My all time favorite is Licks. So many great memories from many years ago.
Real quality, no doubt. Try Holy Chuck at Yonge and St Clair.
It was LICKS in Scarborough in the 80s.

And what about the old Toby's - yum. You might want to try Holy Chuck at St Clair and Yonge (see my review above.)
I vaguely remembered the one on St Clair near Yonge, Kingston and Midland, and Eglinton by Warden.
I can’t over > $11 for just a burger! Great video, but the takeaway for me is to keep making great homemade burgers at home.

@@batman1169 I start with high-quality medium ground beef. I get ours at Longo’s. I cut a 2 cm high ring off of an old cottage cheese or sour cream container. I take 5.5 ounces of the meat and without over handling it shape it into the plastic ring. Make a small indentation in the middle of one side of the patty . Then immediately before grilling generously coat each side in kosher salt and coarse ground pepper and gently press the salt and pepper into the patty so they won’t just fall off on the grill. Grill and be happy.

I'll be going to the CNE this August and in the past I've come across some places where you were just at. But after watching your video when i'm done with the CNE i'll go check out that burger spot you went to.
Best means there is nothing better, taste is subjective as so many factors are involved such as memory of smells and taste, love of previous foods, culture, quality as great quality has different effects, social aspects crowd effect, and not to mention All the other places that could be better.

Fun . Near burger drops in liberty village . Aloette go! Fresh tasty high quality meat burger . The meat is juicy without saltiness and they fry cheese which tastes like bacon . High end deliciousness for a good price . Best meat in TO .

used to love toby's near yonge/bloor. they used a cheese sauce, and they served it with great, thick fries. always had the cheese sauce over the fries also. miss that place so much.

Still a pretty good burger though, and besides, now I have another option to try.

It’s Burger Drops for me. Consistently good, staff and owners are super friendly. I hit them up every Christmas and even a few times throughout the year even I live in Markham. Good video

Been to Burger Drops a couple of times,
I prefer elsewhere. somewhere cheaper, where they serve meat with taste and not paste on a bun.
Ozzy's is ok, another super expensive burger joint, you''ve have had better and you've had worse elsewhere.
Never been to Cabanno's, and your review saves me a trip.
Try Woody's in Long branch, Toronto's west end, depends who is in the kitchen but always an edible burger.
I always order a banquet burger when trying a new joint: single patty, always on an untoasted bun, with cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, relish and onion.
Apples to apples comparison.
Hate the joints that try to pass off stale buns that they toast up.
Store was empty and it took 15min?!
I have lived 20 yr Toronto Danforth and failed to try Square Boy, omg. I feel shame, lol, Johnny and I think also our friend Ken, as well Henry reminds me to get out my " square " boi....best , and love to the community.

That looks like something I’ll definitely try to do, and if I had to say my favourite burger place, not tough decisions all at a high ranking because I don’t think it will be terrible, but it won’t exactly be a perfect 10 at all when it comes to the taste of which place of the burgers I like more…
It's been a while since I lived in the city. My favorite back then was P&L (Parts and Labour)....haven't been there in years

Last week I had the Classic burger at Ozzy’s and it was fantastic. It hit the spot. 6 oz Burger was juicy, not salty. Definitely will go there again and will tell friends about having an Ozzy burger 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

You must try The Real McCoy’s MOJO burger at 3300 Lawrence Ave East. The best in Toronto. Outside of Toronto (off the 401 and Wooler Road, 22233 Loyalist Parkway there is a burger place called The Steak Machine. Simply perfection on a bun and great fries.

Funnily enough, many that I spoke to preferred the classic single over the cabanos classic and since I was looking for the best burger overall I went off of what people recommended. If I receive a lot of feedback about the Cabanos Classic I may revisit. Appreciate your feedback😊
