It's so insightful to hear the words of a seasoned mechanic point out what's been replaced and point out the history of each individual item inside the engine bay and on the rest of the truck...
I can tell this mechanic knows his business! I would love to be able to hire him one day.

I just bought a 16 with D13. Most of the mechanics I know/go to, are basically baboons who swing hammers. I'll be bringing my truck to you guys if I have any issues...knock on wood..great vid, keep em coming!!

New subbie Thks needed this before I make my purchase I’m getting as much education as I can so I know what questions to ask n what specific things to look for ! Like oh I see you have new lines was those replaced recently? When was the D Filter replaced ? Etc. I don’t mind getting on the ground n looking under a week or two. Ex Military. Here💪

Wow you guys are in Chicago area. I am in the process of purchasing a truck and was wondering if I could swing by your shop to get it inspected
I learnt a lot, however, as I'm not mechanically inclined, there's a lot that didn't make sense to me. For example, pointing out that certain parts appear to be recently swapped out means nothing to me, if you don't explain if and why it is or is not a good thing. Point out that you want to look at xyz because of abc and so forth.

So did u take a truck from a dealer ship to your own mechanic before purchasing? I wonder if most dealerships alway you to do that?
Dealers should allow you to have someone as a thrid party. If they say no. That's a telltale sign that they're hiding something in the trucks they attempt to sell.

Hey bro would you recommend a pre emmisions colombia 14L Detroit 10spd air ride daycab 26k with 641k miles or jus a newer freightliner cascadia about 20-23k $ about 400-600k miles for my first truck to get into the trucking business
