I'm DIY'er. When I decided to do my own maintenance on my cars, I invested in Ingersoll Rand air impact wrenches and ratchets. Craftsman regular and impact sockets. Gearwrench ratchet wrenches, torque wrenches, and box wrench sets. I have had them for over 10 years and not one tool has failed after many brake jobs, oil changes, exhaust work, engine and suspension mounts. Great advice. Great video. Cheers.
I like this idea a lot! He keeps it real when it comes to overpriced and over featured products. I feel like code readers are one of the most notorious for jam packing features into a tool that may not need it.
Not to hate but snap on screwdrivers are outstanding broken icon gearwrench Cornwall duralast husky craftsman and Milwaukee all before the snap on break.. hammers I get as well I think most sockets and wrenches if you aren’t a professional get whatever if you are and you beat on them put them to work and can’t just swing by a store to warranty mid job then tool truck brands “professional tools” are worth it in my opinion you absolutely pay well over the odds though there is no doubt about that but I can go to any snap on truck and get a tool warrantied
As I grow and get better, I'm appreciating more and more the higher quality and more expensive tools for what I use on a regular basis (wrenches, sockets, ratchets, etc). Overall, higher quality, neat features (e.g. chamfered edges on sockets for better grip), and more durability. On specialty tools and ones I seldom use, I'll get the cheaper stuff since there's less chance of it breaking due to infrequent use. As of late, I've been investing on the ICON line. Very happy with them.
Very, very long ago I made money on a side by repairing electronics, mostly computers. Saving money on precision screwdrivers bites you in the rear, if you strip a screw then removing it from under a board is beyond difficult.
That's strange your breaking icon extensions. Maybe your buying the cheap stuff from Harbor Freight. My service truck is loaded with Icon tools and haven't had any issues.
I agree on the screw drivers no need to spend 100+ when they all do the same thing. And me personally pretty much use impact sockets theres no need to really use chrome
I just switched all my wrenches out in my service truck with icon. For the money I'm liking them so far. Spent around $1600 after using a bunch of 25% coupons lol. All my sockets are Sunex because the blow molded case's. Wish icon would sell impact sockets in blow molded.
Neither endless its a stupid deal. I own a few snapon things I got second hand but had to but their new shrader needle nose pliers. Yes, they make nice tools but you can buy alot more of other brands that compete for way cheaper. Nobody wants to loose a $100 socket in the customer's yard.
Project Farm is a wealth of information! Cannot fault Todd. Great fella.

You mean I don’t need to sell my house to buy snap-on tools to fix my cars.?
So I've actually searched auto parts stores dumpsters and have scored some perfectly good tools.
Thanks, nice well rounded selection of tools to use and cost savings tips!!
Please do one on scan tools? Love your advice! Thank you

BOOM! Nice

When you work on other people's cars, it makes NO sense to use the best tools.
How much was that giant impact drill you always use?
I paid $250 or so for it a few years ago
I’m a fan of air hammers, that’s a tool I wouldn’t mind spending a little more than average on
milwaukee lithium tools.
I would get the hyper tough pry bar but they don't come with a lifetime warranty 👎
good to know!
50$ 🪛 😬. i still have my american made craftsmen sets from the early 90,s i do have some kobolt flex head wrenches and milluakke impact guns. 👍
I buy icon at harbor freight

Comment for the algorithm!
Mac or snap on ?
If i had to chose one. I would probably pick snap on.
