how to wear long Zulu straps on a small wrist (or any Nato with wide keepers): no bulk at all.

  • because of the success of my 'hom to NATO on a small wrist' ( • Alternative way of fit... ), I wanted to do a follow-up on how I wear my ZULU. ZULU straps are NATO straps that carry very wide oval keepers and although I initially found them to be very jingly and unsuitable for my small wrist, I came up with a method that almost makes them perfect. The longer they are, the better it even gets. This very secure way of wearing your strap is a bit of a fumble to put on, but easy to take off and it looks very well and leaves you with no bulky excess strap sticking out at all. That sounds almost too good to be true? watch and decide for yourself.

    My god that watch dial is beautiful ❤️

      Yes it is, although it is faux/printed and every dial on these watches have the same lines, whether they are blue or silver white. That doesn't bother me though, but it might be good to know.

      You mean that my reflection in the crystal is pigeoning? This is the first time I noticed 😂. Can't explain it though, maybe my phone is in the way of my line of vision. I do have a very basic set up.

    Why would anyone go through aggravation to put a watch on?

    • @buying_Time
      @buying_Time  Před rokem

      Please explain what you mean with aggravation in this context, I don't understand. do you mean it is too complicated for your liking? If so I think this is a hansom and comfortable way of wearing a the watch. Why do people wear shoes with shoelaces if you can have Velcro?

      @@buying_Time Sorry no offense intended. I just don't like the look of nato straps. So seeing how difficult it seems to put it on makes it that much worse for me.

      @@garyd599 no offense taken. I just didn't understand, assuming you were interested in these straps. I can give you some reasons why I wear them. 1) I like the color they add and how they look on most watches. 2) they can be very comfortable and have a good fit on smaller wrists like mine, with which wearing a watch can become aggravating of its own very quickly and 3) they offer quite some security..

      I rather hope you are joking to be honest. 😁 Given your research surely you must know that there are several ways to wear NATO and zulu straps, apart from the classic intended one. This is MY method, which provides some extra comforts for smaller wrists like mine. Please explain to me how that is wrong. I am dying to know what I missed out on.

      @@ROLEXLOVER123 well, don't hold my tiny brain in so much suspense then. Why don't you make a video yourself on CZcams to help deplorables like me? I will even let you post a link to it here in the furtherance of eternal knowledge. Please help me to expand my puny existence. I implore you.

      @buying_Time The Zulu is installed incorrectly - the point of the double rings is for the strap to pass through and then back loop over the second ring and out through the the first like a D ring buckle - that way if the gets snagged on something the stain is taken up on the strap part that passes under the watch instead of snapping a spring bar off the watch. This is the total point of the Zulu strap and what differentiates it from a NATO strap. I doubt you understand.

      I've tried to add a link to a reddit post which show exactly what I mean but it will not let me. I've tried my best to describe it but even when I read what I've written it sounds rather complicated but it's not.
