Spartans don't need a suit of armor to take on other Humans, they're already stronger and faster than their kin, even unaugmented, the augmentations just increased that power and then Mjolnir amplified that strength by a multiple of five, with that said, Brutes don't need powered exoskeletons to take on others within their species either, the UNSC created their armor with intention of making a small army that could replace hundreds of armies because there was infighting within their species that would cause massive casualties, perhaps the Banished or maybe even the Brutes in general had a similar idea.

The games can't give accurate representation of the lore because it would make playing the game with actual lore realism very unpleasant to play.
For example, plasma would actually melt through flesh and armor, yet if we did that in game, everyone would practically die to one plasma bolt and if the Covenant were interpreted correctly in game, it would be like playing on legendary times ten.
Read some novels and watch some visual media, you'll understand very well how brutal the Human Covenant War really was and in some instances how gruesome the Insurrectionist Wars were.

couple of issues, the hydraulic press was making the titanium fail in shear, since the titanium was being compressing across both sides of the vertical axis (had to squeeze out the sides basically) atriox squeezed a hollow shaped helmet, making it fail in bending, which is much easier to do (think why bridges collapse and the ramps leading to them don't). since the dimensions of the helmet are fairly small (lever arms of less than a meter) and stiff material, we can approximate a pressure vessels failure, which is about half that of the shear failure of a press. this extrapolates out pretty easy from here, 5x instead of 10x for force multiplied by the power armor. also seems much more realistic, 10x would be in the strength range of a cyclops, and the brutes would just steamroll the damn storyline

Real-life apes are actually considerably stronger pound for pound than real life humans. A chimpanzee for example is still a lot stronger than a human at weight parity. Or, for another comparison, Hafthor Bjornsson (the champion strongman who played the mountain in Game of Thrones), is probably only about a third or half as strong as an average silverback gorilla, though they weigh about the same. It's hard to measure gorillas' strength, but they're known to manipulate logs weighing hundreds of pounds with one arm (and it doesn't look like they're having any trouble either), whereas Bjornsson can bench press 900lbs.
For example, Halfthor is lifting 284 lbs here:
    czcams.com/video/hNu3W96oui4/video.html
Whereas, assuming this log is 1 ft in diameter, roughly 7 feet long, and roughly as dense as oak, then it probably weighs about the same as Bjornsson's dumbbell (a lot depends on the density of the wood but whatever):
    czcams.com/video/rf_4OxdrUkE/video.html
    3.14 x (.5)^2 x 7 x 50 = 274 lbs
It's not the best comparison, but the gorilla is clearly not having as much trouble as the human. I mean, that silverback makes that log look like it's made of styrofoam. Later on in the video, the gorilla jumps about 3 feet into the air. In other words, he launches his body weight (~450 lbs) approximately 3 feet into the air with just his hind legs. Most humans can only jump 1-2 feet vertically, probably including Bjornsson. And gorillas' arms are stronger than their legs, whereas humans' legs are stronger than their arms.
Here's Bjornsson handling 470 lbs with his arms:
    czcams.com/video/eUB8F03pAjM/video.html
Anyway, it's interesting to read about. My headcanon has always been that part of the Spartan augmentation process involved making their muscle tissues more like that of other primates.

Hey Installation 00 can you talk about all the Banished Vehicles alongside Banished Weaponary

  • @notareptilianiswear.6600

I never considered Atriox was wearing a powered exoskeleton. I primarily attributed the damage he did to Douglas to his prosthetic hand.

    just a theory. several actually.
Does Atriox have a prosthetic right arm? his right arm seemed too mechanical to have been an exoskeleton glove.
Banished power armor have a strength multiplier of 10. Early Spartan power armor had a strength multiplier of 10, Atriox and the Banished have hunted Spartans prior to meeting Red Team in Halo Wars 2, did the Banish scavenge Spartan power armor from defeated UNSC forces? The Banished do have Huragok Engineers who have been known to tinker with technologies of other races, what if Atriox had directed an engineer to scavenge the armor off dead Spartans, and grafted it to himself and his senior commanders, the high chieftians getting the limited but still effective Gen 2 armor segments.
Being powerful already they'd not necessarily need the bio-augmentations that UNSC Spartans needed to utilize the armor system, so the only thing they'd have to do is adjust the bodysuits and armor plates to fit the bodies of the Brutes, customizing them to fit the user's personal fighting styles. Decimus and Vorodus' s personal armors being key examples.

It does look like he has a artificial arm or hand.
He does stop a plasma sword with his bare hand in one cutscene, so maybe he loses it or weakened so much to be replaced by a high powered hydraulic prosthetic

    • @StacheMan26
      @StacheMan26 Před 4 lety +2

No, they are not stupid at all. Natural tendency towards aggression and impulsiveness aside, they mostly look stupid because the hierarchical caste structure of the Covenant did everything in its power to make them look stupid. Up until Truth the Prophets weren't exactly willing to trust a species that had knocked itself back from the stars with their fanciest toys. And, although few of them would admit it, the Elites did everything in their power to bar the brutes from accessing the regular fancy toys and attaining posts of great responsibility over more than their own race, throwing them into the grinder repeatedly with inadequate equipment and leadership because they feared that such a physically imposing species, if properly outfitted and led could be a threat to their status within the Covenant. It's amazing how right they turned out to be on that.

When Brutes start rolling up with power armour on normal Marines, the UNSC is gonna start rolling out S4s like a factory on steroids. S4 will become something like cannon fodder while S5 will be special ops. These will consist of unique S4s and new S5s that show promise. S5s will go through further surgeries to come up in strength to S4s. ODSTs will merge with the new Spartan Program and call it a day. S6 will be what your proposed S5s' were. By that time hopefully, THE MASTER-CHIEF would have passed on the beacon to us the player an S4.

Personally, I'd guess that gameplay wise a Brute in a powered exoskeleton to be most analogous to a Hunter, who are already largely immune to small arms fire aside from their weak spots and able to throw around heavy equipment with a good bash. Perhaps they'd be able to sub in for a full pair of Hunters, depending on their speed and the weaponry they're packing.

and we never see just how powerfull the banished truly are
that being said an alliance is not unlikely
    P.S.
anyone else here feel that games never really make it matter, I mean when the elites fought alongside john in halo 3 it hardly made a difference at all, they just became more canon fodder, same for the marines really, they always turn from a major treath as enemies , usually due to their numbers to hardly a factor as allies, more symbolic than anything else, it would be fun to actually end up in a massive battle where those numbers play a significant role and are seen playing a role

As for crushing the armor prove that it was not a power armor assisted effort. The average soldier can deadlift 180 to 340lbs or 81.6 to 154.2 Kg. And this is required to be lifted in 3 reps . Meaning the average soldier can deadlift 260 lbs or 117.9 kg.
