Record-setting crowd packs Rose Bowl for fireworks, El Tráfico showdown

Joy Benedict reports from Pasadena, where she spoke with just a few of the many people at the Rose Bowl for the 4th of July on Tuesday. While a record-setting crowd of MLS fans filled the stadium, plenty of others waited outside to fulfill their annual tradition of watching fireworks over the iconic setting.

This is a flat out lie. I was in the Verdugo Mountains until 11pm watching fireworks across the LA valley. There were no fireworks at Rose Bowl unless it was after 11pm.

There were fireworks there. The organizers decided to flash a “move to the golf course if you’re in these sections” maybe 4 minutes before the show started. How in TF were we supposed to get out of the Rose Bowl in such a short time. Anyways, there were fireworks. Not sure what time they started but they were still going at 10:08pm.
