  • I love my Widewheel pro CLE and enjoy using it. I made this video for people thinking of getting the Mercane electric scooter as the not so good things about it. I hope Mercane Widewheel Pro will also consider this feedback in their next widewheel escooter

    This is my first scooter and I absolutely love it upgraded the rear brake with x tech hb100 and got a throttle upgrade off eBay. My only complaint is not being able to take it on rougher terrains but I’m gonna save up over the next couple months for a Vsett 10+ , but this thing is great on hills suprisingly great.

    I would also like to add that pneumatic tires (air filled) would be better...it’s not just taxing on he suspension on bumpy terrain but turns are hairy and it will put you down...

      @@scooterboy148 I upgraded, speed control is awesome because that lever travels further, no more jerking from the motors. Because of that, I find it straining my wrist and uncomfortable hand position during slow speeds, because your thumb is extended out instead of a resting or comfortable position. Maybe it's just me.

      Thanks scoot, yeah in this weather it’s pretty dodgy when icy and wet. Also issue I have is that I go out most days in the dark with my light at the moment. The video doesn’t record well in the dark obviously. :-( in summer I will.

      @@ScootLetsGo I’m just in a small town in Berkshire. I don’t think there would be an issue with police but I can’t risk it with points on driving license. That’s why when I go out I go either after 9pm around town or (as per my 2 riding videos) I get up early in summer on a Sunday and ride around the country! That’s super fun! Do you ever have any issue with police?

    • @bumboybandit
      @bumboybandit Před 3 lety +2

      I don't know, I just leave mine in ludicrous mode, but to get better range and tbh 18/20mph in cycle lanes with cyclists bit too fast anyway I leave in eco mode. Power mode unrestricted is purely for fun well away from other people

  • @jungled27
    @jungled27 Před 3 lety +1

    Hello, I also bought one. My scooter will emit low-frequency noise similar to helicopter propellers in the speed range of 26-29 km/h, which is at the highest speed in the eco mode. Does your scooter have this problem?

  • @cycaboose
    @cycaboose Před 3 lety +2

    One issue you didn't mention is the rear mudguard is completely useless in the rain, it will spray water on your ass and back, oddly they never changed this in the 3 revisions. I see you have added a flap to your mudguard, I did with mine too, it's not as attractive but does the job... The mudguard should do its job out of the box and not require an aftermarket accessory IMO

    • @bumboybandit
      @bumboybandit Před 3 lety

      Not recommended for rain use. I tried on seafront cycle lane and got completely covered in sandy water. Took battery cover off and made sure internals were dry, no leaks but had to check and clean seals. Yeah, mudguard tho, its there for looks only. Might look good stripped out

    • @scooterboy148
      @scooterboy148  Před 3 lety +3

      I heard of quite a few people with this issue on CZcams. Think it might be the motor. If it’s under warranty send it back to be repaired? I had a noise also a while back but found a paper clip stuck into the tyre that was making the noise. Maybe then just check you don’t have anything stuck? But if the noise is coming from inside the wheel it will be the motor

    • @scooterboy148
      @scooterboy148  Před 3 lety

      @@pcarts232 I don’t know but I have seen a few videos that have that issue. It’s probably a dodgy motor batch not your fault but they will change it if it’s new so just the hassle of shipping for you. Does it sound like this video? czcams.com/video/RFeKl6FXzPg/video.html ? If you read his comments he says it’s the motor that’s broken. Maybe try propping the scooter up on something then run it stationary. Then you can see if both wheels are moving(which they should) but also get a closer listen to the wheel noise. The motor is in the wheel itself so if the noise is coming from inside, it’s the motor defo.

    The wheels/tires are the weak link in this scooter. Terrible design that's almost guaranteed to crack when you go up a curb or hit a small pot hole. I had two of my happiest days with this scooter. The day I got it and the day I sold it.
