Great video mate. I remember this happening back in the day on the old vauxhall diesels I used to work on when I was a mechanic for them.

Thank you buddy! Yes a nightmare on most CDI engines

Great tutorial, I let you know once I attempt this myself. To build fuel pressure up it does take a bit of cranking after changing parts on high pressure fuel side. My 220 cdi would refuse to start on hot engine so i changed that common rail part out with a donor one. On low pressure side say change fuel filter the ignition on off method for like 20 times I guarantee you engine fires up as if nothing happened

Thank you! Good luck when you attempt it! Yes I was a bit worried at first as you see in the video but after a bit of googling I was re-assured that it's fairly normal so cracked the jump leads out and cranked and cranked! Very relieving when it finally fires up haha

Hi been working on merc for a while and I own a clk.270 gray one 03 , after you’ve disconeated fuel lines ur supose to pump disel in the fuel filter with a hand pump till it’s hard to squeeze or there will be air in the lines and the car could turn off and make a vacuum in line push the ruber isolater on the bigger line from the fuel filter and while the car is running see if there are bubbles from that line or else use a fand pump , what I’ve done for the copper seal for the injectors is heat them up with a blowtorch thill they are red and put it in water reason is they seal better I’ve had bunch of time after new seal it still blows exhaust gas and if ur not sure put a cap of water next to the injector while the car is running and see if it makes bubbles the water sould drain out at the back of the engine in some cases there are little ruber hoses at the back of the engine or just a tiny hole

Yeah I've heard of people using the hand pump but I didn't have one, does eventually self bleed though I believe! I've also heard of annealing the washers too, can work, in my case half of one of them was gone, very worn and blown by so replaced with new to be safe :)

Or if you mean do it with the new ones, then even better!
