Can’t believe those old Eastons are better than the new ones. You could say the b5 is trash and it’s not the best but I really think old Eastons were ahead of the curb
exactly bro. Not that the B5 sucks - the early Easton BBCORs were just very, very good. I remember playing a UCLA lineup full of Makos and an Oregon lineup full of S1's back in the day and it was NOT fun.

Finally, some bats from my time playing ball. Those old Easton s1 to s3/XL1 to XL3 were some of the best bats during those early bbcor days
@@mcdouble1560 the orange mako was quite possibly the best bbcor easton has ever made. the s1 had some durability issues with the connector piece

I swung the 2013 XL 1 Comp in college. We called it the yellow lightsaber. I really enjoyed it. Large, forgiving sweet spot and had some juice for a comp when really squared up. It would be cool if you guys could find one to review. Keep up the vids!

That B5 just reeked of gimmick when it came out. Everyone saying “the green Easton is back” when nobody even knew what the green Easton was lol
In he early to mid-80's the green Easton bat was by far the most popular bat on the market. It's the only one that I ever used, think they were drop 4 back then (33/29)

Now I’m not over 20 but my dad used the green Easton in high school and college. I want to but the B5 and go to the same college just because he was a great player and a good role model.
Man I bought an XL3 for $90 in high school and it still is, to this day, the best bat I ever swung. Straight endloaded juice

The new Easton has the same paint scheme as the Easton I used playing Senior LL almost 30 years ago. I love that they brought it back.
back in the early to mid 80's, Easton had the B5P. It was bare aluminum with a bead blasted finish. The logo was two long stripes of either red, blue or green. You could hold the bat over the plate and get the ball over the infield if you had fast pitcher. LOL I LOVED that bat. Probably mangled a bunch of pitchers I am sure, but good lord, you could hit the ball a mile with that stick.
I remember having this xl3 in a drop 10 and loved it so much I bought for bbcor in middle school!! The xl3 was so good. wonder if I can still find my two.
Only reason I changed was too the mako but ended up going back to the xl3 until demarini got good. Then the voodoos all the way 🤤
I remember just switching to bbcor and I got this bat and I thought I was Babe Ruth. Lol

Alright I loved my Easton Beast X Loaded, not sure I can use it in college this year cause the barrel is half white. Wanting a new one, preferably under/ around $200 for a 34 any specific recommendations?
I remember I had the s1 at 31 inch for fast pitchers then I had the xl3 at 32 inch for my preferred hitting and then if I wanted tanks I brought out my mako at 33 inch and I loved that xl3 hit 5 home runs in 6 plate appearances
LOVE the old Easton bats! XL, S, Mako.....black and orange line was the last hot line IMO.
I remember I had the S1 and even though I was in Little League it is still my favorite bat to this day.

It looked like you all were hitting better or more HR's with the silver bat. Can you do a comparison with the old school Easton Reflex Extended BRX5E and the Easton Redline BZ8-C or the Easton Z-Core Redline SC500 BZ3-Z. It would make for a fun video cause those bats were dangerously hot and had major pop. It would be fun to watch you all ripping with them bats from the late 90's to early 2000's!

Will, I have a 1979 or 1980 B5 it would be awesome to do a really old B5 VS BBCOR. Have to say I hit one 300 feet with the old B5 out of my hand doing fly balls with my son a few days ago. I'm old and slow and it wasn't a great swing. It would be interesting to see if it could hit some tanks. I used a B5in one game in Connie Mack league. YES I'm old. Hit a line drive off a 330' fence and a 340' foul ball. Let me know if you want to hit with the old B5. I was told it was not legal the next AB.

I played in a tourney sponsored by Easton a month or so ago and we were given the green Easton and I used it 4 times and walked 4 times on 16 pitches. Literally didn’t get it off my shoulder all day haha
the composite xl1 yellow composite was crazy too
You guys should try the -5 xl1 and xl3 2015 model. They were the bright orange bats and absolutely juiced

YALL SHOULD DO AN OLD EASTON MAKO VS NEW BATS, I had a USSSA Green Easton Mako and I had like a .77 batting average my first all star season with it because you could poke the ball wherever just as long as you touched the ball
Try out the Anderson nanotek BBcor. The bat was very interesting. Definitely for power hitters
Hit with the white beast x hybrid from 2018. I've heard that it's absolutely gas. Heston kjerstad swung it in college before the maxum
the 2014 easton xl3 is the bat that easton colleges love the most. I have a 32, 33, and 34 because i love the bat so much. I also have a 2015 xl1 (the all orange bat) and it hits nukes
What condition are your XL3’s in for 33 inch and 34 inch?

That b5 is a throwback design to the way back first gen alloy bats. I used to rock that triple 7 back in college.
I remember having an Easton bat like that in Legion baseball in the late 90s (looks-wise anyway)

Just picked up a XL2 for my 14u son. He has been swinging a 31 S1 for a year now and its gas but moving to the 32 XL2 as he likes a 2 piece way better and has grown and can handle it... got it for 40 bucks on sideline swap
My first home run bat (in game) was the 2019 -10 CF zen

Second one was the same bat, left center all around 200, into the trees, trees were 231.6 feet away, so estimating it was 240+
Third was same bat, 295 center, and I HIT A DUDE watching another game 😂😂😂 THATS the homerun I will never forget

I have the b5 in a 32 inch. Im going into 8th grade and i really love it. The problem is that you need to be strong to use the bat. Ive been usi g it for one whole year and this past summer i got 22 hits with a .667 BA on my 14u team. Im not even 14. Im younger. Im the best on my team and im the smallest. The best catcher and infielder. Not the best pitcher or outfielder because of my size and speed but i can still play those positions very well. I would recommend the bat to anyone that can handle the weight. I love the bat
