“Thats not solo ride material” a true expert knows his limits and when not to do something
He said this in 6:03.
(For those who are wondering)
Welcome.
@@exchangeofwisdom8475 legend
I don't ride mountain bike or do such trails, so what exactly does he mean by that? Is it about beeing afraid to knock himself out and nobody there to help / call help? Or can a second person somehow help you, like by giving you hints about your speed and whether or not to abort an attempt?
@@RevCode I don't either, but I'm pretty certain the issue is safety. Even though he surely had a phone on him, finding him and getting to him if he gets hurt will probably take a very long time, even if he is able to call 911. Having someone along would mean he could get some basic first aid, and someone could lead EMS to the spot.
@@RevCode Basically means the stunt was too dangerous to attempt by himself where he can't get help if something goes wrong.
"beyond expert" does not do this justice
"NO" scrawled over and over with bits of broken bikes is more accurate
Facts. How the hell did he do this? I'd lose the trail within seconds if I didn't already eat shit and give up by then lol
Seriously. Maybe even a little blood scrawled at the bottom of that saying "please dont" where you can tell a person wrote it and then dragged themselves away.
Broken bones!
It should just be a sign that says “Fuck You”
With the amount of places things could go seriously wrong, I think I'd go with "The Man Mulcher", and then just have an engraved tally board below that for "The Lost".
I appreciate you showing the parts where you stop and check the trail ahead. Nice to see skill being demonstrated without any pretense of recklessness.
That and making the call not to take risky stunts while solo, really shows the mindset of someone who’s good at this and wants to do it as smartly as possible
there are definitely some places that would have been game over if he didn't especially that jump around the corners with the trees over the path
This and deciding which areas not to do are what define "beyond expert"
I had the same thought
Mostly in places where he would be airborne it seems, not as easy to brake while falling.
I'm kind of amazed that someone spent the time and effort to build this entire elaborate bike trail that probably only half a dozen people in the world can even complete without falling to their certain doom.
Probably built it for themselves
The people who built it were the other 5
@@Hmm.223this reminds me of stories I used to hear about vert (half pipe) skateboarding in the 90s, apparently the only way to be a hardcore vert skater was literally to build your own half pipes
This looks like one of the trails from either Kranked 3 or New World Disorder - can't remember which. Built by pro riders late 90s/early 2000s.
@@robertcarson7871hi, old person here, my neighbor had a half pipe in his back yard. It basically was the skate park in the area. I busted my ass on it once and decided that skating wasn't really my thing.

Not to mention hes a sitting duck for mosquitos as he's laying there injured
Please. None of this trail is solo ride material, IMHO. Then again, I don't have nearly the trials skills this dude has. Just the same, infinite number of obstacles here that one small mistake would translate into a long rest in the middle of the trail.
After he skipped it and I saw those trees in the way my heart dropped. Thank god he didn't hit it. Always good to feel out a trail for the first time especially when your alone. Those trees definitely had a good chance of close lining him.
With the down trees after the landing it that jump was solid Friday Fails material.
Or he has prior experience to know better
There's a thin line between "cycling down a steep hill" and "falling off a cliff with style", but this guy's biking right along it. Props, this is seriously cool

I like how whenever he wanted a better run-up, the clip skips ahead to when he's back a bit, like he just reloaded a quicksave.
exactly lol pretty cool
This makes me think of a mountain bike video game and this would be the last level.
haha yeah i noticed that and i loved it
You think beyond experts have to walk their bike back? You get to unlock unlimited quick saves when you get beyond expert. Expert only gets 3 per day though.
Plot twist: he actually died a few times filming this and those were respawns at the checkpoints
The boyish chuckles of joy but also severe apprehension really make this
I've been riding since 1996 and I've never been able to ride logs like you can. Excellent video man!
“You BIKED it?? Bro that was supposed to be a beyond-expert WALKING trail!”
Why are there ramps then?
@@ebnus3146 to walk on them
Underrated
I've been walking for over 30 years and I would consider myself an amateur at best.

Everyone else: "this guy is an expert, has great discipline and self-control, and makes great videos with no filler!" ... Me: "wow, image stabilization algorithms have come such a long way!"
exactly what i was thinking
You aren't like other girls
it's like he's invisible and there's a drone flying along with the bike
1000th like :p i dont usually point things like that out but i had to
Neeeeeerrrrrrdd!!!!!
Loved listening to the joy this brought to you, the laughs were my favourite part 💖
Scariest ride ever, thanks for taking us along 🤯
Plot twist: he's just running around with a front wheel attached to handlebars with a camera on
In all seriousness you're brave/skilled as fuck doing this
He be running real smooth and fast lmao
I spit out my coffee, lmao

I'm disappointed that the difficulty wasn't from a tree walking up to you and beating the shit out of you at the very end like a final boss.
To be fair 'beyond expert' does sound like a game difficulty
That's what the two fallen trees too low to bike under after a blind jump were supposed to be. You smack into them coming off the jump and "YOU DIED" appears.

these are so satisfying to watch when u know that nothing bad is gonna happen
Famous words, "not solo ride material", I'm sitting here counting how many times I would have died already before that feature 🤣
This guy is just having a fun time and that makes me incredibly happy. I don’t mountainbike but I love being outdoors and it always makes me happy to see others enjoying the things they love.
^Best attitude ever!
@@ChevyAstro97 I try to do everything with positivity
yep that’s how i feel
Man, I’ve been miserable ever since I touched the dark side of the internet and haven’t been able to get out since. But I’ll be real this video really helped combat that, I truly feel genuine happiness seeing another person enjoy life and honestly gives me hope to live out mine like his.
Never touch the dark stuff guys, it’s not worth it. Never know how you deal with it. Stay golden! Not bronze
@Princess Christopher The Merciful One day we’ll embrace the worlds wrong doings with a purer attitude, and live a better life filled with a different look. Life is satire, the only thing worth lookin at is the good. The bad is a waste of time
"How difficult do you want the bike trail to be?"
"Yes"
Clearly, the person who built this thought "This is fine" and just left. I work in a ski resort with a couple of trails and in summer we get a lot of bikers. I know that our employees check the flow trails every day if they're still in working condition. Watching the fallen trees on the trail just makes me really uncomfortable for that reason xD
Probably because almost nobody would even go down this trail so they don’t care about it that much
Honestly there just built different at this point
There probably is a warning up there lol
I love that you can hear this man giggling throughout the ride as if he truly loves this sport
