Without double jeopardy it wouldnt matter how innocent you were. You could have been on another planet, it wouldnt matter. They would have an infinite number of opportunities to prosecute you. Just try a different strategy each time until one sticks. Its better to let 100 guilty men walk free then to find one innocent man guilty.

Blaming double jeopardy in _this case_ is missing the point. This should have been an easy prosecution for police. They hadn't even searched the suspect's home properly, and they gave a deal to a witness that actually _weakened_ her testimony. The investigators fumbled this easy slam dunk. So yeah, frustrating but not for the reasons that most people seem to focus on.

If I were a criminal investigator, I would be greatly interested in “why murderers feel they have to ultimately take the life of another. In some cases, after analysing the murderer, it is clearly obvious why they committed the crime but in others, it must be like entering the mind of an alien.
I would also want to build a picture of the killer's personality.
For me, the murderous mind seems so indifferent from what I believe to be “normal”
I guess the case that interested me most was that of Fred and Rosemary West, it interests me because I can not begin to understand their mind.
For the most part I struggle to understand how murderers can take a life and then carry on with their daily life, especially in the case of Fred & Rose, given that they lived
with their murder victims buried in their house and garden.

  • @NudePostingConspiracyTheories

Hi Dr Grande. This is a different topic, as I’m not sure where to put the requests you mention from people. My request is that you analyse, please, the unbelievable case of Katherine Knight, down here in Australia and the murder of John arrive by Katherine,. Also, an alternative one - which has really got to us down here for years - is the case of David and Catherine Birnie. Anyways, thanks for your ongoing work. From Me

This case has always bothered me. I learned of it as a kid watching American Justice. I'm so glad you did this. He was a very depraved and sickening individual. Mary was equally guilty because she likely harbored jealousy toward the victim. So infuriating.
