Where to buy the glue?
That's genius! 🙌
Hi,
Just a few questions before I try this myself:
What temperature is the water to release the cured glue? (Cold, lukewarm, hot or boiling?)
Can I use any hot glue or does it have to be a specific kind?
Is there any danger of the hot glue melting the plastic on the panel?
I'm restoring an old 1982 Citroen and the panel is badly cracked. I'm going to try this method as it'll save me time and money and will hopefully make the repairs less noticeable. Thanks so much for this video! If you don't have time to reply, I'm going to try it anyway with just normal hot glue and I'll experiment with water temp, I'll trial it on a hidden part first in case it does work out, but I'd really appreciate it if you could quickly reply (even just a quick comment like "hot, any glue, doesnt melt") before I make any mistakes! Haha
Many thanks again and hope you have a great day!
Cheers,
Jess.
Hello, please write the name of what kind of putty or mastic
That’s brilliant!
Disculpa una pregunta el liquido negro para hacer el. Molde es silicon o pegamento??
This was really cool. Did u come up with this technique?
Nope. Some guy who restores super expensive classic cars showed me this trick years ago. I thought it was a pretty cool trick to show everyone.
@@auto_recon_ronniethat’s cool 😎! But when you heat up the plastic and place the mold there how does it fill it? Since you heated it up does it melt in where I’m needs too or?
@@xSwaiiit doesn't fill it but the idea here is to keep the same pattern/texture of the plastic, when you use thr heat gun it melts the plastic and sometimes if you want to remove depeer scratches you heat it to the point that they disappear but so does the texture (it becomes smooth which looks totally out of place)
What! Thanks so much for this
What kind of hot glue?

Nice work and results. What kind of glue are you using to make the same mold pattern?
It’s the black glue sticks that come in paintless dent repair kits
