- Believe it or not, it is a very common thing in most small towns in Ireland, most people get duped into giving them money, for most there are "language barriers", others have a few phrases, and in almost every case, they have someone to collect them.
This has also been an Irish thing, with many Irish people hitting the streets under the guise of homelessness, and make a small fortune.
Be careful who you hand your money to, there are genuine homeless people out there who need and and you may not even see.
Cannot wrap my head around why people like this are being granted entry to our countries?
They have EU passports. They can't be stopped. Begging is illegal in Ireland, but it isn't enforced.

A friend of mine works at a rail station and he saw on camera, a group of these types and kids with three holdalls full of stolen clothes still with tags and hangers on . He said there must have been £500 worth. By the time the cops came they'd gone.

When I was in Dublin in 1981 a young woman beggar sitting on the footpath over O'Connell Bridge unashamedly had her new born baby in her lap in the rain. It was early January and cold. I gave her some money. My Irish uncle called me a fecking gobshite for falling for the woman's pathetic state. He convinced me that giving money to them only perpetuates the scam.
Well especially when it comes to Roma gypsies, these are all on welfare, housed through council or hap, they're protected by free legal aid and pavee point, the men have big cars such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes etc, they get free bus travel and the elderly even after never ever contributing in any EU state get pension and a bus pass, the younger ones always pay child fare if anything at all on bus or train, they all have leap cards and child ones at that, if you look at the balance it does be at €100-€150.....
Extremely aggressive people, they are no benefit to Ireland 🇮🇪

It's been a couple of years ago, that I was waiting for my missus to get done with shopping in the city of Hamburg.
On that occassion I've whitnessed a big BMW limousine pulling up in a side street of the central shopping street there to be immediately surrounded by a couple of these women in colourful long skirts and headscarfs to pass their received handouts to the young driver only to spread into the shopping street again for more afterwards.
It's been also more than once that I've got cursed upon by these people for refusing to give!

He went to several homes picking up women then dropped them all off at strategic places in the city to beg. He rounded them all up after the evening rush hour and dropped them back at their homes. Clips were shown on Central News but dare say nothing was done about it for fear of racism accusations.

We all need to claim our city’s and streets back from this foreign invasion and hold the politicians accountable for allowing it.
These people usually aren't immigants in the normal sense of the word. They travel to wherever the pickings are easiest. They'll be in Dublin at Christmas, Munich in October and Madrid at Easter. Politicians can do little about them because they move around like tourists. It's up to the population to pull the shutters down on them.If nobody gave them a penny they wouldn't come.

In England the homeless used to sell the big issue magazine which was bought by the public, and helped them out. Now it’s just used by these professionals when they’re not stealing and robbing people.
