My favorite vid so far was the steering cross over bars and double bump shock upgrade, and I did the same thing to my ‘08. Made a HUGE difference and the truck drives way better now.

It gotta be this one, I’ve been working my instal with fortin off and on for over a month now. It’s due to the year of my truck 07 5.9, it’s the half year mesh up and when I ordered they sent me all that I needed but the install instructions for the late 07 with a different plug. Fortin by far has the best customer service, in fact I’ll be calling them soon to wrap mine up. They also opted to send my the flash link updated on their dime for a short period of time to adjust the settings for the diesel start delay and then return. 100% recommend. I can put a finger on my best video of yours, all of them are super informational and details to the T. As a prior FCA Technician, 👍🏼 to you and your channel! I’ve watched them all!

favorite thus far has been the Ranette Ironworks steering install, followed closely by the Ranette Ironworks adjustable track bar install. if we're ranking top three here, i'll actually go with the fuel rail race plug vid you did WAY back in the day... that was the first (and AFAIK the only) one i've run across where you actually address the proper torque spec for the plug.

hell yeah man that was a good mod. I got a sweet deal on mine from Ebay. I think i paid like 550 for the kit brand new?
My favorite video was the cheap $30 catch can installation. I did it on my 4th gen 2018 initially as you did with plug and drain to ground, but eventually got an EGR code. I then attached outlet of can back to turbo, cleared codes and now no issues. I think the egr needs some negative pressure from turbo. Regardless it seems to work and I’m glad I did it. One last this, what happened in Miami last Saturday to those Canes? Gobble Gobble.
that was a good mod too man! I'm going to be reinstalling mine again here soon. Catch can is a awesome video! Canes dropped the ball man hard, bad coaching, they trying to blame the players but that defensive coordinator did a horrible job planning or adjusting

My favorites were the turbo videos. Mainly because I was planning on going with a 467 and am kind of glad I got to see how you thought the spool up was with factory injectors. I plan to get injectors sometime soon but a different turbo is happening first. Probably gonna go with the 464. Thanks for all the great videos man! I have an 08 too so they really help me out a lot!

Hey man great video! I’ll be ordering this for my 08 Cummins also, just curious you didn’t touch at all on the fortin updater you bought, did you have to connect the chrt5 to the updater and the updater to you computer and then download the firmware for the diesel model? Thanks!

The video was great. I have a 06 and was thinking about doing that to it too. I have one question, do you know or have heard if it has any conflicts with like the edge system, which has the turbo timer and allows the truck to run after you turn off the truck? Thanks
you can setup the alarm to run with turbo timer. But off the bat it will not effect that. this system does not conflict with the OBD II system at all this utilizes the ignition immobilzer and CAN BUS system.
The wires you put together. Would it be the same wire for a hemi.
How does the flash work tho? By plugging it into the “brain”, or into a computer as well?

Just tried to install on my 06 5.9. Everything was going good until I tried the remote start with factory key, it did seem program fine. Truck would not start but it would turn the fuel pump on and grid heater. Dash didn’t do anything (light up) neither. Suggestions?

if you go to fortin website they have a support phone line you can call and they specifically can tell u what to doo for your vehicle.

I purchased this exact system, Evo-All and harness, and mine over cranks a full 2 "Mississippi's" after it starts. I did everything the same. I have a 2007.5 Ram 2500 6.7L auto. I feel like I programed it wrong but I'm seeing several others with the same issue. Do you have any advice or input? Would you mind sharing what Flashlink settings you used? I spliced the two wires properly. I just can't figure it out. I'm about to buy an Evo-One because it let's you adjust crank time. Thanks in advance and I love your videos!
U need to make sure your truck is set to diesel mode. Every year truck wire setup is different. U need to look at instructions for a 07
Hey man, have you had any issues with the evo all not letting the grid heater cycle fully? I've down graded the firmware to 0.36 and that is better than the newest firmware but still won't let it cycle fully. Thanks man.

I do have a minimax I used it for tuning over a year but i dont use it for tuning no more, i use efi live now. I got a video explaining what tuning I use and why I run two tuners, so the minimaxx is just a monitor for me.

Yes it can, u just need to ground ur clutch wire so the truck thinks the clutch is pressed down all the time
super easy install ... when i threw out the instructions and used yours - only issue is the starter stays engaged too long on my diesel; called Fortin and they had a firmware up date but it didn't look after it completely!?
There customer support is good. I had to call them before as well

Oh yeah super easy!! Before you install it you have to install the update to it, so you can setup idle time, delayed start, and more!
With the rf add on, can you still use the factory key if needed to remote start?
yes you can! thats what i like about that system.

Do you need keyless entry remote program before installing? Would it work if I dont have keyless entry and I do the same route you did? I need to install keyless entry first before doing remote start
i mentioned in the video when and how to program the remote. so you would installl the remote start unit first then program the keys. you don;t need a factory keyless option to use this, you can get aftermarket remote like i did as well. the steps to program your vehicle will vary based on year and model. i mentioned this in the video as well.
Is it possible to wire in a push to start button on top of this? And when using the remote start, If you’re cold starting will it give the engine a chance to preheat before turning the starter over?
No, when u press the button to start the truck it was wait like 10-20secs to start

I was looking at the links. Will this work on a 2007 1500 gasser? Also would the remotes replace my current key fob since there is a lock and unlock button. Mine quit working so wondering if i will be able to lock and unlock with the new fob
Yea it will ur install might be a little different though. The aftermarket key fob can replace the oem fob
My bad for all the questions. New to the diesel game. How long have you had this installed? Any issues? The reason I ask is because of voltage variation and resistance. When I installed an aftermarket alarm on my Chevy it was doing all kind of weird stuff. Removed it and still had the issues. Ended up getting rid of the truck, don’t want to this to happen again.
i still have the alarm on from the date of this video and have had zero issues.

They do you will need the fortin evo chrt4 kit though. It's super simple install very similar install like mine. The video I put a link in shows installing on your truck. Go to fortin website and you can input your make and model and they will tell u what kit u need
Question - just bought this kit, did you ever get a plain key made? Does it need to be a chipped key?
I used my plain key and few times the engine would randomly shut off. I believe you have to but not sure entirely. U can call fortin and ask about thag

I can't tell if you just twisted the wires and put electrical tape. If so...I would solder the wires and use heat shrink otherwise you could run into issues
i did a twist cap on it after and crimped.
The 06 and 07 3500 is not plug and play. The purple wire that's connected to the green does not connect to anything. There is a separate wire harness on the other side of the steering wheel where you need to tap in to a couple wires. Took me a while and was going to give up buti kept looking through the diagrams and found the right one where it showed what wire needed to be cut and what ones needed to be spliced and to where. If someone is looking to do this on a 06 and 07 and has questions. Reply here and I'll try to help you the best I can.

I ordered everything in this kit... If any of you begin the update for the flash link updater and it won't move past 1%, it's a faulty unit and you will have to get another one. Don't waste your time trying to fix it, just get another unit.
