this is exactly where i grew up for a large part of my childhood. 30 minutes from Santa Cruz in the redwood forest. feels like I am home while watching this video.

Your comments about movement meditation for women make so much sense to me and make me understand why my body prefers it. Also totally relate to the pros and cons of both small towns and cities. I'm from a small country town and moved to the city for a few years for university, which was honestly a bit of a struggle but I kept myself grounded by finding patches of nature wherever I could. And now I'm back home with my parents in my small hometown and again, there's that push and pull because I definitely feel more content here with family and more nature, but it can get lonely when there aren't many same-age people. But yeah, as you said, it's about learning to drop into the present and flow with each season of life. :)
Also, on a side note, I wanted to pop in two books I've enjoyed:
- "Sensitive" by Jenn Granneman and Andre Solo (it's all about thriving in the world as a highly sensitive person and just made me feel so validated in who I am)
- "Care" by Brooke McAlary (a sweet book about ways of caring for ourselves and for the earth)
