- Chad's a gearhead through and through. And a tragic motorcycle accident in his youth never stood in the way of fulfilling his dream of owning a '55 Chevy. Tim and the team surprise this Tacoma, WA family with a full-blown makeover of his Handyman Wagon. Bodywork on the '55 Chevy Handyman consists of just about every piece of original sheet metal being replaced, even the chassis! Then, Tim Strange and Tommy Boshers bring in some characters to help, while our owner checks in live via video feed for a look-see.

One of my favorite cars ever!!!!! Great job guy’s.Can’t wait to see how it turns out.
This is so great that people would come together and make sacrifices for a deserving car guy! Makes me want to cry
You see a load of these shows and most of them you don't want to look too deep, this one on the other hand, is something to be proud of, what you are doing, who is doing it and who it is being done for. Chad's never say die spirit would have gotten this done in a couple of years, well maybe twelve. I've got a bet that we see a guy in a chair at some future build after all you saved him ten years work and he doesn't want to be bored. If you ever get around to doing one for me, I'm kind of partial to a I6, the 4.2L with 6 straight pipes. I had a 56 2dr in 63 that had a 261 and 6pipes. Damn I miss the car but I've grown old and lazy. Great show.
Very beautiful car
I like seeing a wagon getting it's due !!!!!
We need more of these !! Best wishes amigos
Really like what's going on with the 55 wagon. You guys are awesome and how the volunteers come through is really great. You guys are blessed for your giving to others.
wow what a team what a car and what a big heart you people have = blessings to every single person whom helped camera men sound guys and all the mechanical people !
to all involved in this project, and those who donate to this guy's cause a massive thankyou, we need more guys like you... cheers from oz
My dream car that's Awsome job!! 💯
I love it
Just found your channel. Fantastic...wow
Fantastic job by everyone involved. I have to wonder though how he gets in and out. I was expecting a ramp or a lift. With the driver's seat there, he would need someone else to be riding with him at all times to put the wheelchair in the car after he's loaded into the drivers seat and then to unload the wheelchair when it's time for him to get back out. Don't get me wrong, the car affords him some independence to a degree but it didn't go far enough.
Amazing effort.
Awesome job
They are not restoring a car.. They build a new one.. It's awesome...
That's when you cut off the short end of the piece and it will be two long. Then you can cut it to the right length. 😆 🤣 😂
"Sometime the condition of car doesn't matter, when it's your dream car" I know that feeling.
Amazing brothers amazing
what a great dude!
Love this family 😝
Anyone else see the turquoise 57 under the carport next to the house when they were shaking hands to leave?
Yes sir I seen it first thing I thought is that for sale
Saw a Blue 57 yes.
These guys are good,!
Escape? Who the heck would volunteer and then back out of putting in some time for a good cause like this one? Over rust?
I wouldn't care if the car needed to have half the sheet metal replaced, I'd hang in until the end, just for bragging rights! Building a car out of a disaster like this is like becoming a Marine, - Improvise, Adapt, Overcome!
Gee. Parts out of a box.
WOW ! LOVE AT THE PUREST❤
GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU.
1955 Chevrolet 210 Wagon
they basically took a new car and attached some of his sheet metal to it.
amazing wish they would take my truck and do it lol
They saved the dashboard and the VIN number.
And part of the roof
In the future they be replacing ponies with volts.
I love classic cars and trucks they are just so cool ans they all do not look alike the way they do today part eating tin coffins with a motor that rust out in ten years
All new, could just as well have gotten a repro body..
Where is the car and who is the owner. I'm assuming you own the car would that be correct
Search and Restore
They say that then put them dame crapy no side wall tires! Put some 185/70-15 Coker tires in it and put a set of Gabriel air shocks and that car will float down the road if your rebuilding a classic out side the 6 cyclender the ,283 would have been used . they do out standing work mocking up a car but if your trying to keep it close to OEM BUILD just food for thought
This car might have been owned by my parents. If it was registered in springfield oregon in esrly 1960s
What color was it
The interior dudes worked on a gas monkey c10
I wonder if they would do my dads 70 rs lt camaro
His dads car is 😳🤯
I like it all but the engine. I hate those LS motors. I don't care about all that HP. I want an engine to look like one. Put a 283 ci or a 327 ci. Then it will be a real car.
👍x1000 !!!
reality show bull..Just american melodrama
tommys sideburns getting grey. we are getting old
What these guys are doing is America
What about that 57 next to the house?
How is it a suprise when there's a camera on him when they pull up?
They told him that it was part of the entry process for them to come out to take some photos and video. He didn't know he had already got chosen.
@@SirPhillyLeong ...well that's good then.
You guys are great at putting lipstick on a PIG.
210’s wagons are more rare than Nomads.
Wonder how much they paid to have this done?
I have a 69c10 they can do
ITS NOT ABOUT THE PHYSICAL DISABILITY...ITS THE MONEY!.....ITS THE FINANCIAL DISABILITY
Financial Disability? Get a job and make money.
The white hood was too much looked like crap shoulda just did the roof and left it at that.
So what so you not believe in small block or big block chevys?
what a ridicoulous amount of ads
God I hate Hate! This reality crap. So melodramatic scripted directed edited.👎
