Los Angeles Travel Tips: 13 Things to Know Before You Go to LA

- čas přidán 29. 05. 2024
- Things you need to know before you travel to Los Angeles California. LA is HUGE. You won't be able to see all of LA, unless you're staying for a very very long time. Los Angeles doesn't have a "center" and Downtown LA is not very exciting. LA is comprised of multiple cities Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Malibu. Get a rental car - You'll need it to see most tourist attractions in Los Angeles.
2. Traffic
- LA has traffic everywhere, all the time. All day, every day. Yes, even at 1am on a weekend. Deal with it.
- The freeways have names -- it's not I-405 -- it's "THE 405"
3. Public Transit
- LA has a subway!
- But it probably doesn't go where you want! Especially the beach!
4. Parking
- Is often Valet
- and Costs money everywhere
- Except when you're parking on the freeway :)
- Pay attention to street signs (confusing times and days)
5. Navigation
- Know where you're going and take the correct exit
- Take the wrong exit and you might end up in some place really sketchy
- Lots of little cities, the street numbering changes in different cities
6. Weather
- LA is not always sunny and warm
- It gets cold -- particularly at night
- Shorts in the day, but pants and a jacket at night
- And the ocean water is cold too... 70 degrees is as warm as it gets
- Inland can be 30 degrees warmer than the beach
- Lots of sunscreen
- Sunglasses
- It's dry -- moisturizer
7. LA is unlike the rest of California
- It can feel like a different country, or at least a different state
- Venice Beach in particular
8. Hollywood is in the neighborhood called "Hollywood"
- West Hollywood is in front of the Hollywood sign (and a different city) with Fancy homes
- East Hollywood doesn't have much
- North Hollywood over the mountain is a suburb of LA
- Oh by the way -- no actors in Hollywood
- And if you go see a 30 minute sitcom taping it will take 4+ hours
9. The Valley
- Means San Fernando Valley
- Burbank, Studio City, North Hollywood, Van Nuys
10. LA's most well known attractions are also some of the most rundown
- Hollywood Boulevard or is Tijuana?
- Venice Beach, oh my lord
11. LA is casual
- Flip flops and shorts are OK except in the most dressy establishments
12. Bring your own shopping bag
- Supermarkets charge 10 cents for shopping bags in California
13. Mexican Food in LA is awesome
- Get some fish tacos!
- And visit King Taco!

Yellow Productions
Good price on tacos
Yellow Productions what air port do u recommend if ur flying out of DFW
14. No matter how much LA looks like shit hole Tijuana. You really are in America.
Yellow Productions, if Santa Monica, Beverly hills and all them other smaller cities are independent, why do people claim them to be LA when technically it's not?
Hi I live in Panama Central America and I wanna travel to Los Angeles
"Stay here for a month and you won't see it all." Hahaha! I've lived here all my life and I haven't seen it all!
true but if you want to do something ,and have a gps it is easy to get around ",im from Norway around 5 mill people all in al"l ,but to eat at Canters Deli as my first day as driver in LA was real smooth,it is a lot of cars but people over there are way more calm than in EU , best place i ever been , it even beats Vegas :)
Exactly what I thought when he said that! I am from Inglewood, and I'm the same, never seen it all.
The story of my life!
That's probably because you just got used to it, and don't care anymore..
Get out more !
The parking joke about the 405 was so on point 😂 I was crying
Want a better chance of catching stars/celebrities? You're more likely to run into them eating lunch or grabbing coffee in Studio City, Calabasas, or Woodland Hills.
Great tip!
I though Calabasas was closed for «normal» people?
Not a bad idea. I am planning on going there next month because I have family there.
If you want to see lots of stars won’t the desert be the best place? I’m from a very bright country and would love to see stars at night. Is it safe to just go out someplace and watch stars? We visited Florida last year but I was too chicken to stop the car at night somewhere in the Everglades because of the animals and sketchy pickups driving around.
Sledanet Oh no, he meant stars as in celebrities not real stars
I’m a L.A. native and everything he said is so true. Especially #10. Everyone that comes to visit LA thinks its going to be high-end, gold plated roads and man, they are so disappointed. Especially if you go to downtown, its really ghetto. We have one of the highest homeless populations believe it or not.
lauren kim I avoided going to LA for years because I was afraid it would be all hood and really dangerous. I figured that was probably what the majority of the city would be. I ended up going to the LA last spring for the first time. It was much nicer than I thought. So much so I'll be moving there from Northern California in summer 2018.
L.A. Native here as well really the issue is all the damn people that come from the Midwest wanting to be actors and shit, as we like to call them transplants.
Same with Hawaii lol. A lot of homelessness
Hehe, how do you mean when you call the transplants?
What do yo mean with you don't feel "that way" about the homeless? What way?
I used Uber and the Metro instead of renting a car, which was much less expensive than renting a car, and paying for parking. That also gives you the opportunity to do a little site seeing before you arrive at your destination.
how is the public transportation, is it hard to navigate? I am planning on going alone and i am nervous, would prefer not to change multiple buses and getting lost :(
Skyee Not really hard, I would suggest using Google maps to navigate from there, sometimes the buses are crowded and unfortunately just like the guy said at the video the metro train doesn't take you to many places really. Its mostly buses what make up the public transportation.
I want to spend atleast 1 week in LA, see all the major tourist spots including disneyland and maybe a concert and lots of shopping... I will try to see what spots are connected by the metro and easy bus routes, if majority of them are metro connected, i will be so happy xD
I just feel like buses are going to be difficult for me as the timings are not good and homeless people :(
Skyee I wonder how did that go ?
havent gone to LA yet, I will go in April , plans delayed xD
Here's another tip, you don't wanna be on thee 405 Fwy at 4:05pm at all.
+LongieR8er Good tip! :)
Stay away from the 91 fwy!
I used to think LA traffic was the worst, I mean the 405, 110, 5, 10 and so on, then I went to the Philippines and that traffic is horrible, I mean downright bad. It took me over 4 hours to go 12 miles to the airport and I left at 3:00am.
LA traffic is not so bad anymore. Sure we have 6 lanes and a carpool lane or two, but go visit other countries and see their crappy traffic.
LongieR8er dude that's everywhere in LA lol
Eziekle Crafts what the fuck??
Tourists need to know that motorcycles riding between cars (lane splitting) is legal in California.
Absolutely!
As a motorcyclist thanks!
@Mike Gunnerst Ha! I'm so offended lol.
Skyerzen that took some getting used to!
As in everywhere else in the world. Except the other United States states.
As an L.A. native, I'd like to add that if you're coming to the beach, be prepared for times of heavy, damp, chilly fog. We used to call it "June Gloom" but last year we had it for about 9 more months! I live a mile from Redondo Beach and it usually doesn't burn off until 11 am and then will return in the late afternoon. Also El Burrito, Jr! Best Mexican food, ever!
The marine layer
As a San Diego native, I always hated coming up here to Los Angeles. Now I find myself living in the LA area and it is an area filled with so much to do/explore and with more depth than I ever thought. Most of the thing you touched on were good and helpful for tourist. When I have friends in town and they want to visit Hollywood and Highland, I tell them it sucks and then take them to the Fairfax Dist. Farmers Market/Grove. A much better experience and you DO see stars there from time to time.
Parking sucks anywhere in LA, but that is part of the territory. One of my favorite places and it isn't something that most tourist think about visiting is the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
Head over to Spokes Cafe on the LA river, rent a bike for an hour and ride the bike path, then visit Carrolwood, the home of Walt Disney's red barn in Griffith Park.
The last thing about Mexican food and King Taco....there is way better Mexican food out there in Los Angeles !
You can find authentic food from all over the world in L.A. We have amazing Korean; Phillipino; Thai; Vietnamese; Chinese; Japanese; Lebanese; Ethiopian; Peruvian; Cuban; Salvadorian; Indian; Russian... and some of the most amazing Mexican food you can have outside of Mexico. The only problem is that a lot of these food places are located in areas that most tourists are being warned against. Do your research, find a cuisine you'd like to enjoy, and take a risk in an area you wouldn't normally go to. You'll expand your horizons, and find that some of these areas are not as scary as they're being portrayed.
Things to do in LA: Visit Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier, the arts district is awesome for young adults, Hollywood, Griffith park, Fairfax district if you're into shopping, check out Guisados tacos, and head a little south to Orange county and experience Huntington Beach and Disneyland. Go to an LAFC soccer game when in season. Also Silverlake/echo park has a nice nightlife for young adults.
When people say LA they mean anything in Los Angeles County. And yes you need a car.. Santa Barbara and Orange county are also amazing places to visit to truly appreciate the sol cal vibe.
6:30 "its not always sunny...particularly at night"
You dont say?
he was referring to the temperature
Talking about temps. December-March is our rainy season and there have been years where it rained almost everyday for a month or two. Also from December-February overnight temperatures can dip from the high 20s-low 30s Fahrenheit (basically freezing temps; 0 deg Celsius) in the city basin and lower at higher elevations (0 deg-low 20s Fahrenheit; mountains nearby usually get a few inches to a few feet of snowfall--and the ski resorts open). Fall and Spring are pleasant mostly but it still cools at night (light sweater and pants are good). Summer is the only time when shorts and flip flops are good 24/7.
💀
I’m from Canada, so when I went to L.A, Everyone was walking around with hoodies and pants, while I was walking around in a T-shirt and shorts cause I’m used to really cold weather lmao
Really helpful, practical tips. I've just started planning a first ever visit to California from the UK so these will be great.
I'm from Cali, and everything he said is pretty much true- I was saying yep, yep to everything he said
Thanks for the confirmation!
Good Pretty Accurate Tips and also Spot On with the descriptions. 👍
whoa whoa 67 is cold? I need to go to LA for winter to get away from 28.
This is the best LA travel guid for foreigners I've found on CZcams. A lot of talking, not as funny, but gives the most concrete and useful facts & info. Thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to make such a fantastic informative and entertaining video ☺️ We are thinking of visiting LA and this has given me more info than any travel guide or brochure 😊
Awesome. Thanks Kelly!
L.A. has so many awesome hole-in-the-wall restaurants of every kind, I wouldn’t waste any time here going to dress-up places. Going to the little places can also help get you out into different neighborhoods (because there are SO many neighborhoods), and then you’ll feel like you experienced more of the city.
He’s very accurate on everything he said. As a native Angelino I recommend visiting the Griffith Observatory from there you can see the entire Los Angeles, Hollywood sign and DTLA. Plus the Inside of the Observatory is very cool.
As far as food, I highly recommend Al & Beans Mexican food in east L.A. not to far from DTLA. They have hands down the best Mexican burritos. Hope you enjoy our beautiful city :)
Thanks pandaroc!
I found this video extremely helpful! Thanks for covering questions I didn't know I needed answered!
Many great tips. Thanks for sharing!
When you’re from Scotland and he said bring a jacket and long trousers but you find out the typical night temperature is 16 degrees Celsius.
I’m going to be in shorts the whole time or I’m going to melt.
I say to pack them.. didn't say you have to wear them :). Many people underestimate how cold it gets in LA at night. Enjoy the shorts weather! :)
Yes I'm a Celtic ginger and I visit LA in December and it's still too hot for me
I'm from Canada and we have snow in winter so that's nothing
What is 16 Celsius in Fahrenheit?
Great tips! Watched your videos in the past when I visited Hawaii and it was awesome info! 👍🏼
Thanks for the tips and your positive attitude :)
im comming in December to Hollywood and its my first time im so happy and thank you for this nice Video i learning how and what i appreciate it
Another tip: pay attention to the far left lane on the freeway. It randomly and suddenly turns into an express lane with barriers to prevent you from switching lanes. You'll be stuck and you'll get charged for using the lanes.youll have about 5 days to pay it online! They wanted to charge me nearly 300 bucks for waiting until the end of the month pay it
Good point!
Wow !!! You explained everything beautifully. You are super informative. Thank you it really helped me.
Thanks N Pena!
Very helpful. Many thanks!
Thanks so much Chris! I'll be landing in LA to get to Long Beach for a weekend festival (LAX plane tickets were cheaper than LGB) and have been searching for activities to make my time there useful. I appreciate all of the heads up such as weather, traffic and rundown tourist attractions. I look forward to learning new travel tips! Have a wonderful day :)
Thanks Jocelyn!
Born and raised... but still binging your videos. All great!
+SKOHC Thanks Skohc!
I watched your video about Las Vegas and it was very useful when i went for my 21st!
Now I'm going to LA and again, i found your videos so useful! Thank you !
Very accurate I’m watching this after my trip
I'm from Chicago the bus doesn't scare me, nor do "sketchy places"😂
Thats good!
The LA bus should scare you because it does not go anyehere. Ok, if it does, with minor exceptions, plan 3+, hours. I am year LA resident. I never drivr
One day I wanna visit Los Angeles one day just to have fun
This was extremely helpful. Thank you!
Thanks Nerdy!
Great video's! We miss LA so much & can't wait to get back!
I’m an LA native and here’s a list of places to avoid:
Other than a meal at historic Musso and Franks steer clear of the entire Hollywood and Highland area. It’s a mess and filled with tourists. The Chinese theater is no big deal either.... remember Hollywood is no longer glamorous and hasn’t been since the 1950s
Venice beach is a dump. I live 15 minutes away and go once every few years if I have no choice. Head towards Malibu instead
You can check out the valley if you want but I sure as hell wouldn’t waste any vacation time out there.
If you have a rental car don’t attempt driving through downtown LA because it’s so confusing with one-way streets and construction. I wouldn’t even drive down there, take an Uber
Great tips on things to avoid. Thanks Scott. I feel the same way about Venice Beach for sure :)
Hey man, I'm moving to LA soon, maybe once there we can meet to hang around, cheers man
no no. walked around hollywood and highland with my wife and kid, its worth an hour and the sidewalk star things are fun. just ignore the cartoon character guys. it was fine....venice beach is not a "dump". its a rapidly gentrifying area that still attracts all kinds of characters and some sketchy people, but again, no problems there with my family....Malibu? fine for a lunch and some beach time, but thats a rich persons town.
Like Igor, I'm also moving down there. Any chance we could talk on the phone for a bit so I could pick your brain about LA? I know no one from there and I'd like to know more about it.
Did you move to LA? How is it? I'm moving there in a couple months and would like to know more about it.
Definitely agree about the fish tacos! I'm from the UK and it was the first thing I ate when I got here as I missed them so much!!
Fish tacos are pretty tasty :)
Very very cool and informative video 🔥👍🏼
Thank you, very informative.
1. Malibu seafood ( it’s byob with ocean views)
2. Fuddruckers in Burbank best hidden gem when it comes to burgers!
3. Topanga canyon hiking trails the views and rock formations are amazing then eat at carnitas Michoacan Mexican food down the street ( shopping center at Larsen and topanga canyon)
Thank me later! Btw I’m from the valley so this is just my section of LA.
Houses are cheaper going south
Going to LA soon from Australia. This is super helpful. Thank you.
Thanks James!
Wow.. the best tips I've found on CZcams. Thanks!
Thanks Chris, I am heading to LA this week so your video is very helpful 😀
Thanks Marlee
Good video. You covered it all.
Thanks George!
I’ll be there soon! I’m excited and nervous to be there... From N.Z. to L.A.
Glitz and glam or not I’m sure it will still be a huge difference. I can’t wait! 😊
Same!! Girls week for us have fun!
That’s like taking a vacation from paradise to a landfill lol...why would you come here? Go to Santa Barbara, San Diego, Orange County, or like ocean cities heading towards San Francisco (but not San Fran)....I would avoid LA....it’s dirty/smells bad and traffic is terrible. Not to mention you might get robbed, kidnapped, raped, murdered, etc etc
Most helpful video on LA I’ve ever watched! Thanks
Thanks!
I've been visiting LA for 20 years, and I have to say - you really nailed this. Perfect advice.
Awesome! Thanks Robert!
Bring your expectations waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down. hahaha I was cracking up. I tell people this all the time. lol
As an Angeleno I agree 100% with all your advice. The only thing I would add is that locals measure driving distances in time and not in miles. For example if someone asks? "How far is the Griffith Park Observatory?" Or "How far is Dodger Stadium?" You'll get a response like "If you take the 5 it's 40 minutes but if you take the 101 it's 20 minutes".
Thanks Mark!
super cool reviews! Thank you
Absolutely love your videos mate! I wish I knew you as a person mate you seem like an awesome bloke mate! I am in your part of the world in April & I hope I run into you!
Thank you buddy,
Appreciate ya 😊👍🏽
So helpful and local!
+Kenta Tominaga Thanks Kenta!
Some great places to visit outside of LA are Catalina Island, Lake Arrowhead, Palm Springs, or even Santa Barbara. Think about spending a night on the Queen Mary. She's in need of a bit of attention but it's a very unique "hotel". The last time I was there, I got free parking in Beverly Hills at the library garage. LA is for cars so take Mulholland Drive from end to end and don't forget driving the canyons: Coldwater, Beverly Glen, Benedict. If you go on LA restaurant week you can get some decent deals dining on Canon Drive in Beverly Hills.
Thanks for the day trip tips!
Thank you! love this video. Everything covered all.
Thanks Anjelica!
love your videos .. feels like being back home
Great Video I Live in Burbank and you killed it !!!
Thanks Just Me!
Thank you this was really helpful. I have just booked a holiday to LA
Enjoy!
Thanks for realistic and not hateful advice.
Great video! Thank you for sharing and extra cred for the detailed description box!
Thanks Jonna for the love on the description! :)
West Hollywood is a fabulous place to visit.
Hey man, I'm moving to LA soon, maybe once there we can meet to hang around, cheers man
Ayyyy when you said king taco my heart skipped a beat lmao it's the best taco place ! I was hoping you would say that. And for fish tacos I suggest "taconazo"
rule 1 do not talk about taconazo
thats ours! tourists out :)
Tacos baja as well 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
This is such a useful video, thanks so much for making it! Your advice is like having a friend from the area who has your best interests in mind :)
Thanks Steff!
Hey Steff, I'm moving to LA soon, maybe once there we can meet to hang around, cheers man
Great vid! You hit it a bullseye with all your info.
Thanks P F!
Very helpful
+Moonjuana Thanks Moonjuana!
I completely agree with what you said about LA Mexican food. I never realized how good we had it here in LA till I visited the midwest and had Mexican food there. Adding a tortilla to a meal does not make it Mexican food lol.
If we aren't talking corn tortillas then I don't count it as Mexican. 🤣
Nor does adding Mexicans to America make them Americans.
Awesome descriptions...Thank you for your tips!
Thanks Ernst!
Thanks for these tips, I am heading there for a few days and hiring a car so you have helped with street addresses and parking tips.
I grew up in the 90's in Colorado and the term "valley girl" was often used. After all these years I finally get what that meant. Also some of my family is from the central coast. Cheers
Your videos are brilliant
Very informative and detailed! Thank you!
Thanks HooDoo! :)
@YellowProductions. Thank you for the information. I wanted to add a couple of helpful facts that weren't in your video. What you said about parking in LA is true for 99.9% of the area; however in the main shopping area of Beverly Hills a little north of Wilshire Blvd on either N. Cannon Dr. or N Beverly Dr is an underground parking area where you can park for free for 2 hours. In West Hollywood in Sunset Plaza you can park behind the Cafe' Med Italian restaurant for free as long as you eat or shop at one of the places in the area of Sunset Plaza. You can also avoid paying for parking at a lot of the Malibu State Beaches like Zuma Beach or Leo Carillo by parking on the side of the road on the PCH. Lastly; at Santa Monica Pier you can avoid paying more for parking at the pier by simply parking at the Santa Monica Place Mall and walking a few blocks to the pier; there's still a fee for parking at the mall, but it's about half as much as the pier parking.
+Travis Kelly Hi Travis -- Great parking tips! Thanks for the addition!
Hey man, I'm moving to LA soon, maybe once there we can meet to hang around, cheers man
Love the info. Thanks
I had no problem parking near Zuma beach
@@ninamc6116 I never said there was any problems with Zuma Beach parking. My main advice if a person doesn't want to pay for parking they can park on the side of the road on the PCH. Because the only two options for parking at Zuma Beach is either the paid parking area or the side of the road on the PCH.
Nice video man ! you should do one for people planning to actually move to LA
+Igor Rosales Hmmm... I'll have to think about what to say in that one!
No problem bro, let me know if I can help... I'm also planning to visit LA in 2018
Title: “one thing to know before moving to LA”
2 second video : Don’t move to LA
This was the best video about LA that I saw! I’ll be there next week and this helped me out a lot!
Thanks Douglas!
This was super informative. Thank you.
Thanks!
Thank You, for the truth.
+Robert Polito My pleasure Robert :)
Here in Texas Mexican food is the same...GREAT! Both, Tex-Mex, and authentic Mexican food. Although, it is different (different origins) than California, but EXCELLENT (usually).
this is GREAT! I'm going to LA in a week. needed this
I subed
I like how you don’t mince words! These are things that really need to be said. 🤷🏼♀️
6:48 There's a such thing as short pants? I am from Inglewood, it gets down in the 60s in July! Tourist Tip: Hollywood Blvd is a tourist trap!
One more thing the best place to spend a day in Southern California is Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena. Hands down the best museum in the USA if not the world, and the best thing its undiscovered. Many of the wold best artists work on display.
Extremely helpful! Thank you!
Thanks!
Oh my! A friend recommended this one. love it. Saves me the travelling. :-)
As a native so cal resident. This is accurate for travelers.
+M G Thanks for the vote of confidence M G!
Sir what hotel do you recommend. I prefer less expensive one but accessible. I’m planning to visit in November. Thank you.
Just got back from an LA vaca last week. I go about once a year for a few days. I should add a few things to these notes. As far as homeless people, I offered one guy with a dog a bottle of water and my "thank you" was a middle finger. I agree on the parking woes. Just about everywhere to park will cost you, and don't think you can get away without putting money in the meter. The $76 parking ticket I got near downtown while 100 feet away taking a few pics confirms. Hit it on the nail with the traffic, there is no point is getting upset at the traffic volume. Most of these highways were built 30+ years ago . and just cannot handle the amount of people. He should have reminded out of towners that LANE SPLITTING is legal here for motorcyclists, so they are not being assholes by passing between cars. I've seen plenty of videos of motorists merging to stop the riders or causing crashes. All restaurants will be packed. However, In & Out Burger is not the be all end all as so many claim, it's good, but I wouldn't go out of your way to eat at one. And, the biggest travel tip Chris here did not mention is the chaos that is LAX. If you have a rental car, all of the satellite locations are located a few miles away and are shuttle bus reachable. Add at least 30-45 mins of time for drop off or pick up of your rental. LAX comprises of many terminals, and the gridlock and drop off time for passengers should be noted. The only flight I have ever missed was out of LAX due to massive traffic trans-versing the city, then delays at security. Arrive at LEAST 3 hours early if you have a rental car to drop off.
For the extra tips.. and I agree on LAX. I flew in to LAX last night.. and whenever I do I'm reminded how much I hate that airport.
dont offer the "homeless" anything. a quick "Sorry" when they ask for money is enough.
Try Burbank airport next time and stay @ The Burbank Marriott. It’s across the street from the airport.
Sounds like you know alot...where would you stay for a girls trip (mature women) wanted to stay on beach but see all the Hollywood stuff?? Maybe 2 different places??
He can get water, what he needs is a home, do you carry one of those with you?
Great video, very helpful and entertaining: thanks a lot for sharing, Chris
+Andrea Ianni Thanks Andrea for the kind words! :)
🙂🙂
Ur my fave travel youtuber, been binging ur videos ahead of my upcoming US trip!!
Thanks Rollsaroll!
This is the greatest video ever right now. No really. Everything I've been googling trying to understand you explained. I am so grateful and kinda in shock as to what I just learned. To la people this may seem dumb but I never understood why orange county people say they're not from la. I'm going to watch this over and over and memorize this. Most useful video I've seen in a long time. Thank you you really helped me.
Also you have a lot of trolls
Thanks for the kind words!
If you have any troll repellent I'll take it! CZcams is full of them unfortunately!
sheloveswilby if you need advice about LA just comment in one of my videos 👍
I just spent Thanksgiving weekend in LA, and to my shock, there was not much traffic to speak of from Thursday to Saturday. On Sunday, when I was trying to rush to get out of town to go home, it was back to being gridlock. But from now on, I'm visiting LA during Thanksgiving.
Wow. This video is so very helpful!
Thanks Ringil!
I've lived here since the 1960s. This is amusing and probably helpful. People from Orange County ("the OC") hate us but brag that they are from L.A. when they are traveling. Good video.
LA is also known for its awesome Asian cuisine. There are some fantastic authentic Chinese restaurants in San Gabriel and Arcadia, great Korean restaurants in Korea town, and fantastic Thai places in Los Angeles and sprinkled around the county. We also have more than decent all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants, you just have to find them. Yelp, while not perfect is a phone app that can point you to some pretty unique and great restaurants that even most locals don’t even know about.
Great tip on yelp!
Good video man! I'm from the LA area and this is a good video to share with my friends or anyone thinking to visit LA before they do :) only thing i would mention though - you said LA dress code is casual but I would disagree with that specifically in terms of night clubs where you must dress decent or probably won't get in. THAT is also not what people expect when they come here. AND expect to pay a high cover and wait in line if you're thinking to go anywhere nice and you're not a group of good looking girls. A lot of people hate LA night life scene (compared to other places) to for those reasons.
Great video!
Thanks! And I appreciate the additional input on nightclubs.. that's not really my scene.. which is probably why I didn't know to share that tidbit. But it makes sense.. usually people I see in line for clubs are quite dressed up!
Hey man, I'm moving to LA soon, maybe once there we can meet to hang around, cheers man
This is the best travel tips video i have seen!
Thanks skyejuggler!
Great video! Thanks Chris
Thanks Choice Junction!
Don't waste your money at other donut shops! Go to Randy's get some classic glaze and apple fritters! Also Iron Man tricked me, there is no inside
California Donut in K-Town is worth stopping by for some donuts 🍩
