  • This video offers a partial solution for the problem that arises when you want to replace an integrated bracelet on a watch. Lug sizes on these watch cases tend to be non-standardised as they usually fit to the centre link of the proprietary bracelet. In addition they also have a different preferable bracelet width for it to be aligned with the outer parameters of the watch case. Finally there is the depth of the connecting centre link that can't be too short and doesn't look well when it is too long, producing wide gaps between case and bracelet. And so your Cinderella can't find anything else that will fit without changing it's appearance in Frankenstein.
It is good to know that at least for the more classic Seiko5 range there are options for swapping out bracelets. Due to the rather standardised way Seiko bracelets for 20mm lug-width are made, it is possible to fit these inbetween a 10mm wide lugs.
    Happy swapping.
