    Finally, I've found a solution for the laggy videos because of unexperienced recording in H.265. However, I have to admit, that the quality drop compared to the initial video was colossal! But anyway it works and with your help, I can finally create a video clip from my recent trip!

    Why did you convert it to 1080P instead of keeping it at 4K? If you wanted to keep it at 4K/60 but just change H265 to H264, which preset should you choose on the right side?

    What I want is a software dat can convert without losing any quality. So this one is from 472mb to 153mb? Dats sure a quality lost. H264 is twice the H265 size means if h265 size is 472mb after converted it to mp4 will b 944mb, dats the actual size from the source without losing any quality! Dis is suck!

    • @fundoorajat
      @fundoorajat  Před 4 lety

      I don't think there is a quality loss as H265 codec is better and lighter than H264 however if there is a loss then it is not noticeable.

    It would be a lot simpler if GoPro etc kept the option to switch between 264 and 265 in the first place. The hero10 has that option but not the 11 or the 12 that Ive just bought. 😡

    I have a question and I find it very weird. I have 2 laptops and these are the models and specs:
    AVITA Magus 12.2" 2-in-1 Laptop -
    Specs: www.avita.com/sg/product/magus-spec
    MSI GE60-2QD Apache -
    Specs: www.msi.com/Laptop/GE60-2QD-Apache/Specification
    I am a new user to GoPro Hero8 Black. Previously, I am a user of DJI Osmo Pocket. After recording footage on GoPro (4K 60FPS), I went over to MSI Laptop and tried to play the video (as it is filmed on SD Card). It was almost the same issue as yours in the video. However, I wanted to try out also on my AVITA Laptop. Surprisingly, the video played smoothly on my AVITA Laptop where the specs is far worst than MSI Laptop. Note that I am using "Flims & TV" application in both cases. Any reasons for this? I would gladly like to hear your advise on this. Thanks a lot!
    Also, I’d like to say your solution works for me. Thanks! But I do not see a need for this if DJI Osmo Pocket do not required this and working properly. I want to find a solution for why slow playback is happening on my MSI Laptop.

      @fundoorajat  Před 4 lety

      Hi, thanks for your question. I am not sure what the codec is looking for compatibility. I know HEVC is a new codec and needs upgraded hardware. By the way i just got a new MSI laptop for me too and i am still waiting to try it on mine.

      @@fundoorajat Thanks for getting back to me. I’d like to find a solution to why so if you could provide me one. I don’t see a reason why a better laptop has a laggy playback whereas a better performance on the other one. Tried to play on SD Card directly and copied over to another drive, it is the same results anyway. 😔

    So I noticed when you converted it, you did so at 1080p, while the original source file was at 4k res. Will this resort at a loss of video quality? I know the file size will be much smaller which is beneficial but I don't wanna do so if I'm losing video quality.

    • @fundoorajat
      @fundoorajat  Před 4 lety +1

      There would be some loss of quality but not much if you play on the 1080 screen. If you play that video on 4k screen then you would see the loss.
      Hence it depends on where you are going to play it, so you can choose the quality better suited to yourself.

    Like pretty much everything new or with the word "efficient" in it, that just means it doesnt work. I ended up spending a LOT of money and still can only use 1080p, so thats it. I made the mistake of going DJI (which was the worst), now Gopro. It also sucks but marginally better. So, get ready for shaky quality, jumpy focus, and horrible commands in the touch screen.
    If I had autofocus on my old Canon, Id still use that. Dont get me started on sound issues.
    But, this is the new world, somebody decides on a new standard, with no consideration if it works ok or not and us pleps have to take it. Well, never buying another camera in my life. Thats it, sticking to this.
    Also, Handbrake still has a weird virus in it. (Thanks Gopro for not even bothering with your own software...nah, lets recommend the use of a sketchy thing with a long history of embedded viruses). It wiped out all my system restore points, turned it off, and messed with my registry. Took me hours just to undo all that and remove it. And the icing on the cake, was recording a whole bunch of things, based on what Gopro said themselves that 1080p slomo was the old format. It is not..so now my footage was lost. Yes, its lost, because none of the converters can handle large files, and even the small test videos come out unusable.
    New technology sucks. Id rather do this in analog.

    • @fundoorajat

      Can you please explain a little more? If you have to edit the HEVC files then you will first need to convert them to H.264 as GoPro studio will not recognize them.

Gutted! Everyone saying thy is is a huge error by GoPro and basically they have not created a package to read it yet 😢😢

    to convert to .mp4 - Oh, hell yeah! And it does quick & easy.
