And about Sweden … love this!! It is everything I needed from Sweden this year !!
The won Melodi Grand Prix Junior when they were 10 years old. After that they have been very popular in all of Scandinavia. 2015 they had a viral hit called Elektrisk that was everywhere. They are from Norway but they have a huge fan base in Sweden.
They were the runner ups in Melodifestivalen last year
They won Masked Singer Sweden in 2022.
For instance, they sang Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud".

Aside from Switzerland, Germany, Denmark and Norway... literally nothing else is on a par. Absolute dire selection this year. And for that reason I believe Sweden will do very very well. It was important for them to have a good ear-worm because they are the first to perform in the running list on May 11th... they needed something that would stick in people's minds after all the other acts are done. IMHO - A job very well done.
Read about why the song is written. So its not simpel. I think it’s a interweav whit them and the lyrics are great when you get the story ❤
I highly doubt you saw a clip of them giving the jury points from Sweden 😂 Maybe Norway though?
his is just a semi-copy of the 90’s dance floor. To many 12 years voting, for them this is new but… no. I heard it before. Yes it’s good, for the floor but in a competition that is about melody… I hope not. We can do much better.

Swede here. I did not want this song to win. It's a cliché of a cliché. Large part of the melody, especially the chorus, is sooo monotonous. And when it comes to delivery...I just can't with those smoldering eyes staring into the camera while striking dramatic poses. Pretentious but juvenile. I'm way over the boy bands.
Now, I didn't have a real favorite this year, but I really liked Cazzi opeias entry. The staging was bonkers and I usually don't listen to that kind of pop music, but it was a real song! Hard as hell to sing but she did a great job with (almost) mo sour notes! Many a little bit too inspired by PSB's Go West, which in turn was inspired by... and so on.
