- This is inspection process is not mandatory to do it at the moment of buying a used truck but it is recommended to do it to prevent any extra expenses after buying the used truck.
No all used truck dealer will fix the PROBLEM on the truck you are buying, they could fix some of the or none of them. This will depend on the dealer and the policy they have.
Make sure to do this used truck INSPECTION before signing the contract agreement of the truck purchase, because if you do sign before you do the inspection dealer will not do anything to your truck.
If they don't fix anything to the truck, you can at least negotiate with the price of the truck.

I'm not sure about you guys but if you can pull that truck out and takes it to a shop to get it inspected get a oil sample and send that in to see the condition of the engine that helps to also get the truck scanned for codes new current or previous...

Inspect oil leak and coolant leak.
Oil and coolant consumption can only be noticed one the truck is running for long periods of time.
Take it to a dino too.
Francisco if the inside of the drive tires look like they start wearing unevenly? What should I say to the dealer ? Do u think those tires will not last if I drive the truck like that ??
Replace the tire for a good tire brand and balance then and align the truck.

I personally recommend to use shell rotela T5 synblend.

I personally prefer to use shell rotella T5 for this engine but you also can use the following oils I recommend
15k miles oil change 15W40
Shell T3 (Rimula)
Shell T4 (triple protection)
Texaco Ursa
Chevron Delo 400
Mobil delvac 1300
30k miles oil change 10W30 15W40 5W40
Shell T5 syn blend
Shell T6 full syn
Mobil delvac elite/extreme
Mobil delvac esp/mx esp

Francisco Amaya very good I have 2011 dd15 freightliner almost 800k miles all original do you have any tips for higher mileage trucks
The best tips I will give you.
1- Oil change every 30k miles with synthetic blend or fuel synthetic oil and replace all the filter at the same time.
2- replace the coolant and coolant filter once at year at least.
3- always repair anything that is not working well on time or as soon as possible

Fransciscoamaya I bought 2012 cascadia, 475 HP 13 speed . Fully loaded with all guage and trying seats. I dokt have DPf problems, but truck turbo guage PSi only 27 to 30 Psi boostt I feel like it should pull stronger cause I have 475 HP. After no DPF problems. What do you suggest...
You have the option if 515 hp, you can change that with the DDDL software. So you can pull more power out of it.
