My Mum had this at her funeral. She died last month and this song helps me feel close to her. Can't think of a song that sums up my Mum as much as this one. RIP Mum.
My brother chose this song for his funeral 9 years ago. It’s his anniversary today and I play it every year. Gives me great comfort 🥰. Thinking of you at this sad & difficult time xx
In memory of Eric's widow, Joan, who died on her 97th birthday, 26 March 2024. Her background support was a crucial factor in the success of Morecambe & Wise. RIP.
Not a word of bad language from them ever either, nothing crude said for shock value, any age could sit, watch, laugh and enjoy. Comics today could learn several lessons from these esteemed gentlemen.
You're joking. The Two Ronnies material was full of sexual innuendo. All those 'marching up and down on the spot' musical numbers were full of 'ooh, he's going to say tits. oh, he said a different word' types of gags.
I’m 24 and this makes me cry bitter sweet tears. So sad comedy legends like these two have gone now :( so gareful to my dear dad for bringing me up on fantastic comedy 💚 thanks pop xx
My 15 year old son, a product of the modern age with his Xbox & iPod etc, watched some Eric & Ernie clips with me and laughed his head off. That, I feel, says a very great deal about these two wonderful, wonderful men - and no song could sum them up better than this one :-)
Hope they lived up to this comment, really made me positive about life and see it was so long ago... and I still feel positive about it. Bring us love.
Never swore never needed to, just two naturally funny men who made generations laugh out loud and continue to do so even today. Thanks for bringing us sunshine
In Lancashire , we have a gold painted double deck bus . ON the sides are the lyrics & the images of Morcambe & Wise . No matter how rubbish my day has been , I always end up singing & smiling . It is now the personal ringtone for my other half . So heartfelt & uplifting , thank you boys
Wow Steve, that is a GREAT sentiment! I was a kid in the States when it was broadcast here briefly, and my older brother enjoyed it. I did too, but it was vastly beyond my understanding at 8 or so. But the duo resonated with me. As a teenager, I remember happening to pick up a British newspaper while in Canada on vacation and reading the sad news that Eric Morcambe had passed. I do remember Ernie appearing in a popular American sitcom of the era in the following year, and making a point to watch it. The upside of the Internet is being able to experience the joy of Eric and Ernie in basically new-to-me sketches and performances. I've always appreciated British culture, and while many American wouldn't get it, I certainly do. Even the theme song just makes me smile, and it was a favorite as a kid. So I can understand how the bus image can be uplifting. Just think, these two were in the war, and they came out on top. Things may be difficult now, but I think of that lovely song and can't help but think nice things!
It brings a lump to my throat, athough it's a happy song. It reminds me of my parents and grandparents and all the other relatives of that generation that I've lost.
My late dads` favourite due,,,,reminds me of every childhood Christmas and holiday ,when he`d laugh along to their antics.....love this song ,and their little dance at the end,..:)..Love and miss my dad so much....so ,posting this for him.....for all the sunshine..always,,,xoxoxo
Watching this during COVID-19 pandemic. A breath of fresh air in this time. “Bring me fun, bring me sunshine, bring me love” I feel much better now 😁🌞❤️
I am watching this in 2019 with my 3 year old daughter. I've sang this to her since the day she was born. My granddad loved Morecambe and Wise so listening to her sing along to this is really emotional for me. Great Grandad would be proud :)
the world would be a better place if we could sing this song and do the fantastic dance at least once a week. ty for posting and bringing me some sunshine.
I agree,i do so miss these guys, christmas was a very special time with these guys, there will never be another couple like them, god rest them and thanks for all the laughs along the way.
My Grandma and Grandad used to sing this to each other while holding hands on the sofa. My neice after hearing it once about 10 years ago said it was her favorite song of all time and still sings it now. Such a positive and uplifting song.
+Rob Bruning It helps if you listen to it at 1.25x speed (click the little cog icon). I think it's been slowed to stop copyright claims. It does sound a bit more miserable when played at 1x!
Yeah, 2 years after your post. It's getting worse. Had memories of me and mate singing this together while going to school in the 70s and felt I needed to listen to it.God we didn't have much in the north -east but we didn't have knife attacks etc.
Walking along Morecambe prom two weeks ago. Howling wind befitting of a moan I looked up and saw Eric's smiling stale and I beamed. Totally innocent entertainers. Did not need to be outrageous. Their brilliance shone. They achieved 26 million viewers to their Christmas shows. RIP ERIC and Ernie xx
My all time favourite comedy duo. Brings back so many happy memories of Saturday nights in my pj's. They were such innocent days and comedy at its best! I'm gonna be smiling all day now.
Although I'm only 17, I admire these two so much. My parents did a brilliant job with bringing me up with old shows. Morecambe and Wise bring back so many good memories of such a good time. Sitting in front of our huge box of a tv in our old house and laughing away together. Since a few years ago nothings been quite the same, and I miss that. But for as long as I know this song, I'll always adore Morecambe and Wise and always remember that the world isnt quite as bad as it all appears to be once you just put some spring in your step.
Hey that's a great idea imagine all of the TV & Radio stations in the uk (even the world?) getting together at say 7pm every Saturday evening and doing the 'Morecambe & Wise' dance, for just 2mins & 25 seconds we could have a nation party...bet all the kids would love it too! Glad you enjoyed the video :)
When I'm organise my stepdad's funeral last year I chose this song to be played as part of the service are local Crematorium he so enjoyed Morecambe and Wise the 2 Ronnies and all the classic comedies it's always seem to cheer him up during the winter months
I loved them both to bits and we never missed a single episode of their shows when I was young. They made a perfect comment duo and we're so naturally funny. Very talented and clever men, difficult to ever be replaced!!! Super❤❤❤❤❤😂😅😂😅👍🤗👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Bring me sunshine In your smile Bring me laughter All the while In this world where we live There should be more happiness So much joy you can give To each brand new bright tomorrow Make me happy Through the years Never bring me Any tears Let your arms be as warm As the sun from up above Bring me fun Bring me sunshine Bring me Love Bring me sunshine In your smile Bring me laughter All the while In this world where we live There should be more happiness So much joy you can give To each brand new bright tomorrow Make me happy Through the years Never bring me Any tears Let your arms be as warm As the sun from up above Bring me fun Bring me sunshine Bring me Love, sweet love Bring me fun Bring me sunshine Bring me Love Hey!
Morecambe and Wise, The Two Ronnies, Rising Damp, On the Buses, Porridge etc were great I can watch these over & over again. Modern days shows are a load of rubbish I keep reading that The X FACTOR get's 15 million viewiers & Simon Cowell gets paid so much money for having no talent, yet Eric and Ernie pulled in 30 million viewers when the population in the UK was far smaller than today. Need I say anymore. Morecambe and Wise were the real Kings of Television.

I'm so sorry. may
She rest in peace.
God bless❤
God bless her

Also had it at my Dad's ❤
In memory of Eric's widow, Joan, who died on her 97th birthday, 26 March 2024. Her background support was a crucial factor in the success of Morecambe & Wise. RIP.
Didn't know she'd gone. God be good to her
Not a word of bad language from them ever either, nothing crude said for shock value, any age could sit, watch, laugh and enjoy. Comics today could learn several lessons from these esteemed gentlemen.
Exactly the same could be said for Tommy Cooper and The Two Ronnies. Comedy that lasts the test of time.
i LOVE Ronnie Barker :D
You're joking. The Two Ronnies material was full of sexual innuendo. All those 'marching up and down on the spot' musical numbers were full of 'ooh, he's going to say tits. oh, he said a different word' types of gags.
Don't care about language, I just care if they're funny and these lads were funny.
Yes. Modern comedy so called is just smut
This was played at my grandads funeral and it upsets me every time I listen to it. Xxx
If the world ever ends, this should be playing while the credits roll
I’m 24 and this makes me cry bitter sweet tears. So sad comedy legends like these two have gone now :( so gareful to my dear dad for bringing me up on fantastic comedy 💚 thanks pop xx

I've just had the shittiest day from hell. Hearing this has completely changed my mood. God bless Eric and Ernie. (You can't see the join you know.)
Is one of those songs that has the same effect on me too
There will never be another Morecombe and Wise. Such good entertainers and no-one today can even come near. xx
Good old U.K. melody! Thanks Erny and Eric. May your memory be eternal!

It brings a lump to my throat, athough it's a happy song. It reminds me of my parents and grandparents and all the other relatives of that generation that I've lost.
One of the sweetest songs ever. It always leaves one with a warm glow of affection. I loved seeing this show in the USA on PBS in the 70's.

A different time . There will never be another duo like them. Times have changed too much .
I am watching this in 2019 with my 3 year old daughter. I've sang this to her since the day she was born.
My granddad loved Morecambe and Wise so listening to her sing along to this is really emotional for me.

Always brightens up my morning!❤️
So sad that these great days of 3 channel television have gone. Such wonderful times. Rest in peace Eric and Ernie.
Thank you gentleman. Just the best. Rest peacefully. Xx
I just found myself singing this song and couldn't remember where I had heard it, I searched and found it here. Such fund memories of childhood
This is the song being played at my funeral. Happy and with a smile and the people walking away saying YES 😊

"I played all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!"

Love it when they sing this at the end of their shows. Wonderful.
Wonderful duo!
First listen to them back in 1973!
Miss their humour SO much!😢
Woke up this morning with this delightful song in singing in my head :0)
Is it just me or is this song so cheerfully innocent that it's kinda sad in the context of real life?
Or maybe it's nice that it retains its innocent silliness no matter what happens around it.
a sunshine bubble
+Rob Bruning A realy nice song for a psychotik killing spree.

Good gracious ain’t that the truth!
I would rather paint every blade of grass than watch xfactor
Who wouldn't? I can honestly say that I have never watched an episode of The X Factor
@Leo Mulgrew drc86 even said that 8 years ago, before X factor went from shit diabolical
I'd rather watch Morecambe and Wise than Love Island
Got a big smile on my face listening to this. This was Saturday Night
My dad would sing this in the middle of a massive family row 🤣. He died friday 18th Nov and this will be played at his funeral. Miss you dad already
My dad had this as walking out song at his funeral he would of loved it. Missing you today dad x
My friend in the UK just introduced me to this song! We've not heard of it here in the US, but I'm so glad to hear it. It's wonderful! 🎵🎶🎺🎻
It's originally an American song...

Everytime I'm upset I listen to this and whatever the problem was just goes, I literally can't feel sad when listening to this
We had this as the opening tune at my dad's funeral ceremony because he was a man full of laughter and humour.
Bliss, perfect and timeless.
Bring me sunshine
In your smile
Bring me laughter
All the while
In this world where we live
There should be more happiness
So much joy you can give
To each brand new bright tomorrow
Make me happy
Through the years
Never bring me
Any tears
Let your arms be as warm
As the sun from up above
Bring me fun
Bring me sunshine
Bring me Love
Bring me sunshine
In your smile
Bring me laughter
All the while
In this world where we live
There should be more happiness
So much joy you can give
To each brand new bright tomorrow
Make me happy
Through the years
Never bring me
Any tears
Let your arms be as warm
As the sun from up above
Bring me fun
Bring me sunshine
Bring me Love, sweet love
Bring me fun
Bring me sunshine
Bring me Love
Hey!
Had my grandads funeral today. This was playing.
Morecambe and Wise and Grandstand are the best programmes on TV
Loved these 2 as a kid .
Reminds me of my nan the leaving song at her funeral ❤❤
Always make me smile, too. Much missed.
Lovely little number. Can’t help but smile.
This used to be my primary school assembly song, damn times flies I’m 19 now
Bring me laughter,Bring me sunshine Bring me LOVE (jazz hands) 👐🏻

This is always the theme song to the pantomime in my town.
I can't believe I'm related to Eric, I come from Carnforth and he is my grandads cousin.
TheGreatBrit what !
Wow and double Wow! That's the coolest thing!
Just brilliant
Made me tear up.
Eric Morecambe, Luton Town legend!
There shall never be their like again. R.I.P. Eric, Ernie and Eddie, and thank you for all the laughs and wonderful entertainment 🙏🏻. Sleep well boys.
Such a good song from many years ago ! Reminds of being young, which was also many yrs ago ! :)
Play this every day 😁👍
Love and memories
Will never be surpassed.
Morecambe and Wise were the real Kings of Television.
Have you seen the 'new' version of Porridge? Total shite.
I have never bothered too.
There will never be another Ronnie Barker, Richard Beckinsale, Fulton McKay to name a few.
The original was great
