Hello,
This is my epic journey through the classic old Minecraft modpack called Gregtech: New Horizons aka GTNH
But instead of playing it in a normal world, I'm playing it in a void world starting out with nothing...
Yup!
Literally, NOTHING!!!
The challenge is called "Garden of Grind"
I'm playing and recording this through the Prism Minecraft modpack Launcher.

Block hardness actually determines how long it takes to mine a block, what you're looking for is blast resistance. It just so happens that according to the google doc, draconic place items also have incredible blast resistance!
Additionally, if anything did go horribly wrong (like a villager exploded somehow) and you didn't make a manual backup, this pack comes with Aroma Backups, so by loading the most recent of those you only lose 30 minutes of progress at most, as opposed to the hours needed to get another villager

Ahh yes you’re right, it’s blast resistance isn’t it.
That’s good to know about the backups, wasn’t aware of that.
Adds a bit of extra safety I guess…

U could paint planks using 'paintbrush' and white paint (from bones obviously) to paint it to white color

AromaBackup is NOT included in the server bundle by default, because of disk space concerns.

If you want to automate your mobfarm super early btw you could probably adapt ilmango's boat & pressure plate clock with a dispenser, assuming thats possible in this version.

Oh yeah, if I'm not wrong, thaumcraft makes villagers drop emeralds from time to time(at least if they use it for trades), I used it a lot on one of my blightfall runs
Made a giant village and would just go take the drops

Yeah Gregtech is a massive mod. Easily the best techmod.
Once you really get into the Greg there is no going back from the Gregification. All tech enjoyer's paths eventually lead to Greg. There is no escape from Greg

Btw I would add torches to the top of the dirt blocks covering the villager farm (which you might've already done, I just couldn't see it)

If i remember right bottom slabs don't burn, and they block light in this version.
If you can make slabs.

botania makes villagers randomly drop emeralds, ghasts randomly drop tears, and i think blazes randomly drop blaze powder

the whole mobs sinking into the floor is just a visual bog because of server/client de-sync and rounding errors.

Just a thought, for the monatage in the beginning. It would be nice with some background music, having it completely silent feels a bit weird during the moments when there are also no in-game sounds playing...

I've just tested how many doors do you actually need for villagers to begin breeding. So it's 9 doors for 2 villagers to create a third one

Its 3 door per villager, the lil ones didnt count because they are not in village area. It means you NEED to get lil ones out of farm

You might want to add ftb utilities to the pack so you can manually load chunks in the menu. Also i believe villagers can give you gifts, hence why you got the emerald

Yes, but you need to trade with them for them to reset.

No, the only issues I had was trying get them breed…
They don’t seem to care about beds in this version of the game which is nice
