    You can buy the adaptor here: ebay.us/x7ohx0
    Version 2 was released March 14 2022. Now you can insert the filter at a downward angle, and then drop the driver side down and secure it with just a single clip. Should be a lot easier to install for all the large-handed people out there.
    If you need replacement filters, I've confirmed fitment for the following:
    TYC 2-pack ($13): amzn.to/3h8mUCZ
    Purolator One 2-pack ($20): amzn.to/3A4sY8c
    ATP 2-pack ($14): amzn.to/2U9mtjL
    If you ordered after July 25 2021, I widened the filter housing to accept the following (in addition to above):
    ACDelco Gold 2-pack ($19): amzn.to/3kTRweL
    AirTechnik w/Activated Carbon 2-pack ($15) : amzn.to/2VcF92D
    Premium Guard 2-pack ($14): amzn.to/3iLoonj
    Ecogard 2-pack ($13): amzn.to/3kaRduk

    I have a 2004 chevy colorado, and just had to replace the blower motor. So many leafs, twigs and dirt, it caused the fan to burn up and the resistor. Now I know why it randomly spits debris in my eyes while driving. Gonna have to get this, thank you for designing it.

      Dude I got to this video cuz I looked up how change the cabin filter not realizing it doesn’t have one. Makes sense now why I’ve replaced a blower and there’s always leaves rustling around in there and blows an insane amount of dirt in my face if I don’t run the fans for a few days. This is my secondary truck so it sits and collects a lot of debris from the trees outside 😅

    Mike Allumbaugh. I received and installed your cabin filter holder mechanism.. I sealed it in place with calking. I couldn't use the locking mechanism as my arms were to big to reach in far enough to tighten it.
    I also couldn't find a 15 year old in my neighborhood with small arms. It was a bit of a trick to get it in place but I gotter. Took me the better part of two and a half hours to remove wipers. plastic etc. and put it back. I know but I'm 73 and just had a knee replaced. That's my excuse anyway and I'm stickin to it.

    I bought one of these from your eBay store. Really happy with it and glad I now have a filter because I used to get so much dust in the cab. But like you said, wow what a pain to install lol. Not enough room to get your arm into the intake. Took me laying over the engine bay and ripping up my arm for 20 mins or so but I got it in. I ran a bead of silicone around the seal and let it dry into a "gasket" then used the bolt and holder to install it.

      @adamdport  Před 10 měsíci

      Wow I'm sorry you're having so much trouble! Mine fought back a little but I was able to get them free by pushing the arm DOWN (and then wiggling) instead of only pulling up, since it's offset and was causing it to bind. Does that make sense? I'd imagine letting penetrating oil work for 24 hours would make a big difference too?

    • @adamdport
      @adamdport  Před 2 lety +3

      Firstly you need to clean your truck-make sure the entire cavity under your windshield wipers is clean of any debris (leaves, sticks, bugs, etc) and then vacuum your interior as well as you can. Bonus points if you have access to a carpet shampooer. Second, I've had great results with an ozone generator like this one amzn.to/3l8W8ga. You'll want to put your truck on a battery charger, turn the hvac on in recirculate mode (engine doesn't need to be running), and then get the ozone generator going inside the truck for at least a couple hours. The ozone will kill mold/mildew. It can really irritate your lungs, however, so be sure to air the truck out for a few more hours after you're done. Have fun!

  • @nickmorgan1436

    Out of curiosity, is there anyway to change the design by keeping the top two clip on pieces being permanent but then having a short side of the box click in. You would install the filter by sliding in horizontally instead of dropping in? Still interested in getting one but have larger hands.

    • @adamdport
      @adamdport  Před 2 lety

      I didn't like the slide approach as it didn't make enough "pressure" on the filter to keep air from going around it. That being said I might take a stab at redesigning it once the weather warms up a bit.

    • @adamdport
      @adamdport  Před 2 lety +1
