Frasier’s melodramatic outbursts are Kelsey Grammer at his finest. The way he bellows “ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MINDDDD???” is side-splitting. In many scenes like this, Grammer really looks like he’s about to spontaneously combust ROFL. Top-notch sitcom acting.
Top notch all the way… Kelsey didn’t waste a single moment, loading up another bloviating blast just before letting it lose all over the studio. Brilliant… every single one of those actors… Just brilliant.
I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL AND I BROUGHT UP THE SUBJECT OF FRASIER AND MY NURSE TOLD ME HE HAD THE ENTIRE SERIES ON DVD I ASKED HIM IF HE REMEMBERED NILES FIRING A STARTERS PISTOL IN FRASIER'S HOUSE AND FRASIER SHOUTING WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!! AND HE RESPONDED "WELL HE DID NOT WANT GUNPLAY IN HIS LIVING ROOM"! WE BOTH KNEW ALL THE LINES 😂 IT HURT TO LAUGH BC I HAD PNEUMONIA BUT WE HAD A LOT TO LAUGH AT
Yeah, the pulse and the pants bit just had me rolling with laughter. It was the perfect touch, and exactly what we had come to expect from Niles. David’s acting is every bit as exquisite as Kelsey’s.
Notice that Niles checks his pulse at 0:18; that, combined with how he jumps onto the coffee table and then the couch (0:14) immediately after, are testaments to David Hyde Pierce's physical comedy chops.
You know a lot of times Frasier's reactions to stuff is over the top and ridiculous, but in this rare case...hes got a point that it is reasonable for one to not want GUNPLAY IN MY LIVING ROOM!
Martin is an interesting character. In 1 episode it's clear politically he's a Republican and in another, this episode, he states he's anti-2nd amendment. Not this scene but when Niles asked to borrow his gun he said he doesn't believe in civilians owning guns.
"I didn't realise it was to much to ask that there not be GUNPLAY in my living room!" - iconic!
Man I am SO glad Paramount + is bringing this back. Funniest show I’ve ever seen
Grammer took that line off the page of the script and ran a marathon with it.
“Morning, Frasier. Just getting up?”
I’m dead 🤣
"JUST GETTING UP?!?!
ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND, A GUN JUST WENT OFF IN HERE!!!"
As a well-dressed Niles daintily steps off Frasier’s suede Coco Chanel replica sofa. 🤣. The timing in this scene was so positively perfect 😂 😭 ☠️
I love cranky Frasier
The way he said "what the hell was that?"
Even Martin who knew it was a fake gun got kind of scared 😂
There's no need to be snippy 😊

Niles checking his pulse and then his pants just kills me.
This show teaches you the rewards of being observational 🤣🤣🤣
I think David Hyde Pierce did thart in real life and they left it in the scene LOL he checked his pants and his chest LOL

LOL! Frasier was always at his funniest when he was cranky and agitated.
Nile's reaction is just comedy perfection. But the whole scene is hysterical. In tears laughing 🤣
"How did she know it wasn't a real gun? It fooled the servants, even the ones who spent years fleeing Juntas"

Oh I'm sorry, was I snippy?
I didn't realize it was too much to ask that there not be gunplay in my living room!
Omg I can’t stop watching this 😂😂
