King Tut to Ewok Village Jump line - Blue Mountain Resort, PA [FTR Series]

- čas přidán 30. 06. 2024
- Full run top to bottom on Blue Mountain Bike Park’s intermediate jump line, starting with Boulevard, Upper and Lower King Tut, to Ewok Village, and finishing with the progressive drops into Rollercoaster.
TRAIL DETAIL:
Coming down the lift ramp the entrance to Boulevard will be on your right. It starts off flat before it dips into the woods with some nice berms. The intersection of Upper King Tut comes on you fast so keep your head up. Bare right on to Upper king Tut and this begins the jump section. Eventually this will naturally lead you into Lower King Tut which is rather mellow. Bare right onto Boulevard again where you will have to pedal a little bit to get to Ewok Village.
Ewok Village is full of smaller lippy jumps that can catch you off guard if you are not careful. Definitely check your speed your first time through, trail speed will have you over cooking the jumps (trust me). Once you exit Ewok Village you will see some progression jumps before entering Rollercoaster.

Note: The terrain takes some time to get used to. The trails are loose and bumpy in certain sections, and will have you questioning your line choices. But after a couple runs you get the hang of it, and it becomes a lot more fun. However, for this reason, I would probably not bring a hardtail here, especially if it’s your first time.

FTR (Follow The Rider) is a new series focused on mountain biking a specific trail or line. It will be different from my POV videos in that there will be no music and very little b-roll (if any). The goal is to give viewers a look at a complete run from start to finish.

That was one of my favorite lines at Blue! Ewok is super tricky & I never did quite get the speed right. 😬
Agreed, it's the prefect warm up too. As for Ewok, it's really hard to dial in the correct speed. That trail is where I broke my back, 2 ribs and both my wrists in a bad crash over 2 years ago.
FANTASTIC 😂
Thanks Tyler
Man that tight berm section you were talking about needing to go wide on, man I had to look away at the end cause it was making me dizzy lol
Me too, which is why I totally missed the last one, lol!!!
Here we go!! You’re going so fast!!! I bet the rain helps pat down the dirt! Winding trail! Let’s go!!! Love going along for the virtual ride!!🙌🙌
I was just trying to keep Dan's wheel, lol. Thanks for watching Kirsten
Awesome Video 🤙 I'll need to make my way to PA one day. Force myself to step up my game!
Right on Chris! We got some good riding over here.
Amazing trail Sage. Blue Mountain Resort looks amazing. I love speedy and flowy trails like this. Very, very nice. 🤙🤙
Thanks Luis. Nothing beats bike park day with your friends!
Haha! This looks like fun! You alway bring the crazy excitement Sage! Keep pushing my friend!!
Right on, thanks Paul!
Dang! It's really a skill for you to narrate your rides at high speed. Fantastic! Love these videos, really makes us feel like we're riding with you.
Thanks Simon! I know some folks find my talking annoying, but I feel like it helps most riders know what to expect on the trail.
Great video Sage, that was an awesome trail and you two rode well. The jumps you put in at the end were extreme. Great job buddy. Ride on🤙
Thanks Christoph! The sessioning I have been doing is slowly paying off ;)
Nice place to ride. It looks like they do a great job keeping up the trails. They had some big berms
Thanks Richard. I'm lucky to have this place so close to me.
Excellent!! Beautiful park!! Well done Sage!!! Wooo!
Thank you so much Uzi!
I was there this past SUN; was having fun till lightning closed everything down.
Ugh, that is the worst. Hope you got a few good laps in before hand.
Cool video buddy 🤘🔥 Trail looks faaantastic 🤩
Thx Ville. We had a blast!
Nice combo run that Sage! You and DAnny were flying bruvva!!
Nice work... :D
I was holding on for dear life, lol. Thanks for watching Phil!
Such a fun run. I (Brian) rode there 2 days after you. While Erin and our daughter did the zip line course. Next Trip, Erin will need her bike!
I love the tech trails at Blue. I could play on them all day.
It takes a few runs to get used to the terrain but yeah, it's awesome once you get it dialed. Mt Creek might be better for Erin if she wants to try a DH park. There are so many more trail options and the terrain is easier to manage IMO.
@@TrailSage couldn’t agree more! I was fortunate enough to share closing weekend last season at Mt Creek with Erin and Paige (our daughter).
Erin bought herself a triple play for this year. Excited to give it a try with her new skill set and on a full suspension bike. 😁
@@BandE-MTB Yes!!! Kudos to Erin and Paige Progression rocks!
Sage...ur pretty good at jumping 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽...
Thanks, I'm working on it Mark
Man I missed these conditions by 5 days?! This looks perfect man. Nice job on all the tables, let's get you on hooch while you're warm👀
Oh man, I wish Bryce was closer because I would love to hit that opening drop!
@TrailSage lemme know if you make it down there this season I'll join in!
Its fast riding
Thanks Agung!
Are these the blue trails?
Yes. The whole run from top to bottom are the blue trails
So yeah, the kid that’s hurt at timestamp 5:40 is me
I was the guy with the white helmet
Sorry to hear about your crash. Hope you are ok Ace.
@@TrailSage thank you. I ended up breaking my wrist in two places, screwing up my shoulder, and breaking my tibial spine in my knee
@@acevexx2131 Ouch. We've all been there brotha. It's part of the sport we love so much. Heal up fast and listen to your body. Hope to see you back on two wheels soon.
@@TrailSage thank you
