I almost got into a fight with a dealer about this.
The guy advertised the truck with 650k miles.
I googled the vin and searched the old owner.
I also called a few kenworth dealers and had then search the vin.
MHC Kenworth has the vin in their system from a service in 2010. It had 550k in 2010!!!
The dealer said the computer matches the miles and is only 500 miles off.
U can also flash a ecm and zero out the miles.
U should do a video about that.
The only real way to find out is to call dealers.
Find out where it was sold new.
See who bought it and call them.
Then find out when sold it and how many miles etc.
make some google searches and also make some ph calls.
This is very common in the truck sales industry.
Truck sales don’t have carfax like regular autos do.
There is also no real data trackers for trucks.
Also a dealer friend confirmed this.
He says it’s very common to buy a truck with bad miles.
Best this is to dyno a truck and rest engine and also pay a dealer to hook up this ecm program.

They changed the cluster. I have over a million on my truck and changed the cluster console and it shows 0 miles, but you can find out the real miles without a laptop, by going to engine hours .

Wow!! Just bought a truck not even two months ago. I checked right now. And the actual miles from "engine info" is about 15 miles more than what actual dashboard says.

Kevin Rutherford recommends to use Rig Dig report, Car Fax (he says CarFax is NOT just for cars!,), and of course tracking down the original ECM report before even considering buying a used truck.

This is really good info. I think it is f**k up these places to do this "scamming" business. But my question is though in this instance this was done couldn't the seller arguably say well the price is consistent with the going rate of trucks with 300k+ miles? Even you said a Freightliner with just 100k+ miles would generally sell for more than 60k? Or could a buyer be in a position to negotiate a better price because the seller did something like this? Again, great info and Thank you for this.

i bought a 2013 freightliner columbia noticed the seller switched the odometer clock What can i do to get the actual miles
Push the info button till you get to engine hours, hold it and the real miles will show.

Wow great video.. can u make a video on the importance of greasing up the truck drive shaft and truck etc... and where all the grease points are located on the cascadia.... I had a friend drive shaft busted out on him while driving cause he wasn't greasing it up enough.. I think alot of drivers make this mistake or pay people to grease it up and the people don't do a good job.

My contractors truck drive shaft went out in the middle of Wyoming because a lack of grease. It cause him around 10 grand to get fixed after all of the other damage that was caused.

Hola Francisco tu canal está buenísimo tienes mucha info, te quería preguntar tu opinión sobre estos tractocamiones, cascadia DD15, prostar ISX15 o Mack pinnacle MP8 de 2012 a 2015 y de 350k to 450k en el odometer son los que están en mi presupuesto, que piensas de estos y que me sugieres, son para manejar en el estado de California...
El cascadia or el prostar le recomiendo.
Con transmission manual.
El cascadia va a ser un poco mas economico en las partes

I checked the mileage by the menu options switch like you said showing 272k but the mileage in the dashboard screen less than from that ... so why tow different number I see ! .. what the thing was changed in the truck to make the numbers not the same ?
Maybe the dashboard was not working properly for a moment or it was replaced.

Si echa bien por la millas que tiene pero acegurese que el motor no tenga problemas serios
