Today is all about playing with the new toy, excavators are so much fun! We'll try to find a little gold while we're at it, you know, as a bit of a bonus, but really, we just want to play in the dirt!

Absolute slowest excavator operator in alaska
U welcome...and u may want to move wash plant inside where paydirt is after all u can always move it later and clean around it with the wheel loader or bulldozer (wheel loader is a bit weak on traction and climbing)
Also there is "cheat" for the pumps, all you need is the one pump, the panning tub, and all you do is put the filter head in the panning tub (full of unlimited water). This way you can take your washplant to the far side of the claim to make late game easier.
That's going to be patched soon, besides, there are a lot of people who would feel really let down if I pulled a stunt like that!
If you get the pan you used for panning and fill it with water you can put the hose in there and the water never runs out
The big stuff falling of the washplant is because of the Grizzlie bars.
Glad you don't have to empty the tailings of the washplant. They should make excavator controls to have a good simulation.
They get better later on, the sensitivity was reduced slightly :)
This game looks sooooo fun!!! I can't wait till it comes out on console!! My PC is junk and it can barely handle FS17 so I get most of my games on my Xbox. The developers for the game said they will try to get the game to console in first quarter of 2018.

VevoLyrics thanks, was wondering if I just missed it or if he never turned it on. Seemed like an awful low fold count compared to just shoveling from the other spot. Wonder if this is why?
In Finland we have summer diesel (lowest storage temperature -5C and lowest temperature to use in well maintained engines is -15C) in summer time, winter diesel in winter (-29C and -34C) and arctic diesel (-40C and -44C) when it gets really cold.
The coldest we get here is about -10, although it rarely gets that cold, normally not much lower than -5 in the winter. We only have pretend winters here in the UK!
Also here in Finland we have diesel and then we have other stuff (don't know the translate) that is basically same but with red color and has less taxes. It's used in farming and mining.
Tuukka Leskinen dunno how its on Finland but in the US (im polish btw) you have normal petrol (or was it diesel?) which you can use normaly, in a SUV or truck, and you have the same thing, but coloured red. Its much cheaper due to lower taxes, and its deaigned for factories/farms and it is basically the same thing you use in trucks, but if cops catch you doing that youre gonna be on a shithole of a trouble
Hower167 Yes we have regular diesel, red dyed diesel and gasolines/petrols. That colored diesel is way cheaper and indeed if you get caught using it in a car, truck and since 2008 in a boat engine you can pretty much lower your pants and bend over. It is meant for agricultural and industrial use. On the roads you have to use regular diesel.
Frithgar but I think your winter is more annoying. Wet and dark. Until global warming levels our climate playing fields our winter can be cold as heck but snow makes it less dark. And snow and ice means eternal birthday for real wheel drives ;)

It bugs me how the day-night schedule is of somewhere closer to the equator compared to Alaska where everything is quite exaggerated based on the season.
Hi, I really liked this episode much like the others but I have a bit of constructive criticism for you. I'd really love to see you do more things than just excavating, I kind of got bored halfway through but your commentary saves the day on that behalf. Honestly I really wanted to see you sell off the gold and have some advancement for the episode. Honestly I love this series and it wouldn't matter if you changed or not. It was a good episode though, I'm just trying to help you out. :)
I know I sound a bit impatient but I would've wanted to see 40 minutes of something other than excavating.

You should have a fair few buckets to help with going faster.
If u have extra mouse buttons try those dipper and mouse click the bucket feels more legit for me

Frithgar, you seem super interested in this. I''d suggest checking out the ""Discovery" television channel where the reality show, "Gold Rush" that spawned this game resides. This game is modeled on that show and it shows you the real life people doing just what you are doing. Even the pickup truck you use in the game is the one they use in the show.

I think you can use a joystick in this game. I have got my Hotas X joystick setup on this game, and have added some keybindings, but have not tried it yet, as I have only just started a new game and have to go through all the beginner stuff, but I'll let you know if it works all right.
So, Frith, the bit where you forgot what you were saying, you were talking about a cheat with the wash tub...

Would it make it easier to load the wash plant(s) if you stockpiled a good amount of material near the plant and then loaded from the pile? I dont own the game yet, but it seems to me it might save some trouble if you had a good amount of material nearby instead of scrapping around further and further.

Matthew_J_27 Build a PC, don't buy. Mine cost $1100 and it is a mid-range system.
You only need a relatively low end one for this. Not ten years old low end, mind you, but a 4390K and a 960 should do you on max graphics.
Hmmm, may be you can use 2 joys on a controller if you have any?

Another CZcamsr, who also has controlled excavators, used an Xbox controller for the digging.
I'll have to pinch one of my kids controllers and see if I can figure out how to use it with the PC I think!
Frithgar Microsoft makes their controllers compatible with Windows computers. But it needs to be a wired controller. Which tend to be cheaper than a wireless. A wired Xbox One controller can be around 20 USD.

I've seen a few other videos.. and people who have ran the magnetite a second time at 10% and nothing happened.. Maybe if the bucket of "dirt" was at 100% instead of 10% you might see a difference? I don't know but you don't appear to be doing anything wrong.

You have to be careful with the car accidents because I crashed with a tree and lost the front part of the car. Btw. You can open the front of the car and can check it out if you're interested, there are parts you can change later on in the game but there are updates required for it. You didn't need to replace it, because you bought yours after they patched it. So the only one you got is the fixed one.

Dunno, I heard before it was fixed, the water & electrical connections were backwards. Guess you got lucky?
In the previous video, when I saw you put the bucket and arm down like professionals do by the end of their shift, I figured it must have been habit/experience. I also thought that another reason that it was done incase there was a leak, that it didn't suddenly fall down (and possibly hurt someene.)
why do you need a wash plant just scoop into the wave table
You do have a mind like a steel trap, anything that goes in it gets crushed and mangled.
Anyone who thinks your mind is not like a steel trap can be safely ignored because they obviously are too stupid to understand cause and effect.

How is that possible that I was today digging for couple of hours exactly same way like you but I got only around 1.2 oz of gold from one bucket??? That is strange. Wait, is this episode done before or after last patch which reduced amount of gold getting from machines?
Matej Rendek I don't know if it's from the patch or because the Wave Table never got turned on. He turned the water jets on, but not the electricity. The power icon stays grey the whole time.
I recorded just over 24 hrs before it went live, I'm not actually sure if there was a small patch in between then to fix a few things
Yeah devs said that they reduced amount of gold from machines so maybe today you will get same amount like me :-) and if not I am gonna be supper angry XD btw yesterday I couldnt start my water pumps until I changed water filter for the new one. I was suprised I thought nothing can break yet :-)

BigBoy Gaming I used a xbox controler it works great and you can swap and change with mouse and keyboard whilst playing without twiddling with settings

Yes, it even automatically switches shows the controls when you use it. I use the xbox controller along with the keyboard; Just have to click the mouse once to tell the game you want to switch to keyboard.
