Kelsey and Bebe are wonderful. It's the rest of the cast that drags the whole thing down to mediocre. I loathe Fredrick's character. Utterly bland and unlikable.
One thing I always loved about Lilith and Fraiser is the way they always cared about each other throughout the prior shows . They called each other for advice about a lot of different things and always expressed that they loved each other.
Yea, I agree, then they say here they can't be in the same room, I don't like that, the last time we saw her on the old show, they were super amicable to each other.
They need to explain how they went from the amicable detente to sniping and ludicrous rivalry. Sure, it's been 20 years, but even these hack writers can throw in a quick "you dedicated an entire episode of your stupid TV show to 'what if you married an ice queen' " or something
It happened on the original show, season ended up showing respect after regretting sleeping together, season 2 they bickering at a holiday resort, where frasier says he can't handle being near her, then bring able to handle having a honest respectful conversation about her getting remarried, then Thanksgiving where they bicker until a truce so they can get Fredrick in a private school. Then next episode when she breaks up with her closeted husband, sleeps with Niles and fraiser is angry. Then they get over it but still bicker on and off. So the reboot for me is consistent - they constantly fluctuate, because their relationship has always being chaotic
Frasier is back in Boston so not only Lilith but most of the Cheers gang could drop by from time to time. I am not sure if Bebe Neuuwirth even wants to be a regular cast member!
She was amazing on Cheers. My favorite episode with her is when the bar got that Karaoke machine. I think that was the episode where Rebecca and Robin were supposed to get married.
My initial feeling was that Lilith was being overly cold (even for her) -- as though nothing at all was was there beneath the surface (contrary to the old Lilith -- where you knew there was a vulnerable person in there somewhere). But by the end of the clip, she was back to being her old, classic self. Nicely done -- and more than a little sad to see them (and of course, us) getting so noticeably older...

To be honest, I've always wanted to see Frasier and Lilith get back together, almost like you want to see your own parents back together. It's just a hopeful feeling 😊
Lilith is great, but better in small doses, her role should be limited to recurring guest star status in order for her to feel special when she is in an episode

Yes! I haven't watched this reboot yet, but after seeing this, I'm ready! I can't get over how both of them are still SO good at what they do, and how they still have such chemistry! Seeing this just now made my night. Thanks for uploading it!
Ran into Bebe Neuwirth 25 years or so back. I lived in San Diego and apparently she was in a theater production at the Old Globe Theater. I saw her sitting outside a small restaurant called Cane’s, she was sitting outside at a small table alone. I looked at her and the reaction back can best be described as arctic.
Yeah, celebrities are like any other wild beast. Best enjoyed from a distance. Preferably with a glass barrier between you. If you have an encounter with one in the wild, don't approach or make eye contact.
@Amp661 that's kind of the joke, most of the time they were talking about Freddy in a platonic matter, but then it comes out like it was a gross matter
It's always great to see Lilith (she's probably my favorite Cheers character) but I was a bit disappointed that she ans Frasier seem to have gone back to where they were at the start of the original series. The they could remain amusingly antagonistic with one another without completely short circuiting family events made for some of the funniest moments of Frasier.
"Lilith? Who looked into a mirror and said your name three times?" "Lilith, if you're here, who's looking after all the children you've lured to your gingerbread house?" That there's some comedy GOLD. Along with, "Of course I know who you are. Now go ahead and welcome us to Jurassic Park." 😂😂😂😂😂
I need these two to get back together by the end of the spin-off! As entertaining as they are as adversaries, they’re WAY more entertaining as a couple. Their love names for each other alone are gold.
As I recall even in “Cheers” they loved to snipe at each other. Definitely was “worst” during “Frasier” but it always done without malice it is part of their relationship.
As Frasier says in the clip that's exactly like "the good old days" - in Cheers their relationship was full of sniping punctuated by moments of pure lust. Here we see them go through the full cycle with each other - same as they always do, it's the reason they aren't ever going to be right for each other. The fundamentals haven't changed, just maybe regressed a bit when Frederick became a drop out firefighter.
I wouldn't say anything happened. They just picked up where they left off or just continued since technically this is us seeing them for the first time in 20 years.
@alphanerd7221 Of course, Frasier didn't exactly shy away from his continued attraction to Nanny G. Had he not spent that episode praising her and kissing her, Lilith might not have cheated. Of course, if she wasn't so cold and clinical he may not have been nostalgic about Nanny G in the first place.
The "we were thinking of your the whole time" reminds me of when Clive came back to Daphne and Frasier said "We've been lying to you the entire time". This reboot probably won't pan out, but that was some classic Frasier stuff.
Yes dear friends: I managed to watch the final episode of Season One, as I was having a MS flare up at the time. Though it was just a bit troublesome to makeout fine detail with one eye..., as I now recall, ...the episode was lovely; a very warm and comforting loveletter of Two great series, and the way everything seemed comfortable, warm, inviting, and even more inviting in some ways as both series could each week, - if that is even possible.. '? Nice..! Second: I so appreciate the way the new series manages to show adults of all ages and backgrounds in this era; ' all living their lives in what presents, as a seamless tapestry of the life of Dr. Frazier Crane, Famiy, and Friends. * Im so very pleased with the continuation of the story. Can't wait to sit, watch, and enjoy my evenings once again as I did in the 90s. ' Good Night Everyone..' ❤❤❤ 😌😉✌️
Yes!! Despite the critics bemoaning this edition of Frasier, "oh it's not like the old one we liked" well it has to get some story arcs down to establish its format. And maybe all the best ideas happened in frasier 90s-2000s, but for what this show is worth it's an above solid better than average, who doesn't want to see how frasiers future pans out?
I was thinking that since Frasier and Freddy share an apartment together they could hire a wise cracking housekeeper like Florence on The Jeffersons or someone like the housekeeper on Two and A Half Men or better yet, the housekeeper could be a blue collar sage like Martin Crane. Imagine having a female version of Martin Crane whose common sense and wisdom could guide Frasier and trumps the follies of his high education!
There are 1 or 2 episodes that brought that old Frasier feeling back. But the show definitely misses Niles and Daphne. I feel like it would’ve been better had they brought the original Freddy actor back for the role and not change his personality so much.
@@noName-kn1lx "lol"? Which part of what you said is funny enough to laugh out loud? I must have missed it. And everyone is entitled to their opinions.
People wonder why do we get emotional watching a sitcom. That's me too getting older. Remember watching Frasier regularly when I was a teen and now I'm 42. These characters become a part of your life. I miss Marty. He's left such a huge hole on that show :-(
Don’t like that they’re presented as people who “can’t be in the same room together “ That’s not how it was in the old Frasier show. Especially towards the end
Omg *Frasier* is back on the screen? First time hearing about this. Sad that his tv dad passed away. 😢 *Cheers, Seinfeld, King Of Queens, Home Improvement, That 70’s Show, Sanford & Son, Moesha, Steve Harvey Show, Friends, Martin, 7th Heaven, Family Matters…* Which favorite sitcom did I forget?
Kelsey Grammer and Bebe Neuwirth are old pros and elevate the material. I don’t like the whole “Frasier and Lilith can’t be in the same room” angle because it doesn’t align with their relationship on the old show. I’d rather just have Freddy say that their bickering drives him nuts and he’d prefer to see them separately. But at least this scene ended with their showing that they still care for each other.
Especially after she slept with Niles that one time. But in Classic Frasier they managed to get past that and remain civil and friendly with each other, even confiding in each other on their personal relationships with other people
Their chemistry as actors is amazing, so many years later. MORE!
They really are perfect in a scene together.
Kelsey and Bebe are wonderful. It's the rest of the cast that drags the whole thing down to mediocre. I loathe Fredrick's character. Utterly bland and unlikable.

The powers of self reflection at work. Not without a few hiccups, though. What a great scene.
Love when the two of you are together I am so glad that you are back
My favorite episode of Cheers was when Lilith elect her hair and and Frazier went nuts.🤭
The writing is exceptional and the interaction is great.
Bebe is still a fox
Their repartee is priceless!
This is really getting into its stride now
They had to rely on an old character returning to get it's stride, huh? I figured
I haven't laughed so hard in quite a long time. Might well bring me back to prime time like nothing else could.
Love Frasier! Keep it up! "I thought we were better than people" missed you!
Impeciable timing and intractable, as always!:)
It's getting good I love Lilith is back she's so funny
I was surprised when I heard about a reboot of this show but love it and love seeing Kelsey Grammer back in his role
My wife and I watched the pilot, it was painful. The lack of talent, poor writing and everything about it. Couldn't wait for it to be over.
Agreed
I concur
Neither aged well
There are 1 or 2 episodes that brought that old Frasier feeling back. But the show definitely misses Niles and Daphne. I feel like it would’ve been better had they brought the original Freddy actor back for the role and not change his personality so much.
Lillith is as beautiful as ever.
Some comments on here about her aging, but I whole-heartedly agree with you!
No shes not lol simp
@@noName-kn1lx "lol"? Which part of what you said is funny enough to laugh out loud? I must have missed it. And everyone is entitled to their opinions.
@@pacnwguy9056 shes a senior citizen shes not as beautiful as ever. Thats just simp silliness
@@noName-kn1lx And that's just your opinion. No more or less relevant than anyone else's.
What the...?? Fraser isn't wearing suits at home anymore?! My 1st 2023 Fraser video. The world has changed beyond recognition.
That poor son! It was really funny though.
I've been pleasantly surprised by the reboot, very well.done
Well that’s certainly how a young man would have his bed, lots of pillows.
The writers have never met people in real life...
No fooling around , I miss all of them !
People wonder why do we get emotional watching a sitcom. That's me too getting older. Remember watching Frasier regularly when I was a teen and now I'm 42. These characters become a part of your life. I miss Marty. He's left such a huge hole on that show :-(
I don’t see them ever getting back together - But they have an amazing love /hate relationship 😂
Don’t like that they’re presented as people who “can’t be in the same room together “
That’s not how it was in the old Frasier show. Especially towards the end
I think she's mellowed over the years 😍
I want this on broadcast television and off some stupid app…. Ughhhh
They didn’t “get back together”, they just hooked up. A common theme for them
Wonderful ! 😃
Yeah, Lilith’s still got it!😏
How much do I love this 😂❤❤❤
That was funny at the end, lol
Lilith is awesome.
I hope they keep Lilith on the show.
The only woman for Fraiser. ❤
Now that's oldskool funny
Very well written
It saddens me that she looks so old. I know it happens but I had the hots for her on CHEERS when she first let her hair down
She’s 65 let it be 🤣
Omg *Frasier* is back on the screen? First time hearing about this. Sad that his tv dad passed away. 😢 *Cheers, Seinfeld, King Of Queens, Home Improvement, That 70’s Show, Sanford & Son, Moesha, Steve Harvey Show, Friends, Martin, 7th Heaven, Family Matters…* Which favorite sitcom did I forget?
Love me some Lilith!! Bebe rocks!!
I LOVE Lilith
TOO SAD TO WATCH.. best keep on enjoying 90's reruns
On the old show they were co-parenting and had to make an effort. Their son is middle aged now.
Especially after she slept with Niles that one time. But in Classic Frasier they managed to get past that and remain civil and friendly with each other, even confiding in each other on their personal relationships with other people
Aww they should get back together I love them. But don’t be so gross about it to Freddy lol
I don’t care for Frederick’s personality in this at all.
Bebe's voice sounds so much weaker. Aging does such a numberon our bodies
I love that the son comes stumbling into his room facing the wall. Was he the best actor they could find?
"I do not like to see, I mean I do." Means it's funny to see you trip and fall. but sad to see you were hurt.
😂😂😂 Great scene!
She made the show for me. 😂😂
