He also tries not to move as much as possible because moving takes up oxygen in the blood and also more than half his tricks are not illusions they are real like when he puts knives or better known as ice picks in his hands and doesnt bleed is because he puts it in a very specific spot where no blood vessels are punctured or hit which is why there is no blood. Theres even a video of a doctor taking an x-ray of his hand with an ice pick in it and it shows the metal through his hand

They didn't explain why we can't see the exhale bubbles....I think the reason for that is because his head is actually breaking the surface and exhale air is traveling behind his mask to the top of his head, exiting without making bubbles.

David Blaine can legit hold his breath for a long time. He doesn't fake these. If you watch his videos, there are two of them, one where he lasts 5 minutes and one where he lasts 17 minutes. The 5 minute one, he is bare chested and clearly not wearing anything that could conceal a tube. Also, the spasms are real and his face is blue at the end of it. The 17 minute long one was legit and was officiated by guinness world records. Also, the reason why he was able to hold for 17 minutes is because he was on 100% oxygen for 30 minutes prior to the attempt. Lots of people have surpassed 20 minutes using 100% oxygen.

I do that under water all the time, the bubbles come out of my mouth because sometimes when you cant breath enough you have to do it since when you take deep breathes before going underwater for a long time it helps to get the bubbles out of your nose underwater beacuse it will help you stay longer

David Blaine is a magician claiming to be the real deal. his whole goal is to convince people that what he does is real and not a trick. he'll have you believe he can actually catch a bullet in his teeth.
Anyway the narrator at the beginning of the explanation mentions that this trick is also done by people without masks using smaller tubes that can't be seen underwater and behind glass, which anyone that has ever put a clear marble underwater will tell you is a real effect
