It hurts me everyday knowing I owned little Samson and never had an idea what it’s value was. I got that game when I was 9 from my dad who purchased it for 50 cents at a garage sale. Played that game so much that I could speed run it under an hour and was so proud of myself. I later sold the game so I could get the down payment on my house. Let it go for 10 dollars and someone out there got it at the greatest price ever. Also I don’t like when people change their mind or continue to list it without actually wanting to sell it. I have had several occasions where people have changed their mind the day of and it annoys me. I once drove an hour to meet someone and he messaged me right as I get to the meet up spot and says sorry I don’t want to sell it anymore. I was so mad because I now had to drive an hour back home with nothing. I actually recently made time to meet someone for something else and we had agreed to meet and also agreed to notify each other of anything changed. Called him to make sure we where good before leaving home and he lets me know he forgot and no longer wants to make time to meet as he just moved and doesn’t have time. Didn’t even give me a chance to respond and then hung up on me.

Perhaps it was a fake, he knew it, and knew who you were. How would that go down for his future conventions if a 146K youtuber bought a fake game from a dealer on video at a convention? Why else would he suddenly decide he wanted to keep it if it was still on table for sale?

Sweet baby Jesus. An episode on just NES. Man you had me hooked. And on top of it a lot of heavy hitter. Great pickups as always. Space shuttle launch is such a great game but love that blue on the cover. Man you can’t be mad at the man that didn’t want to sell little Sampson. That’s definitely a grail and game you don’t see. Yes he had it out on display but it’s more of a flex. As always Retro great content. Always 🔥🔥🔥

I’ve been in situations where I just don’t want to sell to specific people. Put a camera in my face and I 100% will shut you out. Collecting was a lot more fun when it was about getting stuff to play at flea markets. Now it’s just throwing down cash for bragging rights or CZcams views.

It sucks but it’s his game and he has every right to change his mind. Lots of vendors at these type of shows are collectors and I know collectors can have a hard time letting go. I’ve brought comics to comic book shows to sell and pulled them off the table and decided to keep them. It’s not a good business practice but sometimes people that sell collectibles are collectors first sellers second.

You guys don't get the expo-style meetups like this. It isn't just a big yard sale... it's also for follow enthusiasts to get together and show off their prized possessions. This happens with every hobby show; vintage electronics, coin shows, etc. Things are priced high as they're not REAAALLLY for sale depending on their mood! 😄
