Being 12 hours/day in the ice block is still pretty impressive.
David Blaine was in a ice block for 63 hours and didn't use a body double.

@@mr.productive6782 Blane is more of an extreme endurance athlete than a magician. He has done some crazier stuff than standing in ice for 63 hours.

This episode is quite rare and was a one off special that aired on FOX in 2002. It was done with the hope of a revival of the original series that aired four years earlier in 1998. Kind of crazy that it took a whole 6 years after this episode was filmed until it got the proper extended new series that it deserved. I like the magician in this episode, I think he looks way more creepier here. I wonder who played the magician in this special.
I was gonna say I like the way this magician looks and how he moves and the whole way this is done being reminiscent of 2000’s professional wrestling, seeing your username it makes sense why you like it too
@@DiXtionRap Yes i really liked the presentation of the magician in this particular episode. If you are familiar with The Undertaker, i believe they took alot of inspiration from his whole look for the magician here.

lolitaneki because it's a remake of something that actually happened in the past, they're just demonstrating how the actual illusion was done. the real one was recorded live for the whole week

Nice, let me grab a drink and give you this opportunity to prove that's not a wig, and that it is inconceivable in all parallel universes that the magician could not possibly be wearing a wig, and is therefore (on this point alone) not Val Valentino. If you could use parenthetical citation in your peer-reviewed dissertation, we'd all appreciate it. Makes checking sources far easier.

Another thing they don't tell you (obviously) is the length of time the magician and his double are in the ice can be greatly exaggerated due to it being a televised stunt. For all we know they could've been in there 20 minutes and edited it to look like days
Well, except I think it's a public display. That's why they have the television set up, so the passersby can "watch" the magician in his ice chamber.
