- Escape From Pompeii Boat Ride at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. I didn't dress this one up - this was my second ever theme park ride, so I felt it should be preserved. Thank you Jeff Tiedemann for helping me relive the memory.

One of my favorite rides and it also made the city of Pompeii one of my favorite cities in italy
i love this ride! i felt the urge to go on it because my friend is in virginia and i thought id go onto youtube. I love the music it really adds to the atmosphere. nice job filming. i could actually feel the heat from when i rode the ride like five years ago!!

I rode it in 2002. It's Great.
It gets hot in there but the best part is of course the drop.
I completely forgot what it looked like inside! all i remembered was fire on the walls and at the end some guy falling..I was terrified! lol!
On my first time riding Pompeii and once inside the building & the fire began everywhere(including the water!), I thought I had been a bad boy and was in that "other place"(hell)-lol. Only once or twice when I rode it there was some technical problems with the large statue not falling over like it was supposed to. Oh well- ride was made by humans.
so far thqat myfavoirite one and the wood log thing i love it and my grandma lost her hat on the log one hahha

Busch Gardens still has this ride?? I got on this ride when I was in the 10th grade, many years ago; I'm surprise its still there. I recently visited a Pompeii exibit at the Discovery Place in Charlotte, NC. The tragedy of the volcano explosion was very devastating.
Still here in 2021, just rode it today
This ride is cool for the special effects. But the drop is kinda small. But still a good ride.
A lady stood up!? Was she out of her mind? Stand up on something like that? Thats crazy.
@Enivekdax17 I've since found one of them (Montagues and Capulets by Prokofiev--one of the songs outside); however, for the one that plays inside I'm still at a loss.
The overall concept of the ride was interesting, but I thought it was kinda boring. I like the video though. good times!

I have been searching the Interwebs for years trying to find out the names of the ride's songs (inside AND outside).
Anyone have any idea, short of me going down and asking the operator myself?

How do you guys ever get a camera on there?
Aren't you afraid of getting it wet? Or losing it?
I would do it, but I don't know how to protect the camera in this situation.
i sat in the front and you get very wet. but it drys fast ;D

I hate this ride! been on it twice... the drop is lame because you go down and then... it's over.
Why? It's not scary at all.
