    6:40 omg ive been reading a book about postpartum depletion and it shows how in a lot of cultures they traditionally keep a woman warm during that postpartum period which makes sense because estrogren is low during that time!

    Love this! I’m 24, and I just got off hormonal birth control for the first time since I started taking it 2 years ago. I’m just at starting to learn about the beauty of the different phases of my cycle. I’m lucky that I knew what I was like as an adult NOT on hormonal BC - most girls are told to start taking it in their young teens, and literally don’t know what they’re like as a natural healthy adult woah without messed up hormones.
    Anyway, hormonal birth control fUCKED me up; I had depressive episodes for the first time in my life, became an angry person when I never was before, had hair-trigger stress levels, and NO libido.
    I used to be the OPPOSITE of that before hormonal birth control. And I’m done.
    I’m finally healing, and rediscovering feeling healthy, whole, natural, and happy.
    Subscribed!

      To me, I think, it's the opposite. I've had thyroiditis since I was a child and in this past year suspected endometriosis (passed down) so I got on birth control again (was on it for 1 year for acne) so that the endom wouldn't progress and those pills made me and my cycle feel more stable and cleared my skin. Overal decent stuff.
      Although some hormonal hiccups still happen, I still feel unbalanced sometimes, but it's not that different from when I was in a natual cycle.

    9:08 ahh I remember reading this somewhere im so grateful to be reminded of this truth. it seems counterintuitive to the stereotypical menstruating woman that society paints a picture of...but its like maybe if we are feeling emotional about something that we should dig deeper into that and listen to what our body is trying to communicate :)

      Can you clarify your question for me? :)

    • @elizabethmariefit
      @elizabethmariefit Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@emmalrobles of course! I know temperature is really important for our cycle. For example, not doing an ice bath during the luteal phase and menstruation, so the uterus can naturally be warmer and support the higher progesterone.
      What I am asking though is does your cycle syncing protocol change when it’s December vs when it’s July.
      I am also trying to understand how quantum health plays into our female biology. I had read where in the winter months of the year that consuming less fruit when a person gets less sun…is better for mitochondria health as there is less deuterium build up.
      Hope that helps clarify 😁🤟

    When I had a natural cycle, of 35 days I tried cycle syncing for quite a few months, but it just didn't work, I couldn't really tell apart the cycles :( Maybe it's because I have a thyroid desease or maybe it's endometriosis, but yeah, just wanted to share, because I believe it's a nice thing to be in tune with your cycle, but to people like me it's a bit sad because:
    1) we already have to keep up with the "man's" rythm everyday and we can't just dissapear into nature or the countryside to regulate
    2) our hormones are kinda unpredictable and it's hard to track cycles when one day it's "let's go go go", another day it's mood swings/fatigue and another day it's apathy.
    So to people like me, birth control is needed, but then we get shamed for being "unnatural" or excluded from cycle-related conversations

    • @emmalrobles
      @emmalrobles  Před 3 měsíci
