I was wondering, My 2070 max q got a audible coil whine. I replaced it 3 times already, but still got un coil whine sound. When you review, you unit got a same issue or not?
Is the battery area (palm rest) warm to the touch? I was looking at the 2060 version in a shop (fresh out of the box) and it was warm on the palm rest. The fans were idle.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you wouldn't need to hit SHIFT with the question mark as it's at the bottom of the button? SHIFT would activate FORWARD SLASH?

Why would you need a wireless dongle for your mouse? Doesn't the laptop have built-in bluetooth?

Runs way quieter under load. I can usually set the fans to the minimum 4000rpm under gaming mode and temps are still not touching 100.
There’s a trick I found where if you set it to balanced mode, you can lower the fans even further to 3500rpm and then use MSI afterburner to manually overclock the graphics to around 2000MHz. For most games temps are still fine, but not for super demanding games like shadow of the tomb raider where it’ll hammer you with an 80% CPU and 100% GPU load.
On the 2060 version running on balanced I found the fan noise to be good and during regular applications it was close to non-existent.
I need some help. I bought this laptop and it works GREAT. The issue I have (very small) is the Synapse Chroma. I Tried to change the keyboard lighting to wave (Shown in your video) and it does not do the same effect as yours. Mine goes from one color to the next (All keys). If anyone can help me with this issue, please reply! I would really appreciate it!
TheMaster 1 if you have the base model it can not do effects like that unless it is the advanced model

I got like dust into the speaker grills on the razer blade 15 and it is a pain the ass to get them out is there anyway to get them out, I have tried with brushes but they are no help
How come your RB15's keyboard rgb doesn't bleed from the corner of the buttons? Mine is RZ09-03009E21 and the keyboard rgb lights bleed from the key corners.
You got the "Base Model." This is the Advance Model. I know the base model can only do one color at a time, so I'm guessing they just use one massive LED sheet which is why you see a lot more spill

it leaves marks but it’s easy to clean. You can get a cover if you want.

Lord Phantomhive The aluminium feels the same to my MacBook, there’s a tiny amount of flexibility on the back of the screen but it doesn’t really bother me.
You can skin it or get the Mercury White version which is an additional $50 but you will spend that amount on a good skin anyhow so the Mercury White becomes a wash.

Does the shift key bother you? I’ve been patiently waiting for the 2020 base blade with the gen 10 i7 but with the virus who knows. But Razer has this blade Advanced for cheaper with the 9th gen and the shit key not corrected.
did the 2019 edition is still a nightmare of struggling with the customer service to get a working unit? and have all the previous quality control issues?

I don't know if this is still relevant, but I've been using my -19 advanced blade with same specs as in this video for the last 3 months without any issues.
What do you mean by hinge is the part of screen assembly? And what is the difference in the hinges of the Base and Advanced version ?

Im thinking about selling my old pc and buying the 2080 edition or the 4k 2070 edition for a portable work station for my 3d modeling and art but aldo gaming at home (gonna hook it up to my 2 monitors and perriferals) do you guys think this would be a good idea? I want the portibility to work at school and in public places but the power to play games.

The answer is..no. A standard 2.5" drive won't fit. I got the Razer Pro 17 2019, it has 2 m.2 NVME slots - use a Samsung 970 (2Tb max per slot)

Hi guys! I've got a Razer Blade 15 with rtx 2080 max q and I've got problem with the brightness of a screen. I don't know why, but it's too dark even with brightness settings at max. Please, if someone knows where is the problem, help me.
All i can think of is go to settings>display>disable automatically adjust brightness (if it's there). 4K screen might be different but 1080p screen is fine so definitely software thing.

It varies for every unit but from what I've seen it's pretty minor
I got this at Best Buy with 3yr service plan. Saved due to sale and open box, ditched Mac to go back to PC, not for gaming but photo editing. It’s awesome!

My thoughts exactly. The professional buyers, who need 4k and who just want good gaming on the side with an external gaming monitor, also want the more toned down looks of the Mercury white, and can't get it! Now the question is how I can cover up the glowing 3 headed snake on my laptop without ruining the clean look of it.
@@skijunkie09 I ended up buying the 4K the on to real way to keep it looking fresh is to get a Dbrand skin that matches the color of the body.

What about performance with VR headsets?
With it's great graphics card and cpu it will handle VR at max settings very well. Unless if you are using the pimax, then you should run it on average settings.

I have a 512GB Samsung PM981 in my Dell XPS 15 9570. I'm running Windows 10 1809 with AHCI. Except for the Sequential benchmarks all other scores are exactly half of what the guy in this video is getting. Could anyone help me in achieving faster speeds?
The more filled up your SSD is, the slower it will be, but it won't be much of a difference.

Actually, it's possible. Razer will probably be updating the Blade when the new 9th gen CPUs drop and they pretty much always do a couple hundred bucks off right before the new ones launch. 9th gen CPUs should launch in Q2

twiz1996 as an owner of both I’d say they’re both good. A laptop is obviously portable, but if it doesn’t need to be then a PC is more cost effective and personal
Beware CPU overheating an issue (again), 100degrees with some crashing. xtu undervolt resolves but disappointing it doesn't cool adequately out of the box. GPU ok, 76 degrees max I've seen even in gaming mode (rtx 2070 model). UK (non-US) version buyers NOTE: the secondary function keys do not light up as they were supposed to on the 2019 advanced as advertised, very disappointing to not roll out to all markets. Also there are no drivers available on the Razer website and their support confirmed to me 'they're still working on it', again not great as I have to rely on windows update for drivers and can't tell if crashing not helped by incorrect drivers. I'm deciding at the moment whether to return to amazon based on all of these issues (but the rest of the machine is great which is why the hesitation).

I’ve seen a lot of claims about QC and QA problems. Loud coil whine, bulging batteries 6 months in, backlight bleed etc. I’d love to get it even at this price, but not for something that needs to be replaced every 6 months because a part has gone bad

That display ribbon cable has a similar construction to the Macbook pro 15 retina which shows issue with the cable malfunctioning over time from opening and closing the lid. Kinda makes me worry for the reliability of this laptop in the long run.
Also the number sin your review are off. This laptop cannot hold its boost clock at all because of throttling, yet you claim that it is only 79c on CPU?!?!?!
Forgot to clarify that fans were always on max when thermal testing. 79c was the peak temp with fans on max, or you can drop it to 4000rpm where the fans are much quieter and run it in the 80's

For RTX Cards I am seeing the follow differences in 3DMark - Time Spy Benchmarks: Razer Blade Advanced RTX 2060; Alienware m17 RTX 2070MQ; MSI GS75 RTX 2080 MQ;
2060 - 5564
2070 - 6653
2080 - 7123
The biggest jump in performance is going from a 2060 to a 2070. Going from a 2070 to a 2080 seems to have diminishing returns and doesn't seem worth the cost. I ran all systems on Balanced and updated them all to the Nvidia Version 418.91. This spread is seen in most of the benchmarks I have run.

the rtx 2080 non mobile is 98% faster than the gtx 1070. In terms of graphics performance and fps , taking into account the tdp limit of a max q, 60% feels like a conservative estimate.
The 60 percent is right depending on what cards you compare to eachother. So it's kinda right.

Man I have been seeing you since 2k subs but I want to know is this video sponsered or you borrowed the laptop from a friend?
None of my videos up to this point have been sponsored. By sponsor I mean I've never been sent anything by a company and I have never been paid or compensated in any way for reviewing or mentioning a product. Every time a company hits me up for a free review unit of something, I always ask for flagship phones and laptops, and obviously that doesn't happen because I have too few subscribers I guess.
I get all the products I review from either family, friends, purchased myself and maybe re-sold to recover some losses, and viewers might send stuff they own in for review. Phones and MacBooks are super easy because lots of people own those kinds of products. Not a fan of sharing my secrets if I'm being honest so I left some other methods out but if I get sent something for free, or I'm paid, it'll be written very clearly in the description at the very least. This limits me a LOT in terms of what products I can review, like nobody I know owns a OnePlus 6T so didn't get to review that, but the benefit is that I don't feel the urge to say good things because I wasn't helped out by the company that made the product right.

90-110 fps at max settings 1080p
They are undervolted by -100mV out of factory. Which causes to run cooler on load. but i believe no changes on thermal hardwares. Who's with me?
I checked mine and it didn’t have undervolt applied stock. It does now 🤫. Strangely the 2070 GPU in it runs at 1750Mhz, which is way above even the desktop card, no idea how that happens.

I like the Razer Blade more. Thermals are better on the MSI but otherwise Blade feels nicer to use overall. It’s a couple hundred bucks more expensive than the GS65 tho

As for the interior, RIP. You can wipe the laptop down but you can’t make it resistant to oils if that’s what you’re asking. I guess a tip is if you’re wearing a coat, have the sleeve cover your palm so that your palm doesn’t touch the laptop and get oil on it.

Jus search online there are prenty alot of stickers for both interior n exterior sides...those transparent or colored stickers to prevent seeing fingerprints or oily palms

I found an open-box (user manual missing) GTX-280Q 512GB SSD 240HZ for $1600 at one of the Best Buys in my area. Retail was $2,999 new. I was considering Alienware, but I had to grab that deal.
The only thing I wish this computer had was 1TB SSD. When laptops are released with 4K 240HZ screens I'll upgrade from this Razer.
