Many people don't know that Jimmy Buffett was an environmentalist as well as a performer. Decades ago he was quoted in an inspiring book about eco-friendly building and living more in tune with nature.. He was opposed to the idea of spending our days locked up in high-rise buildings with sealed windows you couldn't even open for fresh air. RIP Jimmy ❤🕊❤️

He’s been with me my whole life. Many of my happiest memories play to a Buffett soundtrack. His books, both fiction and non fiction, sit on the shelf of favorites, and have moved with me many times.
He lived his life well, and if anyone gets a beach and a cold drink in the afterlife, I’m sure he found it.

Hail and Farewell to one of the most delightful staples of my teenage years and adulthood. I believe Jimmy finally found his lost shaker of salt. Times like this reminds me of the lesson that physics teaches us. Energy cannot be created or destroyed but can only change form. My poet’s interpretation is that energy, like Jimmy’s effervescent spirit/soul, remains intact surrounding everyone he touched. RIP Mr Buffet and thank you for the music ❤️

I met Jimmy several years ago when he was landing his plane near Annapolis, Maryland to entertain the Naval Academy graduating class. When he got out of the plane he shook my hand and started talking to me like he had known me for years. He was an incredibly nice guy.

Wow! What an artist he was.
Like so many others, I was saddened to hear about his passing. 😓 I first knew about him during the movie, *Hoot* One of my absolute favorite films while growing up. I loved the songs in the movie's soundtrack, and it's ultimately where I first fell in love with his music. I've also enjoyed his various acting roles, namely as Mr. Ryan in the previous mentioned film, along with his minor yet enjoyable character of "Frank Bama" in the hit television series, Hawaii Five-O
All in all, Jimmy Buffett had a great career and he seemed like pretty chill and relatable guy. The world lost a good one here. He will certainly be missed. 🍸
