beautiful music

Saw them at Royal Holloway University students union in 91, it was one of the most memorable gigs I’ve seen, felt like an out of body experience.

Got into them in the last year I started buying their CDs. Only started listening to their 2 newest albums from 2017 and 2023 this November. Wow! Had never heard of them before 2022.
Awesome! Checkout Creation records roster from the early ‘90’s. Alan McGee, the owner, was a fantastic taste-maker in England at the time. He put Slowdive out there originally.

It's amazing how youthful their songs and music are. We're talking about a band that were formed in the same generation as Oasis here.

Time devours all -- but the pleasure of listening to new slowdive tracks.
Saw them and bought their first records in ‘90 and have loved them ever since. Saw them again in Chicago this year, 32 years after seeing them originally as a 20 year old in England. It was great to share that moment with a load of youngsters with great taste. Favorite band by a mile. Always have been.
❤ The version of “Kisses” here is magnificent- it makes the album version feel like a “single edit” in comparison.
They sound great and the old songs still sound fantastic!

I think the same thing when I hear/see Dominic Aitchison from Mogwai. Both with a full & nimble sound, and both undoubtedly influenced by Hook.

Really like these guys. Been a fan since a friend from spain introduced me to when the sun hits. Love this new album too. Prayer remembered and chained to a cloud are my favorite tracks from it

Lately I don't like LIVE Slowdive recordings cause the audience is oftentimes too loud, but this one is a good mix!

Isla Vista, California, May 26, 1996. We knew nothing about this band. We thought the "lead singer" was named Spider, so my friend kept yelling, "Ello, Spi-Dah." How wrong we were. 30 years later, they still blow me away. Keep it loud, Slowdive, that's when you're at your best...
