  • Michigan periodontist, Dr. Joseph Nemeth explains the two causes of a gummy smile and the treatment he offers to correct it. Commonly, the teeth appear to be too short because they are covered with excess gum tissue or the lip may pull up too high exposing too much of the tissue. The office of Joseph R. Nemeth DDS & Associates offer periodontal treatments to correct both of these issues.

This is a trap! He wants to hook you for his expensive treatment. The gummy smile can be cured simply by dedicate practice.

We are not at all trying to trap people! We're just shining some light onto a procedure that has helped hundreds if not thousands of people have a more beautiful smile.

This is a widely accepted procedure. It’s not free of course. But we had our dentist perform that for our daughter when she was in high school and it helped a lot. It didn’t solve the whole problem, but it did remove most of the issue. I encourage people to consider. It, and ask your dentist about it.

@@Happybidr Just practice in the mirror! The gummy smile comes from a stupid "mastering" of the lip muscles. It can be controlled.
