I love the OLF. Furthest flying fairway driver I’ve ever thrown. The standard plastic is nice for backhands, they’re a touch flippy but they bomb. Need to try the quantum

Millennium is so underrated. Been bagging an Orion LS for about a year now, and it’s the perfect dead straight workable 9 speed. Flips up perfectly, such a fun disc. It feels like what the Valkyrie wants to be, but better. Might have to throw in an OLF now too
Try out the Innova Savant. Big Jerm and Nate Sexton have both bagged them and describe them as that beat in Thundy. Available in Halo plastic as well for a bit more stability out of the box.
Bag the same run 1.4 of orion LF. Honestly the best 9 speed I've ever thrown. Chained out with it from 350 this weekend.
Next time you're in a shop with some Mint Diamondbacks, give one a nice grope. The wing shape is almost identical to that Orion and they fly like Thunderbirds.
I came here to recommend the Diamondback too! Don’t be swayed by the flight numbers, they are incorrect.

I’m pretty sure the OLF is a wraith top on a Firebird bottom (don’t remember where I read that). Makes sense the hand feel is just right.
Stoked you love that OLF! The Quantums are pretty reliable across the runs, but you should def check out some of the Sirius runs too. They’re one of the best discs to cycle. OLFheads everywhere are rejoicing right now 🤙🏼

The kyle klein vanguard is my goto thunderbird clone rn, always been a thunderbird guy too but there’s just something about the swirly s line plastic that feels sooooo good to me

Solid video! I have a Quantum Orion LS that was part of a player pack I received. I love that disc, it has a slight late turn that makes it fly far and straight
They go far when you hit them flat🤝

You need to feel a discraft Vulture. A Vulture in Z plastics is my preferred forehand disc
Used to throw a vulture, not a fan of discraft plastic though🤝
I just lost a super swirly star plastic orion LF recently. I was getting very straight lines out of it, increcible disc

Big z Vulture is really good its my thundy replacement. I wish I had another champ viking. Has a rim like the roadrunner but flys like beat in thundy.
I threw vultures a few years ago and really like them. I just think most discraft plastic feels horrible 🤝
@@broderic yeah I don't like esp or z either but big z is pretty good. It's similar to cosmic Neutron. I bag a Big z vulture Big z machete and z meteor. That's it from discraft

best 9 speed i've found is the Discmania CD2 Innova run Roaming Thunder II, My Kastaplast Lots comes in 2nd, very closee

I recently found a Construct for that slot. My son prefers the Supreme Escape. Thunderbird never gelled with me.

@broderic curious have you done a full review of the Era, not quite the same slot but I’ve been using one for a while and it’s quickly turning into my go-to woods disc both fh and bh. Like a faster more torque resistant FD

@@weswarren5987 yeah, both the swirly S blend for more hyzer flip/less effort straight shots, and the newer halo ones you can hit hard for some turn or hyzer flip. Super glad innova re used the mold

These are probably around that 300-320 mark. I’d say all these shots are on the shorter end for when I would throw these but this park didn’t quite have enough room to stretch them any further 🤝

I've been really really leaning on my undertaker lately, it's in that same category. I don't forehand a lot but I have no problem going to it with the undertaker

Undertakers took out the thunderbirds for me but still have a soft spot for the thunderbirds though
Seems like you're running on a great forehand High. How do you think that will fare without having a great backhand as well? Just talking in general
In my mind my backhand midrange game is actually the strongest part of my game and I’d actually consider myself a backhand dominant player but I’ve been dealing with a hip issue for about the last month so I’ve probably been throwing 80-90% forehands. I’m pretty confident in both forehand and backhand (when my hip isn’t wrecked) and feel as though I can hit almost any shot shape/angle from both sides🤝
My backhand form has taken a massive hit as of late with my hip issue so over the next couple months I’m hoping to dial it back In🤝

I have the arm for the high speed but it’s not very fun.. you hit it on the head. Why bother with the high speed stuff unless you are trying to scorch something or you need a ton of fade
